Color & Ergo & Screen : Canon > Lumix > Sony
IBIS & Built : Lumix > Canon > Sony
Video features : Just Lumix
I'm all about Lumix. Other then the AF history, they try to put as much features into their cameras as they can without put a 'Cannon/Sony tax' on it. In the end, the tool you have and are comfortable is the best. More about where your lens are at. They all do the job.
I have owned Nikon and Canon DSLR's over the years..and then a few years ago made the jump to Lumix. The S1 is still the best camera I have ever owned. Love it to death. It's a master of everything.
@@TrollMeister_ My first camera was a Cannon. Went with the marketing hype at the time. After using it for a year I learnt that Cannon is like iphone, they don't make the best things, they market the best things. They love new inexperienced youtubers promoting their products because they know they will invest in the glass that will keep them with their bodies. I will never buy Canon ever again.
я купил s5iix, пока что по ощущениям у сони лучше автофокус
I prefer to listen to your comparison videos than any other TH-camr. You are very unbiased and give it to you as it is. It always seems that Sony is flawless and there are no downsides to it when we know that all of them have their flaws. It comes down to what you prefer and what flaws you can live with.
That means a lot, I appreciate the kind words!
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make this I imagine it was a lot of work! Have downloaded the files for some pixel peeping but am happy in the Canon ecosystem and was good to see the strengths and weaknesses of these 3
Thank you for watching, I’m really glad the files helped!
Great comparison. Simple and what you want to know.
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
Great review and comparison, really helpful. Only missed information on the viewfinders, but good to see someone comparing these camera’s on all the other aspects.
Thank you for your more than interesting videos. And this is very generous to provide the RAW files and it's a key difference with other reviews : I really appreciate to be able to make my own assessment of what very cares for me.
Thank you for watching, really glad you find the files helpful.
I really appreciate this review and so much work behind all these comparisons, without a doubt a very extensive and complete work. Thank You
Brilliant overview, which basically answered all of my questions. Well done, sir!
Thank you for watching!
Fantastic comparison. Thanks mate
Usually I don't subscribe for just one video, but yours was amazing and I think you deserve much more! So here you have a new one! Congratulations :) And smile to the camera, you both look great
Wow man I was waiting for such a video compao
Thanks for this great video!!! I have been thinking about buying one of those three cameras, I'll go with the Lumix S5 Mark II !!
How strange to be browsing camera reviews and come across shots of the Peace Gardens! Hello from someone who also frequents Sheff.
Cheers for a comprehensive breakdown, and for sharing RAW files too - they're particularly helpful
Your review is flawless, thanks.
Wow, thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Good afternoon. I thank you very much for this review. You described all the cameras so well without missing a single detail.
Thank you so much!
I also wanted to thank you for this great comparison and especially for providing us with the photos and footage to play around with! Probably gonna buy the S5II.
Thank you for watching! You’ll love the Lumix.
Super detailed. Thank you.
That’s how a comparison needs to be done, super useful. Thanks & subbed.
Thank you so much!
100% agree with you 👍
Thanks for the video 😊
Outstanding review! As a former Z6ii owner I went A7iv for the customization and lens options and price-to-performance of Tammy and Sigma glass. At heart I'm a Canon guy that adores Nikon colors. The color science on the A7iv and it's 33mp sensor was a great middle ground and easy to work with in post. With the exceptional customization options and "My Menu" on the Sony, I never have to deep dive into the menu architecture, but it is less confusing than the Nikon to me personally. Not quite as intuitive as Canon, but vastly improved over the A7iii. Canon is losing a generation of Camera shooters by not allowing 3rd Party lens development (me included). With a family of 8, I just can't justify the $$$ for Canon RF glass. I could buy EF mount adapted (and the adaptors are excellent), but that seems retroactive. IF Canon opens their mount, I'll be selling the Sony. The lower end options of Canon's lineup (including used RPs) are very attractive options for my kids. Would LOVE to see a series on the best adapted EF glass for Canon RF mounts. If you can't take phenomenal images with all today's offerings, it's not the camera that's the problem ... that coming from someone who made a living off the 1st EOS body and a darkroom :D>.

Great work, appreciate it!

Great video, super unbiased and well done. Just subscribed! Keep up the great work
Thank you Rafael!
Great video, thanks.
