A great band i saw them twice once at Merriweather post pavilion in Maryland , and once at va town point with Paul Taylor , both times they were just excellent just great playing live ..standing ovation from the crowd !
Such talent and just dripping with all of the class in the whole world!!! Thank you so much for posting this video!! Where are all these guys now??? Would love to know!
Russ should bring percussion back to the band. The new Rippingtons Lite just doesn't do well with us old Rippington fans. No disrespect to Dave,he does a hell of a job playing drums with latin percussion fills. Keeps a drummer busy.
The Rippingtons are one of my original, major inspirations for becoming a musician. This was definitely the most tightly night line-up of the Rippingtons in their 20+ year history (no disrespect to the current members). The overall sound has seemed to have lost something since "Topaz" as I'm just not impressed with anything that has come out since :(. Some songs are ok, and I listen to but no song has grabbed my ear like it used to (except "six four") since "Summer Lovers" on their Topaz CD
Man..........one of the best sounding bands of all times past present and future!!!!!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY ( ... and now seven years after your post - and counting... ) my favorite band on Earth
i agree!! wish i could see them live... unfortunately they've never como to portugal!
In my opinion this was the best Rippington lineup ever. Mark Portmann and Steve Reid brought a lost 'jazzy' style that the Ripps have since lost.
Yup.
Congratulations to the Rippingtons on being nominated for a Grammy!
ABSOLUTLY That was the best gathering
of musicians to date.
The Vibe of a sane World.

Finally, I see Russ using that flute synth sound!
Look up Live in L.A.
Tony Morales was the BEST they ever had
Yes, there aren't many decent live videos of Russ / The Rippingtons...thank you for uploading
up till now.. still the best!
This was the better band. And music of the Rippingtons I enjoyed the most.
Thanks for your comment! This is one of my most favorite songs...and I wish they play it again.
