- ELVIS PRESLEY - My Way Reaharsal Hawaii 1973 REACTION.This was an incredible perdormance by The King.I'm not sure if it was a dress rehearsal or a preshow rehearsal,because there was a big crowd at hand.Doesn't matter really,cos this was an incredible show by Elvis.

The REHEARSAL SHOW WAS a legit dress rehearsal for the first concert ever broadcast around the world, and they PACKED THE HOUSE to the GILLS. Noone knew HOW LARGE a venue it would take for Elvis to fail to sell out. Never had an empty seat. I imagine the largest stadium in the World, Narendra Modi Stadium with a capacity of 132,000, would sell out in one day (a few hours if that) if Elvis had performed there. And Elvis donated ALL proceeds to the Kui Lee Cancer Fund for a doctor at the University of Hawaii doing cancer research. Kui Lee was a legendary songwriter who died of cancer at 34. In the TV concert, Elvis sang Kui's most famous tune - 'I'll Remember You', to billions (with a B) of global viewers. Thanks to Elvis everyone got in for free and he raised $75,000 from the gate. The audience was allowed in via their own contributions. Some kids saw the show for only 10 cents. Next day, Elvis took out full-page newspaper ads thanking Hawaii'.
Wonderful reaction. They did let people in to watch the rehearsal and since it was a charity concert, they were asked to donate whatever they wanted, just like the actual concert. They raised $75,000 for the cancer fund.

People (45 years after he's gone) still call Elvis King of Rock'n roll, but he did not like that, he considerd that the only King was God, but I consider him to be the King of Music, but what do you think, is he good enough to be called a Music King?

My grandfather took me to see Elvis 2 years I believe before he passed!!! He gave a beautiful performance and one I would never forget
In the actual performance, rather than just going up to the 5th for that last held note, he actually goes up to the 6th and then resolves it back down to the 5th. It's just mind-blowing and his tone is so good, his mouth is wide open, his jaw is dropped and relaxed and he is holding the mic very far from his mouth, which means he is really projecting with power on that high note. So impressive.
The official concert version he steps it up again, and the last verse is the work of God.
ELVIS WAS AMAZING. HIS GIFTS DIVINELY GIVEN.
