Jason, I just want to say thank you. Last year when you installed the KM2's, i left a comment asking for your opinion on a quality all terrain tire. You advised me to go with the Ko2's, so that's what I did and I absolutely love them on my rig! (Especially because it's daily driven in Colorado).
I have the same tires on my rig and also really like the way they run and wear. I like the wheel and tire set up you have there, those are really nice looking wheels. It's nice to see your wheels needing so little weight. I have MT Classic III wheels and they needed a lot of weight in comparison, to get them balanced. I developed a very slight thumping sound (consistent only with wheel rotation speed) after running a difficult trail, and I think may be a damaged wheel on an obstacle. I may have to look into those RR wheels for mine. You've got a great set up there!

You should have a weekly show. Great videos, very well done. I really like the Metal Cloak fenders flares. But living in the snow belt I am concerned about rust developing behind all that metal to metal contact on the rear fender. Seems like it would be difficult to keep water (and salt) from wicking between the body and the Metal Cloak armor. Do you have any insight into this issue? Thanks,
I second your opinion for the suspension. I have 4.5 game changer with Ol' EMU shocks and it performs amazing.The flex I get out of it, is beyond everyone's expectations. I will probably upgrade my drive shaft next and I think you need a skid plate from Metalcloak to be worry free. I have MOAB in my bucket list to what pressure did you air down?
Jason this Jeep is awesome! Just bought my 2nd rubicon, a brand new 2017. Been watching your channel and love it! I am trying to decide between 35's and 37's. Definitely going with bfg km2's. I got the 4.10 gears in my rubicon. Do you know what gears you have and is a regear a must with 37's? It is going to be a toy vehicle here shortly, not a daily driver. Live 3.5 hours away from moab, so that is my go to place. Love those wheels too!
Love these jeep videos man !! I myself have a 2012 wrangler unlimited sahara and am planning on lifting it very soon. I am torn on lifts and was set on the AEV 3.5 RS I like the ride on road and will be enough for my off-road needs is there something you would recommend, is the metal cloak kit worth the extra $?
Awesome looking rig man! Have you thought of any axle upgrades? Before I installed my 35's on my JKUR I put C gussets, sleeves, lower control arm skids, a truss, and chromoly axle shafts on my front axle, and a truss, lower control arm / shock skids, and chromoly shafts on the rear as well. I've read and heard too many horror stories about the heavier JKU's bending the inner C's and axle tubes once you put bigger tires, lift, and wheel them.

Looking for some advise. I have a stock 2017 JKU Sahara. Not looking to do any rock crawling at this point but definitely going to do a lot of dirt road/wagon trails as well as every day driving and wonder what mods would be suggested to make this all more comfortable, enjoyable, and capable of handling this amount of wear and tear. Any suggestions appreciated

Another great video, Jason. I'm. It sure if you mentioned this is a previous video, but did you have to trim the stock rock rails to fit the tires? I'm moving up to 35s with a 2.5" lift and I'm trying to figure out if they need a trim.
For brakes, better off just getting good pads and fluid unless you need rotors. Rotors of the same diameter and thickness will not give you any better heat rejection properties unless they were carbon ceramic. Those holes and slots really only help with allowing high pressure gasses from escaping without lifting part of the pad, as well as marginal bite improvement on the pad. The friction material makes up the vast majority of perceived performance increases, and I say perceived due to not knowing the operational ranges the oem and aftermarket pads operate at. If they both had the same temp ceiling, then the only real benefit is less pedal effort. A larger diameter rotor with adapter plates to relocate the caliper would be nice (allows greater leverage over the rotor, and the rotor can take more heat).

To what psi do you fill your tires when off-roading? Or do you just keep a certain psi for all time? I'm curious because I have 35" bfgoodrich and I'm unsure whether I should lower psi for off-roading or keep it at 32 psi
Followed this build throughout, thank you for posting such great videos, I hope to own the same setup very soon. Question about the 6pak shocks, any issues with leaking? I love MC's stuff, but the “word on the streets“ regarding their shocks is that due to the complexity and need for additional seals, they have a tendency to start leaking earlier than expected. Not sure if those reports were one-off’s, perhaps earlier versions that MC has since remedied, or something MC acknowledges as just wear items. Since you have had some time with them as a DD and light wheeling, was curious as to how yours were holding up. Keep up the great vids!
I looked up those 6 pack shocks and the price startled me a bit. I hate the ride quality I get with my Pro Comp 4" setup. Their shocks feel like I'm driving over boulders at high speed..... going 20mph on a bumpy street road! I've been considering between a long arm suspension upgrade, coilovers like RadFlo, or these Metalcloak 6 packs. The price is about the same, minus the install cost. However, I could install those 6 packs myself. What would you recommend? I just want better ride quality. If I went with the Metalcloak shocks, are they compatible with any system? Sorry for the long post, but a couple grand isn't a drop in the bucket for me. ☺️👍
Quick summary question: say I went with the 6 pk MCs.... could I finally drive a dirt road and follow my buddy in his Raptor faster than 30mph without feeling like my JK is gonna fall into pieces? lol. I'm really butthurt that my friend has a Raptor. He takes those trails like it's a city street. I can't stand it!
I highly recommend this kit... best bang for the buck upgrade to the safety and performance of your Jeep. Especially if you have larger tires. I should have that link later today or first thing tomorrow in the description.

When you lubed the front driveshaft it looked like there was some play the front joint, might want to check it out,.

On the 5 tire rotation, I always put the most worn tire (seems like there is always one damn tire with slightly more wear) on the back no matter what.

Slight lift, larger tires, some recovery gear and go drive! You'll learn soon enough what else once you get a few trips.

It can use more power for sure but only for highway driving. Off road it feels great.

I like the roof rack very much. It does take away 1 MPG overall in wind resistance but it's not noisy.

Yea I definitely need the upgrade. Running 37x13.50 with full armor definitely feels like trying to stop a sled in the snow with the stockers

I'm very happy with the 3.5 but if you want to do more aggressive rock crawling... go for more lift. It gets me wherever I want to go.
I have the same setup except that I have the 37" Nitto TrailGrapplers... Have you stopped the tire rub on your control arms?
The backspace on the Rugged Ridge XHD wheels seems to have solved that.
@autoedit What gear ratio are you running ? I want to upgrade to 37s from 35s.
What sort of MPG do you get with your tires and gears? Loved the vid!

I put a G2 4.88:1 ring and pinion front and rear in the Jeep.
