Watching Elvis on stage--which I did only once, when I was very young--was the most impactful moment of my life. It was a true religious experience that took me to another realm. There has never and will never be anyone else to compare to Elvis.
My wife said she saw him in concert in South Bend Indiana in 1976..and it was unforgettable! People were cheering throughout the concert so loud it was hard to hear him sing. Many people stood throughout the concert cheering him on. He always ended the concert by singing " I cant help falling in love with you".As he was singing it and when he finished the crowd was calling out "ELVIS DON'T GO"!!!! over and over as he shook hands and gave out kisses....it was emotional to be in the stadium hearing the thunderous cheering and asking him to stay....
Saw Elvis in ‘73. He was n shape & gorgeous. I’ve been to numerous concerts but none touched the charisma & talent this man had. I was a kid & still found him without any flaws PERIOD. PRETTIEST man I’ve ever seen
Jamel, it's just unique. His style, his voice, his showmanship, his lopsided smile, his good looks, his fame, but sad to say his drugs addiction took him away from us sooner then we expected. He was a choir boy when young, Fame and fortune brought him to ruins, very very sad. No one can help Elvis during that time but only Elvis himself. We all miss him.

I'm glad to see more people discovering Elvis and appreciating his work. This is from the Aloha From Hawaii concert (1973), which was quite a big deal at the time. It was the VERY FIRST live concert by ANYONE via satellite. How appropriate that Elvis had that honor. I remember watching it when I was 12 years old.
You have just witnessed THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER THIS WORLD WILL EVER SEE!! Elvis had it all the looks the moves the voice and charisma like no other. No auto tune no pitch correction just pure perfection. When Elvis sang you did not just hear him you felt him as he touched your very soul. His voice smooth, powerful and perfect, filled with emotion passion dedication Elvis gave his all to what mattered the most to him (HIS FANS)! He could sing the phone book and make it great. When Elvis walked out on stage he owned it! Elvis was like a God among men, a gift to us all from GOD HIMSELF. No one will ever even come close to Elvis he is immortal. Elvis did not die he just went home. Thank you Elvis and Thank Lord God for such a wonderful gift to this world.
I was there. MSG in 1973. Nothing like it. At that stage of his career there were some critics. But when he walked out on stage the place stopped! The King had arrived!
Having seen Elvis in concert four times let me tell you....it’s something you never ever forget. He did one hour, no more, and no encores but he gave 110%.....incredible!!!

This is originally French song titled Comme d"Habitude (As usual), Paul Anka wrote English lyrics and it was performed by Frank Sinatra. For Elvis it was a confession of his life and it kind of had good-bye feeling, that's why it always makes me tear up and gives me chills, especially when he sings "and now the end is near and I must face the final curtain".. so overwhemingly sad knowing he will be gone in little more than 3 years... I was lucky, I got to see him 5 times! Elvis, the hair on the back of my head stood up when came out even before he even started singing! I was 13 when he came to Louisville on Nov.7, 1971. My two sisters & brother in- law got seats the side very close the stage. But the backup singers and speakers on stage blocked Elvis. So Col. We told him we bought tickets to see Elvis and the view of the singers & the tall speakers in the way we wouldn't see much. If u herd stories on him is could be rude. He told us nothing he could. Elvis sings every song like he's lived it, there's just something special about his voice and actually just something special about him! Can't compare him to anyone because he barely moves in his older self and still he could make you cry with his presence and voice

That is why he was the king!! Elvis had such a troubled soul, yet he was just amazing! He died shortly after he sang this song and it was his first time singing it!

This comes from Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite which was a TV special event. If you can you should watch the show in its entirety. I was fortunate to see Elvis Presley live in 74 and it was phenomenal. There was such a wide range of ages in the audience....
It's like I've always said, Elvis had IT in a way very very few did. No matter what he sang, it was spellbinding simply because of the voice and the electricity he brought to a room just by being in it.
Just make sure you pick the right video of it there are 2 1 from the actual concert and 1 from the rehearsal concert. When he sang it in the actual concert he hits a full 3 octave at the end.
@@rickm2765 my way not interesting come on. Its a very powerful song when Elvis sings it. But I know what you mean about What now my love it's a great song to.
There was and always will be only one Elvis "The King" of music, period...Michael Jackson was in another field of music and you cannot compare them, side by side...Elvis is and was and will always be the number one entertainer of all times...
Put anyone in front of a screen & let'em watch Elvis. If they don't feel that "presence"...they either got no pulse or they're bout to kill you. "Presence" is the right word cause you just can't put it into words what Elvis had...but he had & everyone knew it. PEACE!
I wish you would do Elvis singing Fame and Fortune video from the Frank Sinatra special welcoming Elvis home from the Army. And right after that he sang stuck on you. It was fabulous!! It was in 1960. He looked very sharp!