I had the Sony a7III and wanted to upgrade to the a7IV when it was launched. At the camera shop, I handled the new a7IV, took a few shots and didn't feel excited about it. The shop owner recommended me to try out the Canon R5 and RF 24-70L. I was blown away by the images produced by the Canon combo, and bought them instead of the a7IV, I agree with James' observation that images straight out of the Sony camera, in particular, human skin tone are not so flattering and I often required more time to correct them. Thanks for the great review of these 3 fantastic cameras.
R5 is not the same price range and A7 IV can only be fairly compared at the same resolution (or through cropping). But either camera is great.
The idea that a particular brand has some "magical" color science which fixes everything is a complete myth. Every damn camera for decades can shoot raw and thus anything can be made to look like anything. Everyone should simply buy what they like or use what they've got because the camera you use means very little.
He up sold you and you fell for it.
@@Yupthereitism On the contrary, I should thank the camera shop sale person for the good recommendation. I have never been happier and I am still enjoying my Canon R5 and lenses, and gradually discovering new things. My Canon R5 is getting better and better with each firmware update and the upcoming update is rumored to be huge.
@@zenscape i was a former r5 owner but couldnt fall in love with the system. I felt the lenses were overpriced and inferior to every sony lens I tested. The final straw was when I tried a sony 70-200 f2.8 ii on the sony a7rv. the sony lens was lighter, internal zooming, and more accurate at focusing. The sony images were sharper and easier to edit. I just cant figure paying top dollar for canon lenses when sony is making objectively better stuff for much better prices. The tamron 35-150 is a GAME CHANGER. I use that lens exclusively for events now and it is amazing. Canon has nothing of the sort, and even if they did create a similar lens it would cost 3k.
Anyway, im still trying to sell a few canon lenses and held onto my eos r because I enjoy using it as a travel camera, but professionally I dont think there is any reason to go with canon.
excellent comparison, the best out there, thanks for all your work on this video. zen billings in canada
Thank you Zen!
This really helped me in picking up my next camera. Thanks😊
I’m really glad it helped, I’d love to know what you’ll be picking up?
@@JamesReader I’m using canon from past 10 years and I was thinking to go with sony but with the help of this video. I see no reason to switch in Sony at this budget. (R6 Mark ii)
Amazing video! I just purchased a second body (R6 M2) and appreciate the intelligent contrast between ecosystems!
This is the best comparison i have seen yet of R6 vs S3-IV. Thanks!
Thank you Jesper!
great one
Well done mate
Perfect video thank you!
Thank you Alex!
Great work! Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Every well done review!
Thank you!
very good review, thank you
Thank you!
Awesome review comparison! One of the most detailed, unbiased and comprehensive review! Video quality production is top notch, you mentioned stuff that most reviewers I’ve watched didn’t even mentioned like the AF example, didn’t know about that issue till now. easily one of the best review comparison videos of these products out here! Thanks for the wonderful review video fam! I’m getting the Canon R6 Mark II soon!
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words. Really glad to hear it was helpful, I have no doubt you’re gonna love the R6 MKII.
THE BEST COMPARISON VIDEO IN THE INTERNET . THANKS FOR YOUR WORK .
Thank you!
Great review!
Thank you!
Excellent! 👌
For the landscape comparison I think is not apples to apples, as the Lumix wasn't shot in the exact same light conditions as you can see in the far. This should have been made with the 3 cameras taking the picture at the same time.
For the rest of the test comparison, it's a pretty good one you made. Very informative, thanks for it!
Hi James.. very interesting review .. I'm waiting for my s5iix and I was pleased with the results from the s5ii in your review and can't wait to get my hands on my new lumix. BTW where is Malham as I would love to go take a few shots of that lone tree.. it looks an amazing place to visit. Keep up the good work n looking forward to your next vlog 👍
Thank you Kenneth! Malham is in North Yorkshire, UK. The lone tree is just outside of Malham village, if you send me an e-mail I can send over details of how to find the tree. Great place and I certainly didn't capture it to it's full potential.
For landscapes, especially the scene you shot, you could have put them into "high resolution mode". The Lumix also can suppress movement. On the GH6, you can shoot high res handheld. For video, dynamic range is especially important, but only the Lumix offers proper tools to getting the exposure correct- Lumix all the way!
my exact thoughts!
Amazing rich review 👌
Thank you so much!
great video thanks :) you have access to beautiful cameras and models :D
Thank you !
