I was listening to the audio commentary for Evangelion. The cast for that also love to goof around since it offsets the serious subject matter of the show. The SVU cast seem to be the same way. Makes complete sense. :)
I've just started watching this and on season 3. I've been through every emotion goin. Hard to watch at times but I'm so glued and with June on this whole journey.
I absolutely looooooooooove this show. All the actors are brilliant, but Elizabeth Moss is totally the best actress in the show. When she does her angry, I want to kill you look, I can feel her emotions deep inside and feel angry with her. She brings out such emotions to the role. No one on the planet could do it better. I also loved her in the invisible man. Such a brilliant movie. I just love it when she gets her own back. She brings her kick ass attitude to the table and those that cross her, better start running. She’s one of my favourite actors.

I say this to everyone who will listen. Aunt Lydia is the most evil character in film history. I'm not crazy and I don't scream at the TV but I was bonkers mad at how evil Aunt Lydia was. I would've easily murdered Aunt Lydia if I could and I wouldn't have felt guilty about it. Emily and June were idiots for not taking out Lydia when they could. In fact, this weakness in the screenplay made me lose respect for the show. C'mon guys, this is Gilead. June should've been killed too, if not in the first season, then the second. This show should've taken a cue from Game of Thrones but June kept surviving like a Marvel comic book hero. This is some deep sh*t you all are in and no one is safe. So what, you took out Commander Waterford. Well, put on your big boy pants. Weak! With that said, I bow to Ann Dowd. Your acting is superlative. I mean, my God you're good. Blessed be the fruit, everyone. 😘
Movies are usually the opposite when it comes to politics or religion but spot on with real concepts affecting our lives , more so than ever , but they twist it all to blame the right , it's laughable if it were not so foreboding of our doom . In reality there is no left or right , it's a man made concept to divide and cause friction to the degree that it starts the wars they need to hide the fact that's the banks ars crashing the economy is crashing
Ironic thats your takeaway, seeing as the people attacking refugees and slapping Canada/Gilead flag mashups on their bumpers in the show were very obviously meant to be convoy analogues. Those are the types to just do whatever the Americans are doing and claim its better that way. So many US, Trump, and even Confederate flags at those rallies. I don't even like Trudeau, but I think you have Canada backwards

Ann Dowd first scared me in Freaks And Geeks when she played Kim’s psycho mother. She should have won an Emmy for that dinner scene.
