Thank you, I needed this. In March of last year my 7 year old son passed away from myocarditis. I'll never be ok again. I have tried counseling but nothing truly helps. I was pretty overweight at the time. I didn't eat hardly at all after he died and ended up losing somewhere around 20 pounds. 2 months later my husband of 22 years left me, seemingly out of nowhere, and I spiraled out of control. Suddenly I found myself eating all the time. I ate until it hurt, I ate things I didn't even like. It was truly awful. I gained those 20 back and put on an additional 20. The beginning of this year I started going to the gym because a friend of mine convinced me, as a way to just be out of the house. Turns out I actually really have come to enjoy lifting weights and Ive lost 30 pounds. My nutrition is still not great and that's likely why I'm not seeing as much progress as I could. You have inspired me to track my calories more consistently. Sometimes I just need to vent a bit, sorry this is so long. Thank you so much for this motivation. I want to go forward trying harder.

Nikki I have watched your journey for awhile as both you and Adam are so motivating! This has got to be one of your best videos yet. I appreciate you being vulnerable with us about your struggles and journey. That takes a lot of courage and strength. ❤
Thanks so much, Nikki, for sharing your story. I am in a job right now that takes all of my time. It is unhealthy emotionally and psychologically. It has played a part in me putting myself and my health last. Watching this has inspired me to put myself at the top of my list. What you said about making the mistake of just people-pleasing and not taking care of myself really hit home. I am a woman in my sixties with over 50 lbs to lose. I want to get my confidence back and find a job that will support a healthy lifestyle. You go, Nikki! You and your husband. You are an amazing woman. Thank you for giving of yourself and encouraging us to know that a healthy life is possible!
Go Girl! Having yo yoed with me weight since a teen I know how hard it is to have the grit and determination to stick to something, change the negative food mindset and make these changes a part of life. You’ve done this and you are fantastic! Congratulations and well done. You are an amazing role model and I am proud of you. Best wishes from Australia xx
What a wonderful journey you’ve been on. Do you seriously look THAT FREAKING AMAZING at 188 pounds?! WTH?! I’m at 222lbs and just beginning again. 5’6” and always feel like I need to get down to 150 to look good again. Seeing your results, I might not have as far to go as I think I do! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Nikki, for sharing. I loved your quote, "You can't control the scale, but you can control your tracking." Absolutely! You can have an awesome week eating & tracking and not lose. Tracking is so important. I have tracked every day, every meal since January of 2020.
Thank you for this. I didn't have as much to lose, about 20lbs but I quit smoking and my Dr. told me to join WW (again) but I was "pre-diabetic" so she made me check that box. So when you say apple, grapes, bananas are 0 point foods, I remember the last time I was on WW and they were. Now "pre-diabetic" they cost points. A banana is 3 points. That being said, I drop my A1C from 6.4 to 5.7 in the first 6 months. I've reached my goal weight wise (actually over at 23lbs), and the real success is in the bloodwork. Thanks for all your videos. Especially the snack ones.
This is so inspiring! I lost almost 20lbs in the past few months. I don't remember how many, I don't like to keep track. It's definitely discouraging when I see the weight fluctuate 4lbs over a week. But, also encouraging that I have made so much progress! Good to hear it's harder to get to a healthy weight when already not too overweight. I've found that for me it helps to not keep snacks in the house, only eating during mealtimes as much as possible, avoiding things with wheat as much as possible, and doing something active a few times a week, whether it's rock climbing or an hour long walk. Also, I've found that intermittent fasting helped me as well, I usually eat my first meal sometime between 4-7 hours after I wake up.
This story hits home for me. I have also taken so many before photos and just delete them bc I get discouraged. We are so busy working full time and trying to make it to all the kids activities that we eat out way too much. Very inspiring journey, thanks for sharing!
Thank you! The hidden folder on my phone helped me so much with finally keeping my before pictures and sticking to it but I know what you mean! One day at a time ♥️
I love that you were rewarding yourself without food. That’s where I always fall short. I stay super strict for so long, then “reward” myself with a binge of unhealthy foods. Before I know it, I’m back to my old habits. This was the motivation I needed to get back into all the healthy habits I need and do enjoy when I get into them. Thank you for sharing!