Wow, I can't thank you enough for putting together such a fantastic comparison video! Seriously, it's been a game-changer for me. I've been on the fence between A7 IV and R6ii, but after watching this video, I'm sold on the Canon R6 II. Can't wait to get my hands on canon!
Thank you for the kind comment! I’m really glad the video helped.
amaizing review
Thank you for this video…👍
Thank you for watching!
Awesome vidéo! Im curious about the 1080p quality, who of the 3 has the sharpest 1080p 60fps ?
Well done
Very nice video! I am trying to choose between the Canon and the Sony. I like Panasonic cams for video, but I'm not sure about stills. I noticed the change in screen position for the comparisons. First Canon, Sony and Lumix, then Canon, Lumix, Sony. Was that intentional? Thx.
best comparison video on youtube
Excellent Comparison!
Thank you!
I'm always impressed by your reviews but this one was on another level.
I think your channel has the potential to become one of the best photography channels on TH-cam.
The images are smooth and pleasant. The music and voice acting are great.
Most importantly, you maintain the best possible balance between technicalities and real-world experience in your videos
WELL DONE
Thank you for the amazing comment Nathan. Very encouraging, I really appreciate the kind words
Very helpful! It made me finally tip it over to the Canon, so thanks alot for this useful video🙂
Thank you Vincent!
amazing video..thanks for your effort...i love canon R6 even im a sony fan for long time
Thank you!
Very nice unbiased comparison 👏👏
Thank you!
Very detailed and unbiased comparison. I have used A7IV, but S5 is suprising good for its price.
Nice video! Im seriously considering these 3 body at this point. I love canon but those video specs of the lumix are tempering
doing video, own the lumix s5ii, I couldn't be happier!
Great video! Very very informative with accurate and clear pros and cons. It really helped me decide which camera to buy.
Btw, I really liked the jacket in the video that you’re wearing. I would appreciate it if you could let me know the brand?😅
Thank you so much Suman! The jacket is from REISS here in the UK. Unfortunately they aren’t selling the exact one any more but this one is very similar if you google search “REISS JERRY
INTERLOCK OVERSHIRT”. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much.
Thank you for this great review! I'm not sure if you had the opportunity to test the Fuji X-H2S, but if you did, in terms of video quality and features for run and gun situations, which one would you choose between the Fuji X-H2S and Lumix S5II? Cheers
Great video; plain, simple and neutral👍
Thank you!!
Great review. Thanks. I'm impressed with how good Canon AF is.
Great video! I think i would go with the S5 II due to the price and the video options. 👍
Great choice 👍
thanks for the files that you are shared.. it's very useful.. my only complain with r6ii is the dynamic range in video..but I think at the end I can live with that.. maybe Canon will make an update with clog2 :) I'm dreaming
thanks for your review and those sample RAWs. I've been looking for a new Hybrid system and have been leaning toward the Sonys as I love all the lens options with that system. Then the S5ii came out and made the choice even more confusing. (as I'm a fan of the Sigma contemporary lenses, which both systems use) But after playing around with the Raw files in Lightroom, I can't not unsee how good the canon colours are, especially skin tones. Even when trying to match all three, the Sony image just looks like the model is ill, (very pale) Lumix does skin tones a little better, but seems to have more Cyan, but when trying to fix that, the face becomes too yellow. Canon just looks right, even without any correction. A shame, as it's the system that doesn't allow for the new Sigma glass.
Thanks for this huge effort and fair review! I want to switch from a Canon 5D II with some lenses and flashes. So perhaps I will choose the R6 II or the R8.
Good afternoon, I got the Lumix S5II and I just updated the machine body and it's working a lot better!
I still have my Sony A7III too.
Have used A7IV & R6ii. Can’t go wrong with either. Went with R6ii for AF & build. Canon feels like a curvy smooth brick in the hand. I know RF lenses are pricey but they’re really good.
Agreed.
However, you can use EF lenses with a good adapter, so it seems like lens choice is not an issue for Canon R6 m II at all…
@@grigormarch9109 does it have wobble effect at 24mm??
