I was 29 when Keith died. I'm now 56. Yet it feels like yesterday. I was, and still am a big fan. It was a tragic loss.

I was graduating from High school at this time and my friend told me Keith had died. I couldn't believe it! Everyone told me I had a country voice like Keith, Randy Travis or Merle Haggard when I sang. I loved their country voices and to me it just came naturally to also have that sound. I still love Keith Whitley's songs and voice. Today's Country voice for me is Josh Turner.

I was at the Winnie, Tx. festival and found out Keith was playing on stage as he was just passing by so he stopped. Such an amazing musician. Gone too soon. I still listen to his music.
I was on my way to work when I heard about him dying. My heart poured out for Lorrie and them kids. It's sad, my husband died the same way. If you or someone you know has a problem with Alcohol or Drug's, please seek immediate attention, cause it's a horrible way to go! I will always love you Keith, and so will Lorrie.

I was in my pick up on a California highway when I heard the news I had to pull over I couldn't believe what I heard. I cried it hurt so much when I heard. I'll never forget him.
We miss you I listen to your songs every day you will never be forgotten.

I'm only 40 and I grew up listening to him and today,2018 I cried like a baby cause inever knew he was dead till today,,, My deepest condolences to you and your family. I love him threw his music. Fable

I remember this day as though it was yesterday. His music was played everyday in my home. . .Somehow through the years, I have lost my stereo. I need to get another one. His and Lottie's son has an awesome voice so I need to purchase some of his music.

Only God can get people thru that kind of pain and sadness.
He passed away a couple of weeks before I graduated from high school. So sad . Hard to believe it will be 31 years tomorrow.
I just went to see his grave in Spring Hill today. Soneone has placed nice flowers on there. It only says Keith D. if someone is not a fan they won't know whos in that plot
Country entertainers are the best and closest to each other of all. Not even gospel are as loving and that's sad but true.
Keith apperared at the Black Gold in Hazard Ky just when he was becoming famous and I think he was coming back that fall the same year he died What a talented singer he was the greatest country singer I know I ever saw still to this day

Linds Ritchter.Funny I just came across your comment right after watching the 32nd annual memorial of Keith.And a fund raiser given by Lorrie .family and friend's to raise money for a new head stone for Keith 's grave. There was a huge picture of what it will look like.its called weeping Angel. It is so beautiful. But Lorries name is not on the new one.Just Keith's. So sad.

Was princesses Dianne still alive? I know the name for sure. A lot of good musicians have come under the bridge. I heard Willie died just the other day, but it was fake. Spring of 2023.

I am interested still today why you say foul play? I kinda don't disagree after reading Lorrie Morgan's book Forever yours Faithfully. Definitely think she wanted everyone to know about his last few nights alive. Probably why he never got into country music hall of fame
