New 4Runner looks great. I would opt for the 4cy non hybrid personally in the off road trim. With that said I prefer the LC for the full time 4x4 while maintaining the other off road goodies.
Niice to see the Trailhunter out on the trails. Look forward to getting one. Tired of all the delays though. Getting on a waiting list this week. Our 2014 4Runner has an OME suspension, fridge, dual batteries, winch and lots of other Overlanding gear. Have done a lot of travels in it
There’s a lot more that goes into an overlanding rig than bump stops. Approach & Departure angles look to be more aggressive on the 4R, coupled with factory rock sliders & A/T rolling stock for better traction. And a compressor. Hopefully at a better price point, too. 4R all day.
Pricing details haven't been released yet. But if you look at Tacoma the TRD Pro version costs $1,000 more than the Trailhunter, I'd expect similar from the 4Runner considering how much content the 4Runner and Tacoma share.
That is the heaviest 2person tent I have ever seen omg lol. it "only" weighs 30 pounds?! Mine weighs 2lbs! and set up that tent has less room than mine!
9:00 remember, turbos do not work on slow speeds (overlanding) unless is an electrical turbo. So is more like 80 less horses. I'm going to be very surprised if that 4cyl will last all that stress
0:28 Why is Toyota using such a tiny tie rod and other underbody parts? Are they made of titanium or something? TNGA-F or not, I don’t care. If Toyota is raising prices while lowering quality, they’ll soon lose their fanbase. I believe they’re focusing on short-term lifespans under the guise of reliability.
As a Chevron shareholder, I like seeing people drive their super fuel inefficient vehicles with all the extra gear on their rooftop to go to the grocery store or gym.
Who would pay $75K for the trailhunder....Toyota is either crazy or greedy or both. This thing 2nd row space is smaller than my 2002 Explorer. But the worst of all is Toyota installing the hybrid batteries in the trunk making super high for shorter people and a useless trunk.
Its deductible if you create content and get a 1099 at the end of the year, You still have to afford the payments but....taxes get you back 30% making it cost $50K after taxes
Horrible styling and unfortunately with Turbo and Hybrid technology is going to be disastrous long term. Toyota!!! Go back to drawing board, at least offer the old naturally aspirated engine 2.7 4cylinder. Simple logical engine that even local technician can work on it. Shame on you Toyota!…you guys have become corrupt like GM, Ford and Stellantis.
Powetrain is going to be a problem for the new 4runner. No one wants a 4 cyl hybrid crap. And Toyota's new powertrain is already crapping out on people. smh
@@Cbarrett94 Based on personal experience and 4runner owners I've talked to so far. They all prefer the old v6 and even older v8 powertrain over the 4 cyl. I’ve waited so long to see the Trailhunter out on the trails! Thank you so much!
It looks just perfect! ⛰
Man!! this is is the first review on Internet for Trailhunter!!
Wait, WHY is that tent so massive?! Holy literal cow!

This is not a review folks. This is marketing.
Yes! But the soyboy millennials need useless gear to flex to build their self esteem, not their retirement accounts
jeeezzz - that tent takes over a lot of real estate.
I wasn't planning to watch the whole video....but it sucked me in! Nice work!
Thanks, hope you found it helpful!
Does it have front suspension bump stops? If not the LC250 is the better option for overlanding.
No frame mounted bump stops.

Your 30lb two-person tent is BOSS! Civil War issue?
beautifully done. Bravo!
Does the 4Runner take Premium gas?
No
Yes it does.
Take or require?
Is the trail hunter more expensive than the TRD Pro?

Here in Canada the trail hunter Tacoma is more than the trd pro
@northerntoyota7584 The Trailhunter in Canada has a moonroof, that is y is more expensive than TRD PRO.
Anyone develop an intake reroute kit for this? That's the only thing holding me back from buying
What’s the payload on that thing?
That things payload is around 1000lbs

I was going to comment that too! My 4 person tent is only 10 pounds and fits in a backpack.
i think he made a mistake by saying 30 lbs. maybe he meant 3 lbs lol if you look at it too, that doesnt look like 30 lbs
How much does the car cost?
Pricing isn’t out yet, but look at the Tacoma for an approximation. Taco TH is $63k starting MSRP

465 foot pounds of torque at 1700 rpm’s. I don’t think that will be a problem
This looks like there is a turret ontop lol.
Is new 4Runner has more driver headroom or same as old model?
Should be, just like sequoia has same headroom as tundra
Looks great, but because of the complicated power train-The 2026 v6 passport will be the next reliable king of off road!
lol! Speak for yourself, it’s a complicated powertrain to you!
$80k.... Pay to play.. the new Toyota slogan.
