I have a mk4 2003 jetta GLS 2.0 AUTOMATIC... I know. But I love the body and the interior so much.. I’d rather be low n slow! You inspire me to hook up my mk4
Glad I can help! The 2.0 auto is pretty much bulletproof, it’ll run forever if maintained correctly
ROAD NOISE MEDIA that’s good to know, I bought it from a single mom and the transmission was in limp mode due to bad solenoids and bad wiring harness... typical auto trans probs in a mk4😂 I’m hoping this will get it to shift again as the transmission shifted superb whenever it actually worked

@@ROADNOISEMEDIA even if you don't maintain it it's still bulletproof. Mine had the coolant flanges fail and it was left running without any coolant. It completely ran dry. Cylinder head gasket and cylinder head are still good! Nothing blown.
So did you put spacers on your tires so that they would pop out more? I’ve been wanting to get some fender skirts for my mini but I don’t want to put them on without spacing out my tires first. What would you recommend?(brands,etc).
DCFanatic7 hello, yes I had to use spacers all around, 20mm on the rears and 15mm on the fronts, I recommend installing the flares first THEN purchase spacers, reason for that is because it’s good to be able to measure how much you want to space out your wheels so your not wasting money and time on spacers that space out your wheels either too much or not enough, when it comes to brands, there’s tons of them out there, as long as they are hubcentric, you should be able to use just about any brand, you might also need hub centric rings depending on the hub size of your wheels and the hub size of the spacer itself

Imanol Padron I had to trim off the top piece of the civic lip, then you just stretch and pull it to fit, using some heat helps, and on the sides you have to get creative with some brackets

I've got a mark 4 2.0 love your car what coilovers did you go with. I am looking for a good set. I was gifted a set of maxpeeding rods coilovers and not completely satisfied but it lowered it rite where I wanted it

What size wheel spacers do u have on it ?
Gilbert Duarte 10mm all around, the wheels are 18x10’s so they don’t really need spacers

It was on the car when I bought it, but I’ve seen them on eBay
Where did you get these fender flares
You can pick them up from AliExpress. I had been looking at getting some for my Jetta but this has helped me make the decision to not proceed. My Jetta is silver and the gaps between the fender flare and the body would show up alot more on silver than they would on a black car.
@@jared4670 just a thought but you could place some kind of gasketing material such as some foam type stuff to cover the gaps and I'm sure it would look great
@@jorgerivera6555 Hey man. Yeah, I have still gone back occasionally to look at this every now and again and heard about a protection layer that should be installed under the flare to protect the paint and fill in the gap. Thanks though! Cheers