Thank you love your comparisons and observations. I shoot primary with an R6 and a RF 24-70mm. I have invested in the Canon Rf mount. It’s $$ expensive. I was a tough call as I am still recovering from business loss during the pandemic. This video confirms I made a good choice. However all brands are pretty good these days
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! You're making me think about investing in an R6 MK2. Especially the way Canon renders the skin tones are convincing. I tested the S5 MK2 against my S5 MK1 for a few days. I noticed a slight oversharpening compared to the original S5. However, I found the color noise behavior more disturbing. The S5 MK2 shows significant green in the shadows, the MK1 shows a more natural black and white noise behavior. The real reason I returned the camera is a sound interference problem when connecting an external microphone to the jack audio port. There is a high frequency pulsating sound that doubles its frequency when you switch the frame rate from 25p to 50p. This annoying sound can only be heard very quietly, but it is disturbing in quiet passages during interviews, for example. I am waiting for the S5 MK2 X and hope that Panasonic will notice the issue in time and shield the audio signal path better.
Thank you for watching Martin! Very concerning to hear about the audio issues with the S5 II on such a video-centric camera.
I hear you about the noise colors, but even more shocking is the oversharpening and noise reduction on the standard profiles compared to the S5 and S1. Never seen such bad image quality on a Panasonic camera, the 6K is oversharpened and the 4K is full of details filtering (smoothing) in low light. The difference is huge when cropping. V-Log is the only profiles almost as good as before but we must deal with noise and the weird green tint in the shadows.
Great review. I tested the Sony A7R IV and RV gret AF and picture quality but I really don't like the ergonomics and it's too small. I'll have a try at the EOS R6 Mk II.
thanks for the effort and the sharing. super helpful for me as i continue to dabble in BOTH sony and canon. ugh. i'm presently using the Sony A7R3 AND the EOS R. i am interested in upgrading to either the A74 or the R6mk2. i am photo centric, events-headshots-life style- but 2-3x a year i get a video gig. i was hoping to rely on sony's s-cinetone rather than the log profiles. thumbs up.
thank you
When comparing chromatic aberrations check if you have corrections enabled in Lightroom. By default they are enabled for Canon and diabled for Sony.
i believe he checked it. Ive tried that RF in so many scenarios and their optics is just so phenomenal.
Great!
I use my cameras more for video, and went with Panasonic S5II. Very happy with it, looking forward to adding a good value 35mm prime to the kit lens. The build quality is very reassuring. Any thoughts on the Panasonic 35mm f/1.8 compared to the Sigma f/1.4, for video? Leaning toward the lighter / smaller / cheaper Panasonic f/1.8, as have been very happy with my Panasonic MFT 50mm f/1.8. I'm based in Valencia, Spain, so felt the overheating would be a real problem in Summer with Canon or Sony A7IV. And I did want for it photography too, so EVF-less FX-30 was not for me. Other considerations were price/value. Canon is pricey in Europe and Panasonic had good Summer offers, making it 800 euros cheaper! Kit lens deal was a bargain for starters, and lenses, like Panasonics own primes and the Sigmas are better value propositions. But also IBIS is decisive for me, full HDMI is essential, 6k leaves me room to grow, am more comfortable with Panasonic ergonomics, familiar menus, great video tools. Already was on GH5, which am keeping as secondary camera. Even if I had $1000 more, I wouldn't have chosen Canon. I'd have sold the GH5 and MFT lenses, and budgeted for a second S5II with kit lens. With video, that price difference multiples when you will tend to buy more than one camera. So, I expect Panasonic will sell many S5IIs with budget conscious videographers.
Lovely review, thanks for all that. I saw in a few forums that the colours on the r6ii have a yellow tint, especially on skin tones. have you noticed something like that? your samples look perfect. other reviews look horrible. like really yellowish. are you showing the jpegs? because maybe its only an issue with the raw files
Thank you so much! The photos used in the video are all RAW files, I haven’t noticed any yellow tint with the R6 II. The original R6 had this issue a little bit I feel the mark II has fixed that.
Great video. Just one thing, which one is better weather sealed?
It’s impossible to tell without tear downs of each, but my money is on the Panny. The R6 only has mid-grade sealing, and while Sonys have gotten better, they still suffer from crap doors and the hot shoe problem. Panasonic had to compete with Olympus for over a decade, and so got really good at building bodies.
S5 looks the cleanest to me. I paused on the ISO frame grabs around 5:09 and I disagree on your assumption of NR for the S5II. I’ve seen mixed reviews all over the place on ISO. tests on all three of these cameras. Your examples show the hair detail on the model is as good if not better than all in these examples. Also, when shooting 6k, the noise is even finer. The S5II 6k open gate 3:2 is one clincher for myself- especially mated with the SIRUI 50mm 1.6x anamorphic for 2.4:1 CinemaScope aspect ratio. I’ve seen the raw footage from this combo and it’s outstanding.