The power of making a decision for Yourself, and focusing on getting back to center when you veer off are The most important pieces of advice ever, imo. Stay the longer course, and don't give up on yourself. So inspiring Nikki. 🤩Such an important video- one of your best yet! btw- I own your cookbook 😉
well done. I have done this 4 times in my years. now, I'm plump, healthy, strong, flexible and finally could NOT CARE less what people think of me. Health!
Excellent video just what I needed to hear today. Every day I look at myself I feel miserable and this was just the motivation I needed thank you. I appreciate you.
What an inspiring story! You highlighted some things that seem really important - starting with goals of consistency not pounds or calories, taking control of food preparation and changing things about your favorite meals not throwing them out completely, finding exercise that is fun for you not something you hate. Thanks for the encouragement! ❤
What a great video! Congratulations to you & Adam. It is inspiring, made me smile & glad that even at 77 I am on a weight loss journey where it’s down to the last 20 to 30#’s. Like the both of you weight watchers & exercise WORKS!
Nikki, this is by far the best weight loss journey video I have ever seen. Thank you & Congratulations!! I have been up & down the scale since 8th grade it seems. I go from too thin (nearly anorexic) to obese. I have clothes from size 5 to size 16. As a professional singer, artist and musician this is very tough. So many are taking pics and videos of me when I am performing and I cringe wondering if they will come out ok or if I will look fat. I use food the way others use drugs, alcohol or anti-depressants. I have experienced so many premature losses of loved ones from an early age that unresolved grief fuels this addiction. I find it the most difficult to just start and get past around day 5. Once I am on a roll, I will keep going working on losing 5 lbs at a time. I have weight to lose now, and I cannot say how much for fear one of my musician colleagues will see. As a front lead singer looks are very important. I manage to wear jackets and a lot of black and this helps me look good in photos despite needing to lose this weight. My dad was a food addict and many others in my family. I watched how he handled his emotions by overeating unhealthy foods. My well meaning grandparents would spoil us with sugary treats and salty snacks. I seem to associate these foods still to this day as the comfort of family. Having lost so many family members to death or estrangement (for having different views, being generally misunderstood and the black sheep of the family), the addict in me found many reasons to indulge. I have recently relocated from NJ to SC and that transition was very tough. I had a lot of 'bad luck' and thankfully that seems to be behind me. The extra weight, however, is making things like an ankle injury take so much longer to heal. There are also skin issues that are directly related to the extra weight. I look in the mirror wondering 'why did I do this to myself??' Just a mere couple of years ago I looked fantastic at around 35 pounds less than I am now. And even then I wanted to lose a little more. Instead, I gained. The food was my 'friend' and relaxed me, comforted me but is now killing me on all levels. I have been feeling shame, embarrassment, guilt, anger and sadness about this weight. I know that hopeless feeling too. It's awful. Now it's the holidays and I am going to see my best friend in the world. I will be attending some parties where normally I go straight to the food, or the dogs if there are any, and escape into my own world. I am a very extroverted, animated front lead singer in a great band and you would never know that sometimes, however, I can be shy. I am also a painter (artist, web is karenwallo-fineart.com) and that is the introverted side of me. I know how happy my losing this weight once and for all would make not only me, but also so many of my dear ones who love me and want me lean and healthy. The pressure of trying to lose it for them never works. I need to find a way to do it for myself and remember how great it feels to fit into all my cool stage clothes! I love fashion and want to throw out all the black clothes once I get back down to my healthy weight. Being very unconventional and doing things differently I pledge to myself and all the eyes reading my words that I am going to start this healthy weight loss journey RIGHT NOW. No excuses about the holidays, the trip or anything else. The time is Now. Isn't that all we really have?? The Now!? It really boils down to a DECISION. And as you said, Nikki, consistency. God bless anyone who struggles with this awful addiction. Let's pray for one another and support one another in becoming the absolute best version of ourselves. Life is short. Let's live it healthy and free!!!

Nikki I have watched your journey for awhile as both you and Adam are so motivating! This has got to be one of your best videos yet. I appreciate you being vulnerable with us about your struggles and journey. That takes a lot of courage and strength. ❤
I appreciate that sooo much! Thank you for saying that 🥰♥️
A wedding dress and roller blades. Perfect!
Thank you for giving of yourself and encouraging us to know that a healthy life is possible!
i believe in you!
Such an impressive transformation physically and mentally! Every inspiring.
