Love love love these! We make them ahead for our camping trips and while on the road we all eat them cold right out of a zip lock. Awesome, thank you!
That's a great idea! Thrilled you enjoyed!
I felt kinda silly having to look up how to make these (just got my egg bite molds today), but thank goodness you made it so easy. My daughter will be very pleasantly surprised at breakfast tomorrow morning. New subbber! And a big Hello from Alaska.
Don't feel silly! Everyone needs a starting point and happy this recipe helpd you out.
I’ll start my day with a hashbrown and an egg bite. They’re both great and last me a long time. I like to make mine with feta cheese and brocoli crowns (no stems). Thanks for the video. Have a great day!
LOVE feta and broccoli together.
Kristen, you eating the whole egg bite in one go made me want to make this recipe 😂 it really is super delicious and very creamy. Thank you muchly ❤
I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed as well!
My idea of making "extra bacon" is an extra package........LOL I laughed so hard when she put 2 slices extra on the rack for blt's or just eating......there will be some disappointed family members
HA! Well, with it costing so much, I guess I have been more frugal.
@@AMindFullMom Please know one as JUST teasing. And yes, costs are going up. LOL
@@littlesquirrel5007 I could tell it was in good humor :)
Omg! I just tried these and they are amazing, I didn’t have cottage cheese so used Greek yogurt instead, soooo good! Thank you 🤤🤤
You are so welcome!
I’m so thankful for you! You have helped me in my kitchen with my instant pot & making healthy meals for my family! I’m adding this one to my keto list!
YAY! I love hearing I am helping you enjoy your Instant Pot! Enjoy the egg bites!
Just discovered your channel today and I really appreciate the attention to detail you give, as well as the excellent recipes. Subbed!
Thanks and welcome
Followed instructions to the T. Got the results you demonstrated. Very versatile when it comes to adding spinach, ham, bacon, sautéed vegetables. Can't wait to keep making them. Big thumbs up 👍
Great to hear!
I found this video the other day and made them today! I doubled the eggs and shredded cheese to make a larger batch but forgot to double the cottage cheese, lol. They are still delicious; thank you so much!
So happy to hear they still turned out delicious!
Just the tutorial I needed! Just received a large Instant Pot and I love egg bites. I also have a pan with rack which I've never used - baked bacon comin' up!
Glad it was helpful!
I hadn't made egg bites in my Instant Pot for a while so of course I consulted your recipe. I didn't have any cottage cheese on hand so I substituted sour cream and they came out great.
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing your substitution.
You give perfect timings of instant pot for a perfect recipe..thank you for this video and other hard boiled egg video..
My pleasure 😊
Bryan from Canada, love this! Going to be using some feta chese with sour cream, also ricotta on hard . Use what you have, added a bit of dijion mustard also. Thankyou again Kristen. Have a great week!
Sounds delish
These were a total success! I substituted the cottage cheese for sour cream, and they came out wonderful. Thank you so much for the video! 👍🏽👍🏽
You are so welcome!
Great idea! Thank you. 😊
thank you! I have all the ingredients and will make them this afternoon. I love my instant pots.
Hope you enjoy
Thank you for sharing this recipe!!! I made them today and they were wonderful! I also didn’t have cottage cheese on hand so I used ricotta cheese and it seemed to your out almost as nice looking as yours :)
Wonderful!
I really wanted to make these because I love them but they're so expensive at Starbucks. I'm blind and the sites I checked out had images of the ingredients and weren't accessible. So I dug through YT and found a few videos I saved including this one. Got my egg molds a month or so ago. Went back to this for the time etc. Tried making them before in the oven with a muffin pan, but they just weren't the same. They're cooking in my instantpot now. Thanks!
I am so happy you were able to follow my recipe. I try hard to make my site accessible. Here is the recipe on my site: amindfullmom.com/instant-pot-egg-bites/
Thanks as always Kristen! I have had an egg mold for probably close to a year and I have never used it because I wasn't 100% sure how but now I do! I detest cottage cheese so I'm going to experiment to see what I can use instead. My egg bites may not be as creamy but I will be happier without the cottage cheese! 😆
Well I would suggest using ricotta cheese if you can do that. I think that would be a good sub. Enjoy!
Try marscapone instead
@@brandih4882 A few have commented that it separates in the egg bites. But I haven't personally tried using it. let us know if you have!
