How did you gain size for Olympic lifting
Who are the other people in the video? Do you mind putting a link to them in the description please?
By the sound Clarence makes during his squats sets, we can confirm now that he is indeed an hydraulic press.
I picked the right time to take a bathroom break at work... I hope nobody asks why I'm coming back sweaty😫
That's not funny that's just weird
@o-neil it's actually very funny lol
i'm asking
310 K is 37 c if you were wondering
Total annihilation of the US 😂😂😂😂
this was very funny
Squatting around hip pain is all too familiar to me. Like Clarence, toes out, bent over feels better on the hips.
I just got bfr bands that I wore around my legs on the adductor tendon to squat and they helped me very much, I did all the sets wearing them instead of removing them after warming up like I originally planned to
Squat university is the channel to help you 😉
You might have poor ankle mobility in one or both ankles (not getting knees over your toes enough) if you have to bend over far at the hips when squatting
Hey Ivan what’s up, I just got around to watching this video haha it’s good
Awesome channel Ivan. Humble, hardworking family man, something we can all aspire to be.
54 minutes of clarence is not enough, that's why I joined the patreon.
Get a life
thanks for putting me on
Bros a paid advert
What a great video on Clarence, squat, steroids, drugs, Toshiki, anti-doping, doping, Lu Xiao Jun, Lasha, Chinese weightlifting, China, and crossfit doping.
Hahaha 🤣
The toshiki workout thing is so funny cuz Eoin is making a ton of progress on it despite being objectively a shit program. I wouldn't be surprised if toshiki made it up on the spot just to mess with them.
I think Eoin is just overly analytical and stubborn like Mark Rippetoe.
I had the same thing, I was doing a great program, results stopped coming. So I started messing around with my own, worse, program and the gains starting coming, and I could only chalk it up to change of stimulus, using different muscle groups than the previous program were (hip focused squats Vs quad focused) and getting actual rest and recovery while I started a new program at a much easier level.
Same. Last Dec, I suddenly got knee pain after cycling to eatery place for lunch. I lost all squat strength because of it. I took a month off, and then let my intrusive thought decide to try Super Squats (1 set of 20 reps a day) everyday like 5-6 times a week. From 60kg to 100kg in a month. It was most intense training I have ever had in my life. But my knee pain and hip issue disappeared after one month and I returned to my old PR easily.
Of course it would go up... especially for an experienced squatter who can handle that volume at least for the short term. If you did something like that for years, then yes that's in all likelihood bad for just about everyone - but for the same reason you don't max out every day yet you do have periods where you max or near max often, it is good - In Toshiki's case he was essentially maxing out volume for a couple months just to hit 321. It's similar to what Clarence says at 17:21, high risk high reward.
Sounds like peaking, no? @@trtnec
15:53 I like the way they pause every time someone lifts a barbell. Very respectfully.
I lost it at the Kelvin conversion for Americans 🤣
Right,😂😂😂😂, that was hilarious
We need a 3 hour documentary on each character in this game
"Theres a little girl right behind you"
"I know"
Precedes to backflip anyway 😂
Do keep in mind (Toshiki didn't mention this) that he titrated up the intensity as the weeks went by if I remember correctly, he started relatively lighter and went up 20kg every week and at some point stopped doing the 3x10 and only did 5x5
TITRATED? Has Derek using this in his videos caused meatheads all over the world to pick up this poor word up and using it wrongly? You do not "titrate up" but "increase" intensity.
How is this so much more entertaining then most fitness videos... I don't even do oly lifting but I love watching these guys
Fitness and bodybuilding sucks
a 55 minute Clarence video, oh my ❤
The blur on Eoin's chest at 3:50
I nearly choked on my lunch laughing at that, did him dirty lol.
great video! love how you encourage and capture all the conversation
Got me with the Kelvin joke 😂
Great to see how far you've come! I hope there are more travel vlogs & training in the future. Love the vids with Gabriel and these Japan videos too
You guys seem to be really enjoying yourselves which was fantastic. Great video!!!
Yay new upload🎉 love the training vlogs, I might actually go back to barbell squats again becuase of this.😅
Nothing like an hour long Clarence video while I cycle.
Your cycle is suspicious...
Didn’t realized I watched a hour long video.
I don’t know what it is but the pace of the videos, the talking, everything is just so smooth that it’s really a chill ride looking at your videos
Dude, grats on the Barbell Apparel sponsorship!
"for the americans watching" proceeds to say in kelvin
Every Clarence0 upload is a huge event for me
Beautiful video!
8:20 Dude the nostalgia, I loved this show growing up. It used to play here in the US in the morning on weekends. Ultimate muscle fighting foodons and shaman king were my favorites. THE FOX BOX ROCKS!
I enjoyed the advertisement. Great editing 🙌
Great work!
Thank you for translating Celsius to Kelvin. Very helpful.
Perrrrfect!!!! Respect!!!!
Thank you for the Kelvin temperature measurements!
Its crazy that clarence uploaded a 54 minute video. Thank you Harry Squatter.
The 🐐🐐🐐 Clarence back again
backflipping into window pane floor just seems sketchy even thought you know it wont break lol
I love how you used kelvin for the americans
Fro the Americans - 310 Kelvin 🤣🤣🤣🤣
some of the most inspiring lifters in this.
Really enjoyable.
22:34 GOT IT! Its the noise that the pirate ship makes at the fairground.
