Regarding the Akkaev ak47 video. Judging by the cars, bmw donuts and dress shirt he was wearing I am certain it was a wedding. Slavic nations have a custom of shooting guns at weddings, some even detonate hand grenades. Depends what grandpa saved from the war.

And if not too touchy a subject for TH-cam the whole Colin Burns investigation and subsequent lifting of his ban under what I’d consider to be pretty weird circumstances. Could also talk about the doping ban buff some athletes get when they get banned for doping, come back “clean”, and do better than they did before.

Some other good ones: ilya ilyin breakdancing, karlos nasar getting caught with meth in the car and needing to go to prison after 2024(?), lu xiaojun possibly faking a back injury at worlds 2019, rezazadeh clean and jerking 265 in an iranian comp, sonny webster popping for ostarine, frank rothwell, klokov 200 pause snatch
I think the Maryana story is the strangest of everything on this iceberg. It was strange to begin with and only keeps getting stranger. She's was and still is a blatant propaganda tool taken to the extreme. There's literally not a single chance in hell the NK trip was as spontaneous as it was made out to be.

@@slowfuse simple breakdown: it’s got a volume phase, a strength phase, and a peaking phase that collectively take ~10 weeks? Volume phase is what I’m in and it’s great practice for form, learning some new movements, and getting me bigger muscles so I have higher capacity to increase strength. It’s only 20 bucks or so and comes from a world class athlete. Clarence is a no bullshit guy. He isn’t trying to sell you supps or tell the world he is natty. Just a humble, honest, athlete. Definitely recommend
Weightlifting lore goes so much deeper than this but unfortunately there is very little veritable proof of anything beyond what you brought up. I can thing of a bunch of outrageous things I’ve heard from guys who have trained at high level gyms here in the states. But unfortunately a video on this would earn you a visit from a mash elite hit squad 🤫

Every single top athlete in every sport is a fake natural too, and their earnings come from beating others with same advantages, so it's very much a different thing. Fake nattying is disgusting only because it's basically centered around scamming people.
Vasily Alekseyev restricting Kakhi's lifts because of his blatant favoritism for Sritsov, only for Kakhi to make a 10kg jump on his final clean and jerk for the 1992 olympic gold medal is another good one.

There was this old rumor that Koklayev had to leave russiand weightlifting and ended up in strongman because he banged the headcoaches daughter of which said headcoach did not really approve. (Some say because she was too young, some because Koklayev had no money at the time)
Grizzly snatching 140 kg at 5 years old sounds pretty crazy. I'll never understand when fans boo athletes who have nothing to do with what they're upset with. It's just saying the country lacks all sportsmanship and doesn't even deserve to win.
