I've been wanting to comment on all those new houses for awhile... The "new houses" Commander Lawrence starts showing to other commanders is actually a fully functional town located on an island off the east coast of "Gilead" . He wanted to create a version of Gilead that would be more acceptable to the rest of the world, mostly to improve Gilead's ability to trade with the rest of the world. No hangings, no colonies, no rings in women's mouths, etc.. As soon as I found out about this island, I realized that the writers found a way to deal with something that's been bothering me for a few years. I personally need Season 6 to end with a flash forward showing the United States fully restored. The idea of the show ending with Gilead still in place would haunt me. But I also feel that freedom of religion is one of the most important parts of a truly free United States, so what would happen to the people who want to keep being part of a gentler, more humane version of "The Sons of Jacob"? Many, many people would want that religion to be outlawed (because it was used to overthrow the U.S. government, and because it will always be linked with the bloody horror of Gilead), but to be a truly free country outlawing it isn't really an option. I think that island will be the answer to that problem. Anyone who wants to continue to be a member of the sons of Jacob will have that island to go to. Of course there are things they would have to change - no more women forced to be Handmaid's, no more hangings, or being sent to the colonies, etc.. That's my theory, for whatever it's worth.
They were scheduled to start filming this month, but Yvonne (Serena actress) just gave birth like 2 days ago, so might still be a bit of a wait to film. So I wouldn’t have my hopes too high for a release this year, but who knows! Fingers crossed
@@craigbeairsto9036 wow really that sux I mean not that Serena… aka Yvonne had her baby but damn this shit should of been out last year all I gotta say is that it better be 1 amazing ass last season like or better then the 1st season that one was the best
@@lolakally5545 first of all thank you for responding. I appreciate it and that really sucks because that show is my favorite show ever but I can’t lie it started. I feel like a jump the shark when she went fucking Canada that’s when I feel like it did that what do u think?
@@stephess6618You're very welcome ! I agree the show feels different since June got to Canada, but it was predictable since this is HER tale and the atmosphere of the show would drastically changes once the main character was no longer within this dictatorial regime. This is why June no longer has an inner-monologue. The show also has to go along with The Testaments, they're setting a lot up for the spin-off which is why there has been a change of atmosphere, which I admit was relieving for me because we no longer have to feel the oppression with June. I'm no fool though, one of the reason the show keep going is money but the producers and actors continue to do a wonderful job and I love how they're expanding the universe. Last season i gonna be awesome !
The narrator's pleasant voice tinged with a slight British accent can't overcome his jarring pronunciation of commonly used words: “continuity” @ 3:06 = con-tin-OOH-ity (not con-TIN-you-itty) “occurrence” @ 5:24 = oh-CUR-rinse (not AWK-er-rinse) “ambiguity” @5:56 = am-bi-GUE-ity (not am-BIG-you-utty) If this is an example of AI, human narrators don't need to be concerned for their jobs.
sounds like you are not tolerant of other countries pronunciations of the same word - differences and variables on the stress of annunciation. Same word can sound totally different in other countries - Travel or get out more. Always prudent to accept that we simply cannot control what people say, do, or think. Accept people how they are without feeling the need to correct them. After all, how many of us are perfect?

Just wait till Serena Joy and Ofred realise where the train is going. LOL. Gilead hasn't built all those new houses for no reason...

Have they even started on the last season yet? And if so will we see it this year??

From what I've gathered so far, they shall start filming this year -- likely this summer and we will see it in early-2025 mid-2025...