The S5II "appears" noisier, but is preserving more detail, whereas the Canon looks cleaner, but is definitely employing noise reduction - reducing graininess at the expense of fine detail. (This said as an R6 owner)
Its crazy to me that other brands have no functions like waveforms.I use Lumix and I would be totally lost without the waveforms, such nice tool to nail exposure!
When you have a proper LCD/EVF you don't need that at all, I never use them on my C70 and my image is always spot on. All those things are derived from the times when LCDs and EVFs were crap and somehow many cameras still have them. Having the ability to just look at the LCD/EVF and set a proper exposure and white balance is the key for efficient workflow, and Sony people had never heard about that obviously :) :)
awesome, how did you know I have these three at my shortlist? :))
Good to see you again James. Last time we met, I was debating between getting a Prime or a 70-200 zoom for portraits (I can't afford Canon RF Glass for the moment, and tbh I can't justify it either for now). Ended up getting a Sigma 70-200 Sports back then, and honestly, I love this lens
Now I got a Tamron 24-70 G2 to compliment it, and a Canon R6 Mark I to replace my 90D
Thank you for stopping by again, I’m really glad you’re liking the Sigma. They make some amazing lenses. Hope you are liking your new R6 too!
I just found your channel. Thanks for the excellent video. I own Canon and OMDS systems. My current Canon system is built around the EOS R, which I purchased shortly after it was introduced. My OMDS system is built around the aging but lovely Olympus OM-D E-M1. The standout features of the EOS R, in my opinion, are industrial design and build quality. For a much larger sensor, I really don't see all that much advantage in image quality over the older Olympus. The biggest drawback to the Canon, I think, is the lack of third-party lenses. I would be so much happier with the Canon if I could buy Sigma and Tamron optics in the RF Mount. I've never been overly impressed with Canon's dynamic range. Highlight recovery in particular isn't that good really. I was hoping to see a much better performance from the Sony. Honestly, given that it seems a wash in general, If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with Sony simply for the third-party lens support.
That was a very good comparison. I have an S5II with the new Panasonic 14-28mm macro lens and Sigma 105mm DG DN f/2.8 Macro lenses. I also would like to get the Sigma 24-70 in the future. I have had my S5II for just over 2 weeks ago.I have not had much time to test it yet due to wet weather where I live and being unwell lup until a few days ago. I have used Panasonic cameras since I got a GH4 in 2016, before then I had used Canon DSLRs since 2008.
I have used a Panasonic GH4, GH5 and GH6 and love their menu system, ergonomics and video features. I noticed the magenta shift on the S5II. The GH6 colors look better to me as they don't have the magenta issue and skin tones look quite nice. I wish Panasonic would have used those colors but they said they wanted to keep the colors similar to the original S5 and did minor updates to them.
In the video tests, I liked the look of the Canon colors but I have liked Canon colors for a long time. I have seen that V-Log on the S5II is a bit softer, but it has always been a bit softer in other Panasonic cameras and some Panasonic guides I have read (one for the EVA-1 V-log and another for the DVX-200 V-Log L) mentions to bring out the detail you have to do some edge sharpening on the footage in V-Log.
On the S5II I prefer 5.9K 4:2:0 over 4K 4:2:2. Sure its not 4:2:2 but on V-Log at least, the video looks more detailed in 5.9K and a little soft on details in 4K. While it can shoot internally 5.8K 17:9, 5.9K 16:9 and 6K 3:2. it doesn't output via HDMI higher than 4K, unless you buy the firmware upgrade for RAW output which is coming at the end of May. Sean from Panasonic said will output 5.9K/6K RAW to the Atomos Ninja V+
In the higher ISO photo test, it looked like the S5II had a bit of sharpening at 12800 and 25600 but then again that is very high ISO you probably wouldn't be shooting in so not really an issue.
I really like the IBIS on the S5II and have really liked Panasonic's IBIS on the Gh5 and GH6. In Boost I.S, on the S5II hand holding the camera, I can get a shot like I was on a tripod. With the 14-28mm lens, I have noticed the edge wobble at wider angles with the IBIS. On one of the Lumix USA live streams, Sean from Panasonic mentioned the wobble and said something like, that it was because that for years ultra wide angle lenses were often more expensive that standard zoom range lenses and they are not common focal lengths people use most of the time, so the IBIS was always designed to correct lenses of at least 20mm.