You can use ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese
@@brandih4882 Isn't marscarpone sweet?? Wouldn't want something sweet with eggs.
I’m definitely going to make these! Love your channel. Keep it going!
Hope you enjoy and thank you
Thank you so much! I used diced ham that I fried up and then cooled it down so it wouldn't cook the egg before the egg could cook in the instant pot. Super excited to try these. There cooking right now.
I hope you love it!
@@AMindFullMom I messed up, although I was using the same silicone egg mold you have, that came with my instant pot, it did stick really badly so when I turned it upside down and tried to get them out they just crumbled out and I also only did four eggs even though I meant do five. I only found for eggshells when I cleaned up but now I have a pile of scrambled eggs with ham waiting for breakfast. I'll try again another day and use spray. 😊
@@karmaskeys Oh no!!! Well, sometimes making mistakes is the best way to learn to never forget in the future!
Love those egg bits, thanks for your detailed instructions for a beginner 😀

Just ordered my egg bite molds from Amazon! Can’t wait to make these! Thank you!

Came back to watch your video again as I was making my own. They are in the Instant Pot now! I can't wait to try them. Thanks as always.

How much fun. I will try this when my son and his wife come for Christmas. 😃
I hope you all enjoy and Merry Christmas!
My favorite egg bites recipe! TY!
So glad you love them!
Ive referenced this video several times - excellent instruction.
Thank you so much!
Hello from accross the world - Sri Lanka. Love you egg bite recipe. Gonna make it soon
Thank you so much! Enjoy the egg bites!
Thank you for this awesome recipe! Does it matter if the "keep warm" setting is on during the natural pressure release for the 10 minutes? I am pretty new to the Instant Pot.
Makes no difference 😊
@@AMindFullMom Thank you!! I'm so excited to make these at home.
humm vou fazer aqui ! obrigado ótima ideia
Omg I love your Chanel! Loved the recipe! I have a 3qt Instant Pot. I think 9 minutes might have overcooked my bites. Would you recommend less time. Only 4 fit at a time in a silicone mold.
Did you use less water in the bottom of the inner pot? I would still use 1 cup. If you did, try 1 minute less time.
Looks like another terrific recipe to try! Thank you!
Hope you enjoy
I didn't know these things existed (silicone accessories for the Instant Pot as well as egg bites). I will be making these soon.
I hope you enjoy them!
That looks crazy delicious! I went to your link and found (and added to my wishlist) the egg bite molds. I'm surprised you didn't use the lids that apparently come with them, is there a reason? Or did yours just not come with lids?
Hi there! Some molds do not come with heat safe lids, and so I didn't want to show using them :)
I was looking forward to seeing what these look like on the inside. Are they solid in the center or runny?
Solid and puffy :)
These look delish!! Wondering how well they freeze? Was wanting to make some batches ready to go in the freezer… 💁🏼♀️
Great question! They can technically be frozen for up to 3 months, but they do not retain the same texture once defrosted, so this is not something I recommend.
@@AMindFullMom Ah…true… Thank you!
I’m so excited to try this with my instant pot. I want to do with just the egg whites. And I would like to add the red pepper, spinach and cheese.. do I blend the red pepper and spinach in the whole mixture? Or do I put spinach and pepper in mold and pour egg mixture over?
Hi Stacie! You would want to put the spinach and pepper in the mold and then pour the egg mixture over it. Enjoy!
Made these today and they turned out great!
Fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
Hi thank you so much for your recipes😊 I was wondering why some recipes say use the steam button instead of the Pressure Cook button....Today is the first day I've cooked egg bites and the recipe said to use the steam button for 8 minutes...didn't know if you have used either button for egg bites and is there a difference in the doneness and taste?
Hey there! All the buttons are just fancy presets, so I like to keep it simple and control the time myself.
So how many egg bites would be a regular breakfast severing?
3 egg bites would be a typical serving.