You absolutely fabulous! Great job! That wasn’t easy but surely worth it! 🏆🥇🎖️
You are so positive! Thank you for telling us your story and sharing this amazing journey!
What an awesome video! Loved this and congratulations to you both!
Thank you so much! 🥰
What a beautiful story ❤
This is the most accurate video on weight loss I've seen recently.👏
Thank you!! 😊
One day at a time ♥️
congrats you look great! consistency is key 💪💪💪
This is amazing!! Congratulations to you and your husband 🎉🎉
Thank you so much! 🥰
Thank you sooo much!! ♥️ and ahh yay! I hope you love it 🥰
well done. I have done this 4 times in my years. now, I'm plump, healthy, strong, flexible and finally could NOT CARE less what people think of me. Health!
Wow! Thank you for sharing your story! ❤❤
Excellent video just what I needed to hear today. Every day I look at myself I feel miserable and this was just the motivation I needed thank you. I appreciate you.
Congrats brilliant work. Very inspiring 🎉
What an inspiring story! You highlighted some things that seem really important - starting with goals of consistency not pounds or calories, taking control of food preparation and changing things about your favorite meals not throwing them out completely, finding exercise that is fun for you not something you hate.
Thanks for the encouragement! ❤
Thank you 😊
What a great video! Congratulations to you & Adam. It is inspiring, made me smile & glad that even at 77 I am on a weight loss journey where it’s down to the last 20 to 30#’s. Like the both of you weight watchers & exercise WORKS!
Thank you so much!! That’s awesome to hear! ♥️
Let's live it healthy and free!!!
i needed this video so much!! i’ve lost 75lbs and i honestly didn’t realize how proud i should be of myself until i saw how proud you were of yourself!! i started watching your videos at the beginning of my journey and you’ve helped me the most out of any other resource. so thank you 🫶🏻
75 lbs lost?! Are you kidding me? That is amazing!!! Congratulations!
You are such an inspiration!!! Well done on regaining your health and happiness!!
Thank you so much! 😊
What an incredible and inspirational video. I’ve followed you for years now and am blown away with the pictures of “before.” You and Adam did an incredible job taking back your health. Congratulations!!
I appreciate that so much, thank you! ♥️
LOVE your honest journey and shares. I am learning about the "indulgence" and balance right now too and your video confirmed exactly what I"m learning...it's "okay" to indulge as that's exactly what keeps it sustainable! Thank you for sharing your story!!
You and your husband are awesome. Congratulations on all of you guys accomplishment I love y’all story you both look amazing.😊❤
Thank you!! 🥰💕
Thank you for sharing your story & pictures! Both of your stories are so inspiring!

Your story is so amazing and inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. You and you’re husband look fabulous ✨💫
Thank you so much! 🥰
Thanks for sharing this and it’s amazing you had the foresight to document it all along. But what strikes me is how our bodies want to heal and be healthy.
You are so pretty girl, this kinda made me tear up a little bit because I've felt the same way my whole life. This definitely gives me motivation so thank you!
I'm on a weight loss journey myself and I've lost 36lbs so far - all through calorie counting and portion control. It's such an amazing feeling to see your body change and all your efforts accumulate into a real result 🎉
Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is super encouraging🙂
I’m so glad! 🥰
You've been such an inspiration. The mental load of losing weight can be so overwhelming and exhausting. I have enjoyed watching your journey over the years! This is a great reminder to keep going! I have battled weight my whole life and lost 65 lbs last year but then gained just shy of 20 lbs back. I've lost about 6 of those but really need to focus. Beautiful story!
What a refreshingly normal and lovely person
Thank you! 🥰
That is soooo great!!!! Amazing transformation for you and your husband!!!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Awesome video. So well done. Thank you for sharing your journey ❤
Fantastic, well done you. It was fasting for me but whatever works for you, like you say; consistancy is key. Find the thing, do the thing, keep doing the thing, be happy doing the thing forever. Quick 'fixes' don't work.
Nikki, you are the most inspirational person that I've never yet met ❣️ Thank you for an incredible channel. I really look forward to new videos. Keep up the good work Nikki and Adam 👍 ❤❤
You truly are an inspiration to so many of us . Thank you for all you do to help us achieve to where we want to be. You and Adam are truly a gem. You both brighten our day.