Thank you for watching Dave and I hope you are feeling better! My first mirrorless was the GH5 and have always been a fan of Lumix's ergonomics, menus and colours just like you. I personally don't often shoot video wider than 20mm so I actually appreciate Lumix's approach with their IBIS, compared to Canon where you can still see some wobble around 24mm. I've also been loving the 6k out of the camera, as you say, noticeably sharper than the 4k if that's what you're looking for. I hope the weather improves and you get chance to go out and put it through it's paces, I think you'll love it
Great ! Your ISO test just convinced me to buy one or two Panasonic S5ii !!!
as it has the cleanest image even at iso 25600 !..
(and we all face low light whenerve asked to take a photo or Video).
At 5:42 the Sigma lens on the Panasonic is 3 times as sharp as the Canon RF, and Sony's GM lens. Wow.
This is a surprise. !
Looking at the background ceiling when I freeze your ISO test at 5:42 It is so obvious how "'dirty" the ceiling beams look on both the R6/2, and the A7/4 (which I nearly bought because of it's 33 Mpixels.
Panasonic lives again, and boy... what a come back !
.
Even at iso 25600 the S5ii blond hair is sharp! and the model's face is nicely separated from the background
(You have to freeze frame to see it more easily) .
On the Sony and Canon the noise is like a 'separate noise layer' applied at the whole screen, blending her face with the background .. 'Like soup' 🙂
Also, The noise particles at very high ISO are SO FINE on the Lumix that No one can see it on Social media/ phone.
it would look ""Normal"
and even on big 65 inch TV I see this fine noise looking like a mild, deliberate effect. adding to the "'Texture"
Thanks for this practical test.
Canon lens is good at micro-contrast but the sensor fails on Dynamic range as you mentioned, and Canon Lenses are overpriced since the Sigma is sharper !
Same with Sony Lenses, I seen others also complain about Sony's 'Chromatic Aberration' with purpule and blue colors on every fine branch and complex patterns (as you show on them branches),
Plus The Sony has the worst Jello effect when panning both on video or stills work.
They each have some good points, but adding all the points the Panasonic wins by about 30%
I see you noticed R6/2's lower dynamic range against the Panasonic's superior D/R
I will buy the S5ii now (Photo), also buy the -X- version when it comes out in 3 months (Video) work
Such useful info here
I know you went to a lot of trouble Not just to talk, but to do an almost scientific demonstration.. Thanks
** So How is the Auto-Focus on the S5ii with the Sigma? is there any disadvantage in Sigma focus accuracy or Panasonic focus-speed? because the Sony A7/4 seems to front-focus on the nose, not the eye.
Thank you for the great comment! You’re gonna love the Panasonics. I’ve now had a chance to try a few Sigma and LUMIX L mount primes and have generally found them to be both excellent for video. In photo it feels like the LUMIX lenses are a little more confident at grabbing eyes.
Hey man, thanks for the vid.
I'm about to pull the trigger and buy the lumix s5 ii. I'm looking at the sigma 24-70 that you use here. It looks like a great lens, but what is the balance like with the s5ii weight wise? Does it feel a bit front heavy? Cheers mate
I found the Sigma to balance really nicely on the S5 II. I think you'll be very happy with that lens!
@@JamesReader, that's exactly what I wanted to hear! It looks awesome but was worried with the size. Its hard to find anywhere to go and see the lenses in person these days so thanks for getting back to me on that. Keep up the good work James. Cheers mate 😎.
I think the S5 is kicking butt and is one of the best cameras for 2023. Unfortunately I'm poor and already vested in Canon from lenses, batteries to grips, so switching any time soon is out of the question. Awesome video, thanks for taking the time to put this together 💯
Reports are that the S5 works quite well with Canon EF lenses and the sigma EF->L mount adapter.
@@KeithSklower Noice!! I didn't know that, good looking out 👌🙏🏼
for a first time buyer ( and potentially last time purchaser) what would you get? The canon or the sony? I will be vlogging outside as well as in a lowlight garage for fitness videos. Ive been using ipgone 13 but all the videos come out dark or grainy no matter what lighting I use. Thank you for the video, its been a great wealth of information!
The S5II is the best choice out of all three. Only downside is the AF is not up to par with R6II and A7IV but its good enough.
Very Good Video! I would like to buy the Lumix S5iiX - The X is for RAW recording.
