I just checked all of them at the shop and I have to say.. the Ultra feels extra premium. the Plus feels like a brick in my hands. So thick and big. The Ultra felt more handy than the Plus... the 24 vanilla felt very nice as well. Much smaller but also a lot more handy. The build quality looks very premium, like 95% of what Ultra feels like. I´d say the plus felt like 80%, if I had to give a number. The plus felt exactly the same as A55, which is a third of the price. I´d rather have that then.
I know it´s just the judgement of feeling.. but for me personally that is very important. I want to feel great when I take the phone into my hands and Ultra feels fantastic. The vanilla feels almost fantastic as well. Plus.. not so much. I would think about it every time i reach for it in my pocket.

I think I'd get the regular 24 if it offered the same charging rates and had the same screen as the plus, the fact that they tappered some specs down, didn't have all screens exactly the same with size being the only difference. I feel more pressured to go up to the plus to get the QHD screen and faster charge speeds. Then it makes me question the size difference from the ultra but then I still battle the price difference. Right now I am eligible for a 1k trade in on mine and my wife's devices. So with that being said we would only have to pay the taxes up front for the two plus models and then we'd have new devices, if we go the ultra route we would have to pay they additional $300+ taxes per device too. The no brainier feeling comes over mind to say grab the plus and run. I do have the S21 ultra currently which is about the same form factor. Was hoping to step down slightly for easier pocket carry and handling in general but that spec bump on the 24 is just less appealing. It will cost me almost the same amount to go with either the 24 or the 24+ so the plus is what we're leaning towards.

    • @snek1356

From most benchmarks i've seen, it is worse then the snapdragon but the difference is very small. It's only really noticeable with a handful of games or emulation, there won't be any difference in normal use. The exynos does drain a bit more battery though, especially on 5G networks. I don't think it's a dealbreaker or anything, it's a shame that it is slightly worse but it won't matter 95% of the time. Definitely better then their previous exynos chips.

Got the S24 Ultra, finding the weight is a bit much. Also, doesn't feel comfortable to hold. I'm always finding I want to put it down to use, instead of holding it. Also, starting to notice asking myself "do I need to take my phone?" before heading out somewhere. Not a good sign. Big weight and size difference bw the two (167g vs 232g!), but still have mostly same features as mentioned in this video. So I'm seriously considering selling the Ultra to a friend and getting the smaller S24 instead.

Even though there's only a hundred milliamp hour difference between the plus and the Ultra, for some reason when I got the ultra I was getting anywhere from 15 to 20% more battery life every single day and when I had the plus even though again the milliamp hours is only a hundred difference that's just how it was

I have an s22+ I've been debating for months whether to get the ultra or stick with the plus model. The new exynos chip isn't a deal breaker for me as im from the uk and currently have exynos 2200. Looking back, most of the phones I've had in the past have run exynos, so it's not a big change unless you are coming from snapdragon. I've always wanted the ultra/note model but always bailed out in the end. The plus is an all-around great phone, screen size is great but not too big, and the battery is very good for me as i use my phone for work and personal use.

Everyone should know this. I have an S20 FE on Snapdragon, a day ago I received an S24 plus on Exynos.
Taking photos on the S24+ is very unstable, the photos look like crap in terms of colors and even detail compared to the S20 FE! The photos are very HDR in auto mode, the color rendition is poor, there are highlights, and in difficult conditions it turns out completely incomprehensible. I tried different settings and PRO mode, but to no avail - as soon as the shooting conditions get a little worse, the quality instantly falls apart.
Shooting on the S20 FE is better in all respects than the S24+ at the moment. Only, perhaps, the video quality in the daytime is better on the S24 due to more advanced stabilization. And I don’t understand how bloggers compare the camera quality of the S24 with the iPhone 15 and other smartphones when it is inferior to the younger model from three or four years ago. Instead of finally making really good cameras and putting a good processor on the entire line, Samsung is throwing dust in the eyes with almost useless AI. Samsung are you serious, wtf is that?!
