    These are SOO good!! The texture is silky like custard, so incredibly delicious. I just finished making 28 of them for meal prep and this isn't my first time making them. I recently found a sous vide egg mold(with a lid) from Aldi and so I use that in a pot of boiling water for 12 minutes and they come out perfect every time. Thank you for the great recipe!

      Everyone needs ketosis! Our bodies all go through it at night if we eat at normal hours and not graze overnight.

    • @Ena48145
      @Ena48145 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@metaorange302 No we don't. I did it for over a year and it's not sustainable. You are spreading harmful lies. It's not good for you. Our bodies need carbohydrates, not processed cheese and fats. Our hearts certainly don't need it either. It's fine to do it now and then but long term it's dangerous. And no, "grazing" overnight and not snacking is completely different from being keto or not. Also, the whole eating at night thing is a myth

      @@metaorange302 A daily ketogenic diet is NOT safe for kids unless it’s necessary for medical reasons like diabetes or epilepsy.

    That non-stick spray is probably full of GMO's (depending on the brand). If you're not sure of the brand, I would suggest a kitchen oil sprayer that lets you use your own oil or a stoneware muffin pan. Those things are naturally non-stick and have been used for centuries! And they're pretty.

    Thank you! I was searching for some egg-bite recipes on TH-cam and I liked your the best. Tried it this morning and it was great! I did switch the cottage cheese for ricotta since I'm not a fan of cottage cheese and then tried different flavor combos in each muffin cup to see which worked best. (Had bacon and cheese in one, spinach and peppers in another, scallions and spinach etc) I don't like cooking really but this was easy and I can see myself making these on a Sunday to prep for the week. I can eat these for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Quick, easy and inexpensive! Thank you again! Subscribed!

    You don't need a sous vide machine. You can do these in the small half cup mason jars covered in a pot of 170 Fahrenheit water for one hour. Try it and see if you like the texture better with the slower/lower cook time. A candy thermometer works well to monitor the temp. On my electric range setting the knob to 3.5 keeps the water at 170 after it's gotten it up to temp.

    I made these today only I didn't have gruyere or swiss cheese so I used what I had which was garlic cheese curds. I aso used a mini muffin pan instead of a regular muffin pan (I also doubled the recipe). Other than slightly overcooking them (I didn't account for the quicker cooking time in the mini muffin pan) they were really good. Was great meal prep to take to work during the week.

    I just made these and the taste was a 10. I had to force myself to stop at 2! I had cheddar so that’s what I used. Baked at 300 for 30 minutes and they were perfectly cooked. I didn’t get the smooth custard like consistency. I’m going to try and blend it in a different blender to see if that’s the culprit, regardless, this was a great recipe and I’m going to say better than CHARbucks

    I’m making these right now : ) let’s see what happens- I’ll report back.
    I’m back - and I have to say ! This worked better than I thought ! They don’t taste exactly like the Starbucks ones (prob because they add sugar and other weird Ingredients) but these are great because you know exactly what you are eating ! I used turkey sausage instead of bacon and only used one oz of gruyere ... really yummy ! And curves the craving of the Starbucks ones !! Great job on this recipe !

    Thanks for the video. I think you should have put some sort of other cheese in them so it would be melty and gooey in the middle like the ones at starbucks.

    Awesome recipe. They're an instant favorite for a quick breakfast on the go. They taste just like the Starbucks Egg Bites, but I feel so much better knowing exactly what are in them. Thanks for doing the hard work and figuring this recipe out.

    Laura Vitale suggested this video, defo giving it a try tomorrow, thx 🤗
    Friendly FYI the letter “D” isn’t silent in sous vide (pronounced veeD) I know most Americans pronounce it that way, but it just sound like you’re saying “sous vie” which means under life 😅😂

    if you want a layer of bacon on the top, just sprinkle it in the bottom of the muffin tin before you put in the eggs!! I work at Starbucks and these things get me through my morning shifts (I have a hard time eating when I first wake up and it’s already hard enough to wake up for a 6am shift) but unfortunately, us employees don’t get food for free. I can’t wait to not have to spend my hard earned money on Starbucks food anymore!
