  • This time on the AutoEdits Jeep Wrangler video series... I'm freshly home from that epic trip into Mexico to run sections of the Baja 1000 race course with my friend Kris from PowerStop Brakes in his Ford Raptor and wanted to show you a few things to check over on your off road rig AFTER you get back from an amazing trip. Plus, I'll highlight a few of the heroic Jeep upgrades that performed above and beyond the call of duty on that trip!
Here's a link to the AutoEdits Amazon store front...

Oh, here's a link to the MetalCloak bump stops I liked so much...

Kudos for being a very considerate neighbor, and pet owner. Pintos a great looking well cared for dog. Your neighborhood looks heavenly a quiet culdesac butted up against nature is what I call a little slice of heaven here on earth.
I have a little bit of a similar setup. I live in a culdesac in Chino Hills ca. That is butted up agsinst one of the many hills here, hence the name Chino Hills.

Those metal cloaks bump stops are wonderful.
If you ever driven to polihale state park in kauai, hawaii you know how slow most people go without bottoming out.
I'm pretty sure you can search on youtube for polihale drive through
With stock bump stops I only could drive like 5-10miles an hour because I'd bottom out.
With the metalcloak bump stops I can fly through that minefield of pot holes at 20-30mph. But it also could be also thanks to the falcon 3.2 shocks I've installed when I was upgrading my suspension

Another good video! I like the explanation of why Pinto was on a leash. It truly IS better for her to not be running around where she shouldn’t be and possibly get hit or eat something dangerous. People are so irresponsible now, AND you have to head off those folks that don’t understand good pet ownership at all, yet are the first to criticize keeping her on a leash. Huge fan of my MetalCloak lift on the JL, but I don’t have the game changer shocks. The MetalCloak bump stops are a noticeable difference over factory and well within budget compared to airbumps. Definitely +1 on the 38” MileStars, as I daily it as well. I put Falken WildPeak MT on my dodge truck, just need more street miles on them to decide on my feelings about them. They are great off-road, but a bit noisier on road(but in that truck their are so many other noises....which is why I daily the Jeep).

It has 145k and still runs like a champ but I was hoping you could give a me a few things that I should go ahead and do to keep it going as long as possible. Howdy and welcome to the channel! I'm not sure what engine your jeep has but a basic tune up and maintenance is key and if you have larger tires but stock gearing, it will feel sluggish. Get that dialed and you will have a solid base for future upgrades!

I'd love for one of y'all TH-camrs that swear by Patagonias to come out to the East coast, especially the NE and take 'em for a spin....it'll change your whole perception on those tires. They just don't agree with the terrain here. There's at least a dozen sets 4 sale in the Marketplace on FB within 40 miles of me. All with less than 5k miles and nobody can get a buyer because word has already gotten out that they don't do well here. Weird. Watch...now that I've made mention of it you'll notice that everyone that raves about them are based out west & all the Jeep content on TH-cam based on the East Coast, I'll be damned if you spot anyone running Patagonias.
