Massive congrats on your latest purchase. Yea I fell in love with this vehicle when I tested it last year. I knew if I wanted a family vehicle, this would be it.
I took my 2020 Limited to 100 this past week because all the spring conditions were perfect (road temp, no wind, etc) and nobody was around- tracks sooooo straight with zero instability. Feels so solid at high speed.
Yea under perfect conditions the 4Runner stability is fine (assuming tire pressure is correct) it’s only on windy days that the 4Runner gets blown around but that’s not just a 4Runner problem, that’s in general a Toyota problems. Most Toyotas don’t do well in the wind.
Wait til gas goes 5 plus a gallon In 2025 Love the 4 runner but since owned another 2012 sold it in the hype 2021 for max dough$$$ Awesome $$$ going to wait and go for the redesign -
I agree. The 4Runner is designed for offroad trails and less so onroad like highways with corners and curves. It’s still a beast nonetheless and you feel safe inside with how high it sits with the great visibility. Fuel economy is awful so this is why it isn’t driven much in cities with bad traffic
I would say highway fuel economy is the biggest con since it only gets 19 but 16 city isn't bad considering most boring 3 row suvs only get 18 anyway but they will typically get 23-25 highway
I had a Crown Vic police package and it did 0-60 in 7.7... It's fast enough. Traded in a 2019 F150 for my 2024 TRD Pro and the 4runner handles much better.
Yea people really don’t understand the everyday handling of the 4Runner is perfectly fine. It corners decent for its size and weight. Engine sounds and feels powerful and when mid throttle, can even feel effortless
Great video 👍 If anyone is looking for speed driving the 4Runner, they are barking at the wrong tree. The 4Runner is for people who enjoys the journey…not just the destination. As for driving on a windy day, the Limited is very stable partly because of the low profile tires compared to the 17” thicker side walls.
We just bought a 2024 Limited That was the first thing I noticed while doing 70 mph on the freeway on a very windy day. Felt like I was wondering all over the road. Dialed down to 65 and felt much better. My 98 LC has a much more stable ride.
I really do not understand the need or desire to have an 8 speed or 10 speed transmission, I obviously must be missing something, I have a 23 f350 with the 10 speed, also had a 2020, unless u're doing nothing but highway driving, always shifting trying to figure what's going on, lugging the motor at low rpm & absolutely unnecessary. Just seen the persons comment about the 8 speed in the jeep. If my new 4 runner had more than a 5 speed, it would be constantly shifting & an absolute dog. Loving the new 24 TRD off road premium 4 runner, yeah a bit old school, but that makes me appreciate it even more!!
I used to have a CVT jeep Cherokee (8 or 9 speed) and the thing shifted all. the. time. Constantly got confused, constantly revving, shifted hard if you accelerated out of a turn... it was obnoxious. Love my 4Runner.
I drove a 4-runner and then I drove a new jeep wrangler Rubicon with the eight speed transmission, and I couldn’t believe how amazing the jeep felt. That eight speed in the Jeep is absolutely glorious!
@@DUNEATV massive congrats my friend! I’m very happy for you and epic spec as well. Wranglers also hold value exceptionally well and I saw for 2024 they even improved the side crash structure, enjoy
It's difficult to compare the two. The RX is much better in terms of fuel efficiency, while the Toyota 4Runner offers more fun with its endless modes. You'll truly enjoy owning a 4Runner. The RX is a good-looking SUV and you'll be happy to own one, but it's a simple SUV that will get you from point A to point B."
Thank you for letting me know this. I am glad it is Toyota...or at least on their site. I just bought a dark blue '24 runner and love it. I think your boards would reall look good. Thanks again.@MeynMotorGroup
I owned 2017 and 2022, my 2017 had over 350k km, and my 2022 was stolen, trying to go a different direction, but I keep looking up Toyota 4runners, the price range and what the 4runner has to offer, sorry, but no SUV is beating the 4runner, might go for my 3rd 4runner
Just Got me a trd Off Road premium In silver with Off Road tires. For me being a huge Supercar guy The simplicity In this 4 runner Trd makes me feel proud like Those Arabs from Dubai in a Land Cruiser, patrol or 4runner 😂
Massive congrats my friend! Yea despite all the amazing cars I've driven, things like the 4Runner just have an organic driving quality that maintains its fun factor for the long run. Very enjoyable on daily commutes but it's hard to explain at the same time.
For me the biggest con is the lack of Automatic Climate Control. I don't want to go with Limited, base SR5 with 4wd is a perfect replacement for my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, but I just can't get over this con.
Yeah, 20 years ago you didn't automatically get 4x4, power windows, power locks, CD player, or AC. Want the higher trim, you gotta step up to it. I went with an SR5Premium in 2020 and ain't looking back. I'm sure your wish may come true with the next version coming in 2025.
Here in Canada the SR5 Premium comes standard with dual zone auto climate control and heated steering wheel and rear cross traffic alert. Also remote starter and bsm etc. Proud owner of a 2023 SR5 Premium in classic silver. ✌️
I got a 24 4Runner Limited and stuck a bike rack on the trailer hitch so that it's even longer. That way I have to pay attention before changing lanes and am less likely to drive like an asshole. I had a Suburban about 20 years ago that i was able to drive like a normal person, but my last two vehicles were smaller, allowing my jerky nature to come out. The 4Runner drives like a truck and makes me drive it that way. Hopefully I'll always drive it like a truck.
I like how you mention the throttle. I've driven cars from 100 hp econoboxes to Tesla Model 3 and other high hp cars I've rented. The fast acceleration is cool but for daily commuting and errands it really doesn't matter that much 0-60 (in my opinion).
I am actually not understanding why is this car more fun to drive compared to rav4 hybrid, Telluride or even hilander. seriously can someone explain what am I missing? I love the timeless exterior of the car, but the interior is horrible and didn't feel anything fun about it. someone pls explain who chose this over other cars if they don't wanna take it off-road.
@@ronaldwarren569 that’s fine I just wish slower traffic would learn how to be considerate and move over for those behind instead of blocking both lanes. I notice this inconsiderate behavior in grocery stores as well, just blocking the whole aisle and not even move after saying excuse me… 🤦♂️
If you really want to have some driving fun in a “tank like” vehicle you should get yourself a Hummer. I understand your point because I’ve had tank like vehicles, in fact I learned to drive all those years ago in a Toyota truck. However as time goes by I can assure you I have plenty of fun going for drives in my CX5 turbo. I guarantee if I raced you from the lights you would quickly become a tiny spot in my rear vision mirror 😂
I remember testing the Hummer that was pretty sweet sadly it's an old GM relic now very hard to find clean ones and will not have any warranty. Back when I had the LC 500 there was a CX-5 turbo that got the jump on me.. toyota and its consumers just hate speed 😂

Hello, which one is better in terms of reliability and daily driver use, 2023 gx460 or 2024 4runners
Just test drove an SR5 Premium for schits n giggles and WOAH did it soak up bumps; I couldn't even notice them
So, it has a rolling feeling or nose dives? Somebody else said they put those premium Bilstein shocks on it and it was better.