I saw someone do a version of these in a ban marie in the oven, i.e. in a 12 count cup cake tin in a pan of water. But I have an Instant Pot. I used 1/4 cup of cottage cheese and 1/4 of grated swiss to two eggs and some crumbled sausage and finely chopped green onions from my garden (a bit tough so I did saute' first). I just put all that into two small glass pyrex custard dishes and pressure steamed to 6 minutes and let release, well hours, the second time. Might have popped it out too soon the first: it tasted a little drier the first time. Anyway they are yummy, almost like quiche without the crust and there are LOTS of substitutes for those little silicone egg bites trays. I didn't bother popping out, we just ate right out of the glass dishes and it was just enough food that way. I don't think it is sous vide at pressure cooking temps, but the Instant Pot works well. I like it.
Thanks for sharing!
cant wait to try this!!!
Enjoy!
I’m really enjoying your channel! I haven’t purchased my Insta pot yet but it’s on the horizon.
Can you do something other than aluminum foil? It’s a pet thing of mine not to use aluminum foil while cooking.
Thanks so much for all you do, I’ve heard so much
I am so happy to hear you are learning from my videos!!! And there are egg molds that come with lids that are heat safe.
Parchment paper
This recipe is a keeper! No more paying high price at you-know-where. 😉
So happy to hear you enjoy!
damn she INHALED that egg bite lol
It is so good!
Thank you! Ready to save so much money!
You really do!
I've made these a few time now, thanks for the video, I'm wondering if instead of tinfoil, can I use the silicone lids that came with my molds? I'm sure it would be fine but need confirmation from the pro.
Not every mold's lid is safe to be used for pressure cooking, hence why I suggest foil. If you know your lid is heat safe and designed for pressure cooking, it is fine to use the lid in place of foil.
@@AMindFullMom thanks, I'll reach out to the manufacturer.
@@AMindFullMom OK my lids are good, says right in the description the molds and lids are safe up to 425 degrees. I feel kinda silly now. 😀
@@JCIK2311 Don't feel silly! It was a great question :) But you are good to go!
OMG I can’t believe you popped that bite in your mouth like that lol and whoosh! It was gone! I’m so going to try this recipe in my instapot. I have been intimidated to take it out of the box. I want to make yogurt:)
I have confidence in you! This recipe is perfect for trying out your instant pot and building confidence. But please reach out any time if you have questions.
Ok silicone eb molds w/ silicone lids arrived. Do I still have to use tinfoil instead of/ in addition to the food safe silicone lids? My guess is you'll say just try it!🤣
Hey! So it depends on the brand. It should state if the lids are heat safe. If they are, use them. If not, foil is the safe way to go.
Great job!
Thanks!
Does anybody have good recommendations for reheating these guys? 😊
I highly suggest reheating these egg bites on 50% power in the microwave for 60-90 seconds. The lower heat will help keep the delicate texture of the egg bites intact.
I followed your link for the egg molds to Amazon and tried your recipe twice I had to use both trays. They didn't come out the way it should. FYI- Meaning these trays you recommended are too small. I measured the total liquid amount it came out to about 1 cup capacity. The diameter of these is a little over 6 1/4 inches. I found another mold that is under 8 inches wide. How big is your molds?😅
I linked to the egg bite mold I personally own and tested this recipe with. So it should be perfect for this recipe. Fill them up 3/4 of the way, even if you have leftover eggs (it may be your fillings took up more space) and cook as directed. I hope that helps!
Can I use the silicone cover that came with the egg bites mold you recommended instead of aluminum foil? If so will it change the timing?
Hey there, as your lids are marked heat safe, you cannuse them with no change. Some are not heat safe, hence why I suggest foil to be safe.
@@AMindFullMom I went and bought and used the Gokcem Amazon silicone egg cups in my IP that you recommended. No problem. Didn't melt. Phew! I didn't like the results of my egg bits though. I processed them in my magic bullet and was disappointed with those results ☹️.
@@tatteredangel2021 I am sorry! That may have overprocessed the eggs. I would try blending on low and be sure to allow for natural pressure release.
So I made the egg white bites they were awesome! I have to say I bought the egg molds that were recommended but they are so tiny. It’s a bit deceiving from the pics.. I would definitely make in a mason jar to get a quality size egg bite.. the molds are cute but not practical.. am I missing something that was the only size they offered?
Hi Stacie! This recipe is a copycat version of Starbucks--which are bite-sized. So while you may be able to make larger bites, you would have to experiment with timing.
I found my egg mold at a garage sale for $1! Making this today.
What a deal! Enjoy!
Do these do well in the freezer?