There's so much care and thought put into this video. Entertaining, informative, funny, and above all else, sexy. Thanks, Clarence!
I love the public transit talk! Glad to hear my city in Canada is not the only one who struggles with it.
Did not expect kinnikuman to ever show up in one of Clarence's videos. I'm so happy now. lol
Definition of hanging out with the boys!!
Clarence, check out the McGill big 3 and Squat University if you don't know about them yet. I don't really know anything bout PT, but the McGill big 3 and goblet squats before workouts helped me a lot.
Awesome!
Another blessing from senpai
Nice one
Thnx Clarence
Same here. I use to squat 3 to 4 times a week, got my squat to 450lbs at 165lbs but a injury came along from over training, put me out for some time. Now I only squat once a week depending on the periodization programming. Sometimes I’ll take two plus weeks off from squatting
i love this content
When you take the stairs for go down, it do go down
I wondered from the first time if the soccer anime is Captain Tsubasa. There's a couple on nintendo ds I think. And then there's the killer NES game called Tecmo Cup that was apparently Captain Tsubasa originally or based on that at least, a sick role-playing soccer game with special kicks and tricks and goalie catches.
The Irish weightlifting accent is the most beautiful accent in the world.
Fridge laughing hearing the answer then asking if that really is the reason and laughing harder is great.
Of course I'm biased, but I swear on my life, this is the best Clarence video I've ever seen. No question
By far my favourite part was daire and Eoin having to go back and forth with the proper pronunciation for corcaigh 😂😂😂… “that’s not cork at all”
GOD TIER VIDEO ❤️
Yeah, ok, I can see that hip lift being an issue to some extent. When squatting I very much picture my knees going forward and a bit to the side. Allows me to maintain a proper angle. Interesting that he mentioned the flat shoes, which I did about 2 months ago. When using shoes with a heel for example, I noticed that my leg drive was not being completely directed by my quads. Switched to flat and worked better! At the time I assumed this has to do with my feet since I have some degree of flatfeet.
Strengthen your arches
Hearing someone like Clarence talk about the pitfalls of trying to get strong too fast really makes me feel better. I’ve been trying to rush my progress and I’ve been super vigilant about not being lazy in the gym and always trying to push myself. But I realize that people aren’t invincible and it’s ok to take my time if I want to minimize injuries. I’ve already gotten almost crippling knee pain in both knees in the past.
I got my bench to 315 training like an idiot and had elbow pain for 2 years after. I've learned that you have to SLOWLY acclimate to volume and weight, adding 1 set per week total is a good speed and gives you time to adjust to volume. It's a key factor that many noobs mess up when they start to get stronger into intermediate territory
The kelvin got me😂
@CDawgVA making a cameo at 37:00 🤣
Karaoke is huge in Taiwan. Aside from a lot of KTVs, you also have a lot of separate businesses that also have Karaoke available. There are mobile karaoke booths that pop up everywhere. Many people have Karaoke equipment in their house. I've been here for ten years and while I am used to seeing it, I still don't fully understand the widespread appeal.
Hey Clarence, you think you might ever could put up a video of you hitting a golf shot? You could hit as far as any of the long drive guys with your athleticism...
this makes me want to travel 😭
Yooo that anime brought back memories !!!!
Your self-aware juice humor is the greatest.
this is a historically long Clarence video
Are you friends with Frank Yang? I remember you were in one of his vids years ago. You guys should do a training vid together or something, that'd be cool. Great vid as usual btw :)
You can definitely tell that Clarence hopped on his cycle at 6:02
I am American, thank you for converting to units of Kelvin ❤ i wouldnt have got it otherwise
Hey Clarence, what's you gear? Of course I'm talking about the microfone you use to record
lol loved this, anime everywhere
You're one of the coolest cosmic entities I know. 😎
the jackass bit 🤣🤣🤣 im dead lol
LOL that kelvin joke for the americans
A Whole fucking hour long video❤
That drawing works like a fireplace
Yoo Clarence
Thank you
Babe wake up, Clarence just dropped a video
Asian countries have the best public transport. You guys should travel to Taiwan especially in Taipei cuz we have just the same quality of public transport for way lower costs compared to Japan.
Dat Irish public transport system tho 🐑
Raymond crotty wrote an excellent book comparing Ireland and Japan, Zach or others might enjoy it
My bracing standards are Jesús Olivares and Clarence's sounds at 12:41
A Bocchi the Rock appearance in a Clarence video made my whole week.
0:05 I see you're masking the SikaZolol with SikaTren
Those black ship t-shirt is so 🔥 👌 👌
perfection
collab with the sidemen in england, maybe for sidemen strength test 2 😳
one of those old guys with lightsabers smacked me with out last time I was in Japan for walking on the wrong side of the road, gotta watch out
Is that a fax machine by the squat rack in toshiki’s gym?
5:10 😂😂😂😂 I'm dying
Missing the Anime Intro :(
As someone who's lived in England their whole life, can totally agree/relate about it barely being a functioning country. Sure we're first world and it's not like absolutely terrible, but it's pretty shit in many aspects, such as public transport like Clarence mentioned.
5:43 I see what you did there, "paifically" because your in Japan and its in the Paific ocean smart advertising.
1 hour NICE
Still aroused several years later - nothing shall separate us, Clarence
where do i get that "weightlifting" shirt with the bold yellow text?
