@Claayh it doesn't necessarily force you to pick the other ending. Before starting ng+ I'd suggest making a note or word doc of what decision missions you picked and then choose the other options when it's time. Only way to fully unlock all the missions

Walter's boss fight is so heartbreaking. He is brainwashed by Arquebus to fight you but you can hear him trying to break out of it. They give him some sort of coral augmentation which means he can hear Ayre in the final fight and finally understands who you have been communicating with all this time and that coral is actually sentient. He sounds so proud of you before he dies. Also, quick tip on the Moonlight: Use the uncharged attack. This fires two smaller blade waves. It is a quicker attack and a more reliable way to inflict damage.
Destroy the Drive block is hands down my favorite mission. Rolling through enemies with best buddy Rusty, dunking on an old boss with him, then dunking on Snail and hearing that funny as hell scream, the MUSIC(which btw would recommend looking up Steel Haze Where Truths Meet, great version of that track released by FromSoft). Such a good mission
The theme that plays when you were with Rusty is called Steel Haze (Rusted Pride). When other theme you listened were mostly atmospheric or the sense of danger. Rusty’s theme remains the most emotional and epic music to listen to. And it has actual lyrics that is very symbolic with the story.
One tip I haven’t seen in the comments; the reason you run out of ammo so often is because you’re wasting a decent bit. All weapons have their own effective ranges. Attempting to use them beyond this effective range results in your shots ricocheting, or bouncing off, causing minimal damage and no impact. _Generally,_ kinetic weapons will have lower range than energy or explosive weaponry.
The moonlight blade is so cool in this game. It's damage scales both with melee specialization on arms, and energy specialization on your generator. Use arms, and a gen with high specialization stats and you can get some nutty damage. The moonlight is the only melee weapon that also scales with energy spec. Oh and btw both the melee and energy specialization stats are calculated a little strange. A 100 stat is considered a 0% damage boost. So anything over 100 gets you a higher damage modifier, and anything under 100 gives you a negative damage modifier. Obviously melee spec only applies to melee weapons and energy spec only applies to energy weapons.
FYI Walter has been re-educated. Even through his torture/brainwashing, he still cared about his goals and you. I wish you had done the other ending first! It's not a big deal, but it makes this moment even more impactful.
Nope. The redshift is better than the moonlight in every single way if you use it with the normal two sweeps (Except the cooling). The moonlight's true power resides in it's charged sweep, dealing massive damage from a far. P.S. The moonlight is also the only melee? weapon to scale off of both Energy Firearm Spec of the generator and Melee Spec of the arm, where as the redshift only scales off of melee spec.
@the-nameless-dude Yes you are right but he was using the moonlight not the redshift And even if the charge attack of the Moonlight is better most of the time the double attacks are more reliable

Even in the end he's fighting his reprogramming as much as he's fighting you. Also, kind of why I think there is an issue with this ending (not spoiling the other ones just in context with this). Walter feared exponential growth. So, sorry for the math but if we assume Rubicion-3 is the same size of the Earth (about 12,000km diameter), it looks like the Fires of Ibis covered about half the distance to the moon so 260,000km. What if that never happened and Coral was allowed to double? Then double again? The whole Coral thing can be a galaxy ending event given time and the 2 people that both had the knowledge and motivation to stop it was Carla and Walter and they are dead. So yeah given how pessimistic you are you just doomed the galaxy. Or on the optimistic side, Ayre found a way and you saved it. So, FYI, Walter was captured and reprogrammed to pilot that final AC for Arquebus. Which is what they were gonna do to you when they captured you in the last vid. On his way to face you, he kills Rusty (off-screen). I beat this game a year ago and chose the same ending you chose. Not gonna lie, watching your playthrough is making me want to play the game again to unlock those endings. As you said, in NG+ and NG++, you unlock new enemies, missions, and bosses, and in your shop, you have access to Coral-based energy equipment and weapons. Also, there are 3 endings to this game; you have to get the first two endings to unlock the 3rd. My progression through the FromSoftware series has been Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Demon Souls, and Armored Core 6. Right now, I'm finishing up Dark Souls 1 Remastered. @Akimory91 normal for my first playthrough! (And tysm for no spoilers)
Was hoping you'd get this ending first!! It's got the easiest final boss out of all of them
@mothmist I LOVED THIS ENDING IM NGL, it's so cinematic and I loved that final fight, I can't wait to get all the other endings now and have a good toy w the builds!!
@@Claayh The mission where Rusty returns.. I haven't forgotten that feeling. Greatest moments in gaming right there
@@mothmist REALLL I was so happy he wasn't gone
@@Claayh and we never *see* what happened to him so I choose to believe he went on to live a long and happy life
@@Claayh yeah, and the thing is it hit harder when you realise if walter wasnt both brainwashed by arquebus and you werent going against what he came here to do, he wouldn't have fought you.
man I still think letting players destroy xylem on base playthrough was a flop considering what the leadups are like in ng+/++.
It makes the choice fall flat on its face given the opened routes and endings of NG+/++ have the better payoffs for it.
@zOMGGaiaOnline i mean I think it Just makes people more curious about the other endings tbh
I’m sitting here the entire time Wondering why you were using Moonlight like its a Close Range Weapon with a Long range Charge, the entire weapon is a Long Range Weapon. Like in the Carla fight when you kept trying to charge it I’m like “Bro you don’t have time for that go for the quick Slash, and Dash”
@Grim_Unhinged yeah but I'm a little slow sometimes okay 😭
Best part is it's not. you got 2 other endings to take care of.
@thatorangeboi nearly finished ng+ already can't wait
ending 1 of 3.
New game+
Well…it’s…1 of the 4 endings 😅
@@vaulthunterfromterra4053 😭😭
Bro only played one of three endings
@_nichole_ that's why I'm doing multiple playthroughs
It isn't....

I'm two bosses away from finishing that game, and in case you're wondering, I already beat the Artorias of the Abyss DLC (fuck that dragon). When I finish that, I might take to the skies as Raven again.
@banx757 IM SO SAD ABT WALTER NOW 😭😭 also I'm so happy that my videos are making u want to play the game again that's exactly why I make them
@@Claayh Have you heard about the animated short for Armored Core staring Keanu Reeves?
It’s not