Unfortunately, no. They can be frozen, but the texture is not the same once defrosted.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Just followed your link got silicone eb molds, can I use the included covers instead of tinfoil?
Hey! SO happy to have you here! Whether you can use the lids on the egg molds vary by brand--they should state if they are heat safe of not. If they don't, I wouldn't risk it.
I have a FAGOR rather than the insta pot brand so I don’t have the same pre-set settings. Do you know if I’m putting this on a timed pressure cook what would the duration be?
Hi Tamara! You would use timed pressure cook and set for 9 minutes as the recipes suggets :) Your timed pressure works as manual or pressure cook button do.
@@AMindFullMom ah, makes sense, you didn't say the word minutes so it came off as a proprietary setting for an instapot
HELP!
I tried making these twice already.
and they keep over flowing.
The first burst thru the foil and they came out looking weird.
The second I put the kid on and it busted through that.
What am I doing wrong????
Side note I am using the ultimate lid instant pot.
Help please!
Hey there, try to not fill your mold more than 2/3 rd of the way full and be sure to use a natural pressure release. If that is what you did, fill 1/2.
Soo awesome
Glad you agree!
I would like to use egg whites instead of whole egg is this possible? Would I do anything different? What is the measurement for egg whites? Thank u
Instead of using 4 whole eggs, you can use 8 egg whites. Enjoy!
Should the eggs be room temp or does it not matter?
For this recipe, it does not matter!
Ilovetour presentation and enthusiasm.
Thank you kindly!
Important to note the size of the instapot...i prepared all the ingredients and had my egg mixture ready in the molds as soon as I went to transfer it in my instapot the molds did not fit..I have the 3 quart size instapot but since size was not mentioned I thought any size would work.
I am sorry I did not make that clear in the video, it is clear in my recipe post, but that was my bad. I am sorry for that :(
How can these be reheated with quality loss?
I would suggest heating at 50% power for 30 seconds in the microwave.
@@AMindFullMom thank you for your reply.
Where I can find the recipe for air fyer chicken breast
amindfullmom.com/air-fryer-chicken-breast/
What can I use instead of a blender to blend the mixture?
Can always use a quisk or go crazy with a fork, but a lot of work. Get an immersion blendet, can also nake your own mayonnaise. Take xare.
You could use a food processor if you don't have a blender. While you can just whisk the eggs with cottage cheese, the results won't be the same as if blended.
Ok gotta get me an instant pot!
You will LOVE it!
So you never press vent before opening after waiting 10 min?
Figured it our! Lol!
@@cjh7645 Oh good! Please don't ever hesitate to reach out with questions. I usually respond faster, but in the process of a big move and getting my son settled at college :)
No worries! Awe that's great! I hope he has a blessed school year! 🙏
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong I have tried 3 times and my eggs come out looking like inflated balloons what am I doing wrong ? I have the smaller molds could that be why? Idk help 😭😭
That is likely why. I would try to reduce the cooking time by 2 minutes.
Thanks
Interesting I’ve never heard of them
They are so good!
I saw another video they used sausage instead & cream cheese vs cottage
Sausage would be a great addition. Cream cheese is delicious, but makes these a bit denser.
You know, for recipes, short form media is actually beneficial. I never realized just how much added verbiage a lot of cooking TH-camrs throw in since looking for this recipe.
I am sorry you found this to be long--I try to stay to the point but add helpful knowledge. I have a jump to recipe button on all my posts on my site so you can skip right to that if you don't want to hear any tips.
Thumbs up and subscribed!
I hate ricotta cheese, can’t I use something else instead?
These are made with cottage cheese. Do you have that as well? Greek yogurt would work but not be as fluffy.
Do you have to use a blender - don’t have a good one?!
No, but the texture won't be as smooth.
Has anyone substituted the cottage cheese for cream cheese?
Hi Angela! I have had others share with me they have used cream cheese with success. I have tried it myself and it works, but the egg bites are not as light and fluffy.
Oh my goodness I've been looking for an Sbux "copycat" hack for weeks now. THANK YOU for this! Trying it tonight.
Happy to help. Enjoy
I Like how you speak
Thank you!
Mine seized anyway
I am sorry that happened even with a full natural pressure release. Maybe fill the molds a bit less next time.
I accidentally bought sour cream… ugh 😩
Well, you can give it a try. It won't be BAD, just not the perfect texture ;)