its been said many times before, this man had a presence where you felt him before you seen him , not to sound corny and crazy but there has to be something about elvis presley that no other human had, and you can see n feel it in videos like this, 2ND TO NONE, THE KING!
"Witnessing greatness!" -- just love it! You really hit the nail on the head! Paul Anka produced this song for Sinatra to sing! Elvis, however, made it his own because he sang it with his very own brand of heartfelt humility !( One does not sense this quality when hearing this song sung by others )! This is why Elvis' fans loved him so! Everything he sang had his true self within & each one of his fans recognized his signature! Thanks for another great reaction!
Now this is funny, (from wikipedia): 'Enrolled at L. C. Humes High School, Presley received only a C in music in eighth grade. When his music teacher told him that he had no aptitude for singing, he brought in his guitar the next day and sang a recent hit, "Keep Them Cold Icy Fingers Off Me", in an effort to prove otherwise. A classmate later recalled that the teacher "agreed that Elvis was right when he said that she didn't appreciate his kind of singing".[29]" It just goes to show, don't listen to the haters! Cheers!
Aloha from Hawaii--the first simultaneous live concert via satellite. I remember it like it happened yesterday. I was 12 when the concert aired and had already been in love with Elvis for at least 11 of my 12 yrs on earth. He was scheduled to come to my hometown for a concert in September of 1977--unfortunately, God called him for a command performance in heaven first. It's wonderful that his music still resonates with people of all ages. Thanks so much for carrying the torch on!
He sang from the bottom of his heart, with all his soul!!! Love this man! Incredibly beautiful and talented! A voice from heaven! My favorite song!!R:I:P: Elvis!!!
You speak about his aura and it's what so many people who have known him, that I have interviewed over the years*, have always spoken about. Many have said you could be in a room and suddenly feel him there without even seeing him. (*I'm a writer who has written several articles on Elvis over the years) When even I would still be described as young to be an Elvis fan, considering I was only a child when he died. With my crying profusely on that day for a man I hardly knew anything about and yet I still sensed that the world had lost something great. It was an indescribable feeling and what led me on my quest to actually learn who he was.
I was born & raised in Memphis. Grew up about about a mile from Graceland. We used to hang outside the gates & wait for him to come out. He gave away a lot of Cadillacs. I was in the 5th grade when he died. The city came to a complete standstill. I remember it like it was yesterday & it was 1977. Love love love Elvis 💖💖💖

As in person really was the way to feel that unbelievable , Undeniable volt of charisma that give him that powerful vibration to be weak as a willow or wild as the raging sea to move the world in the way he sang from with- in him--- Projecting it out to us.....And that , Is what Elvis did FOR and TO the world!! He was like a f-5 Tornado once in his grip, You could not help but become another ADORING FAN I don't know everyone that touched the entire world ................. What a tribute that is such a beautiful tribute to Elvis thank you for sharing that with Jamal and your links and if so many Elvis stories of people that actually knew him and some sites share that with him maybe he can start reacting to that too! From one fan to another thank you BN
Wow beautiful
Elvis was bling before bling can into fashion. :-)
This concert seems so prophetic to me. Beautiful, emotional and powerful.
Elvis hits notes that don't even exist oh man sooooo good
If I live to be 100, still can't get over that magic
He was Great, Most generous, kindest, loving man ever, he had a big heart gave millions away, never be another Elvis.
Still talking about him 42 years after his death were learning more and more about him....just phenomenal!!! He sure did do it his way
You said it all:
“Just witnessing greatness “
‘nuff said...
Elvis Presley's version is the best ever! Nobody sings like the King. Two Thumbs Up!
Powerful, Powerful voice...He's so versatile. It's amazing how he's able to change his vocals depending on what song. No one will be able to top that, not then, not even now. Period!!! Miss his music so much...LOVE YOU ALWAYS ELVIS! Thanks for sharing Jamel
Elvis could sing the phone book.he is amazing.ive loved this man all my life.
Long live Elvis day! Everyday is Elvis day in my world and for about a million other people! You are brilliant and should be on the tv. Thanks - you hit the nail right on the head every time! Thank you very much.
So glad a new generation is discovering Elvis! I thought of him as a brother. Thanks!
That is why he was the king!! Elvis had such a troubled soul, yet he was just amazing! He died shortly after he sang this song and it was his first time singing it!
FANTASTIC FANTASTIC
Elvis Presley Forever
Phenomenal! Nobody else can sing it like Elvis! May He Rest In Peace❤️
You are on your Elvis journey, Brother, and I will never request a song. You will find them, including a few hidden nuggets out there, and you will continue doing what you are doing - shining a light for the King! TCB
AmishElvis On the Edge of Reality. Do you remember this song, the dog and Mary Carey.
Out of Sight, man...
@@wynstansmom829 a really good song and a surprisingly good film. A lot of the dancers who appeared in his 68 Comeback Special were in it. I am sure you know his dad Vernon was in it as well.
@@AmishElvis1 On the Edge of Reality and No, The girl with the nameless face did not know this but Thank you.
I will go aGoogling.
[Outro]
Reality, reality, reality, reality
Reality, reality, reality, reality
Malcolm Gladwell has a podcast and in one of his episodes, he discusses why Elvis could not sing the lyrics the way
that they were written for the song, "Old Shep".
Have you heard Dr. Gladwell's podcast? It is a fascinating insight into our Motherless Elvis
or was it someone else?
Wynstan'sMom Awe,. Ugh!!! You had to mention Old Shep! 😢. Saddest Song Ever!!! Thanks,. Wish Jamal would do that song!
Elvis definitely nailed that one and gave “Old Blue Eyes” a run for his money. That was so smooth and easy. Thanks for the reaction!
This comes from Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite which was a TV special event. If you can you should watch the show in its entirety. I was fortunate to see Elvis Presley live in 74 and it was phenomenal. There was such a wide range of ages in the audience....
There’s a reason why he was loved to tears by 100s of millions. He was the king.
Sinatra was a singer,
Elvis was a “soul”
It's like I've always said, Elvis had IT in a way very very few did. No matter what he sang, it was spellbinding simply because of the voice and the electricity he brought to a room just by being in it.
What Now My Love is my favourite song from Aloha From Hawaii 1973. Check it out, next time!
mine too
Just make sure you pick the right video of it there are 2
1 from the actual concert and
1 from the rehearsal concert. When he sang it in the actual concert he hits a full 3 octave at the end.
@@MrCervasio1 I know, both of it are great. He can choose one of two.
Mine too
@@rickm2765 my way not interesting come on. Its a very powerful song when Elvis sings it. But I know what you mean about What now my love it's a great song to.
Love you Jamal for loving Elvis xx
And he did it his way.
I was in the audience in ‘76
and it was awesome!!
He’s was so beautiful!!
Yet another great reaction to our king of rock Elvis presley. This song fits the life of Elvis presley very perfect. Because IT`s how his life was
Elvis was and still is the boss of the music industry this beautiful man will never die out there’s thousands of the younger generation are listening to Elvis this man is something special I hope there’s a heaven and Elvis is looking down on all his fans from a round the world an smiling Elvis sure did do it his way RIP beautiful 💙👑
KING of music 🎶
its been said many times before, this man had a presence where you felt him before you seen him , not to sound corny and crazy but there has to be something about elvis presley that no other human had, and you can see n feel it in videos like this, 2ND TO NONE, THE KING!
Great performance. There's no one like Elvis.
He died at age 42🥲Know one will ever top Elvis❤️My favorite all time!
"Witnessing greatness!" -- just love it! You really hit the nail on the head! Paul Anka produced this song for Sinatra to sing! Elvis, however, made it his own because he sang it with his
very own brand of heartfelt humility !( One does not sense this quality when hearing this song sung by others )!
Thanks so much for carrying the torch on!
yes one of my favorite the voice this man had is amazing!!!
He sang from the bottom of his heart, with all his soul!!! Love this man! Incredibly beautiful and talented! A voice from heaven! My favorite song!!R:I:P: Elvis!!!
He is the King for a reason he could do any genera Rock, Country, Pop, Blues, R&B & Gospel #longliveelvis
Oh yeah I felt that one my friend! Elvis is and always will be the King of Rock. There isn't a song of his I dont like.
No one will ever be better than Elvis was! Truly the best!❤
I just saw a great video called ELVIS...ITS ONLY WORDS....you are going to REALLY ENJOY THIS..AMAZING. ..AGAIN.
Some say this is Sinatra's song but this song is so much more Elvis in every way. He lived and breathed this song which came out in every note.
Thank you so much for sharing god bless. the 👑of music could sing anything and make it his own love your.reaction it comes from.heart 🙏 amen.
The strength of his voice was simply amazing!
For God so loved the world he gave us ELVIS!
Elvis Presley had a soft compassionate a forgiving heart.
Still chilling after all these years! Lovely reaction, Jamel. : o )
This was a grandads favorite song and he just passed away over this summer. This brings back so many memories. Love this vid.
My condolences to you man
Stop pausing we switch off. 👎🏻
@@rangeymike he has to pause it.
🙏🏾
Gotta Follow the rules mike🤷🏾♂️
It's been 43 years and still missed ,
admired and loved that says it all.
NO OTHER ARTIST HAS EVER COME CLOSE OR EVER WILL!
RIP ELVIS
I was born & raised in Memphis. Grew up about about a mile from Graceland. We used to hang outside the gates & wait for him to come out. He gave away a lot of Cadillacs. I was in the 5th grade when he died. The city came to a complete standstill. I remember it like it was yesterday & it was 1977. Love love love Elvis 💖💖💖