😄Congrats on your journey. Your testimony has been encouraging.
thank you!! 😊
AMAZING! Congratulations, this was very inspiring.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Nikki thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Nikki, you and Adam both look fabulous, I have been watching your videos for a while now, you both are so inspiring, I am so happy you shared your story and you have given me the courage to try again. Thank you!!!
My complete admiration to you and Adam! Thanks for sharing your journey 🤍
Wow, what an inspiring story! Congratulations on your amazing journey. Did you stop doing your home cookie business when you decided to get serious about losing weight and getting healthier?
thank you so much! I actually still run my home cookie business I just make sure to enjoy some of the treats I make in moderation! I've scaled back the amount of orders I take so I can manage my time better as well!
@NikkiGetsFit okay. I have a custom cake business from home, and the struggles you had hit home! I am taking fewer orders now. The stress was unreal, and the little to no sleep sometimes really took a toll. You are an inspiration! I just signed up for weight watchers. I love how they do the point system.
Thank you for sharing your journey!
BTW, do you have a business instagram page? I'd love to follow you if you do
@@andrealynn5506 ohh that is awesome! Getting to the point where I could turn down orders was so difficult for me but so worth it to have some sanity back 😅 and thanks so much, it’s instagram.com/nikkis.creativeconfections
And of course! I’m here if you ever have any ww questions or just need some extra support 🥰
So proud of you 🥹😍❤️
Thank you!! 🥰
Thank you so so so much! I went from a size 12 to a size 4! I roller skate too, but I hit my head so I had to get staples at the ER and they made me weigh and I don’t have a scale in my house and on their scale I weighed a lot!
Less than 200, but more than 150!
I thought I had lost so much weight, but I had just lost sizes! I’m really wanting to shed some of this weight now… you have inspired me! My son also lost lots of weight (he doesn’t like me saying how much) but he inspired me too!
I’m recording my calories now, I am a week in and I just got to see your video!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I just posted some skating reels tonight! From sunset!
Please wish me the best! I really want to believe I can drop this weight finally!! Thank you!
🛼❤️💯🎉 congrats to you both! I’m so so happy for you! 🎊🎊🎊🥳
Just ran into this vid, amazing job Nikki 👏👏
I love it when people realize what food and moving really is and what it can do. So happy for both of you!
The smile that started coming out on the pictures 😊

Thank you so much! 🥰
Soo real and thank you for sharing the Photos! 🙏🏻 you look great
Thank you!!
Wow you are amazing, thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. I relate so much with you. About to start my journey and came across your video. I’ll rewatch your video for continued motivation to reach my end goal and lifestyle change. I’m 5’6” 270lbs with many health issues, been started seeing a dietician and working with my doctor to improve my health and prevent future health issues of diabetes, stroke, heart disease. My husband and family are supporting me thru this new lifestyle change. Hoping to reach my goal of weighing between 136-150 lbs in 2-3 years and celebrating every accomplishment and long life.
Congrats! You look amazing!!!
Thank you so much! 🥰
I'm ready to do this! But where and how do I get started?
9:39 That's my strategy too. Before I'd always approach going to the gym as if I'd been a regular fitness fanatic for years. That would always last about a month before I quit. Now my goal is just make going a consistent habit and doing exercises I enjoy. Slowly add in more intense stuff as I get more disciplined.
Yes! That definitely makes it a little easier to stay consistent!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! This is very inspiring 🥹
🥳🥳
Thank you so much! 🥰
Amazing story! Thank you for sharing. I’ve been enjoying your videos and recipe ideas. Very inspiring!! 😊😊
Thank you sooo much! ♥️
👏Great Job I love your channel and loved this recap. You have motivated me to get back on track, thank you!!!
I’m soo glad! Thank you 🥰
So happy and proud of you and hubby too 🥲… congrats! 🍾🎉
You are such an inspiration! I’m currently on WW and have been struggling.
Your story is so impressive!! I love seeing all the photos. I'm sure this video took a while for you to do! I can see the hard work, both in your story and in the video itself. I hope I can be successful as you someday.
Thank you so much!! It did but was nice to go through all the pics again, made me emotional!! Thank you ♥️♥️
Your story has really encouraged me and Monday I signed up for WW. I've been following your journey for I think 2 years now. I've always enjoyed your content and recipes but never thought that I needed a weight loss program. After struggling with my weight for the last 4 years and just feeling downright cruddy I decided to take the plunge. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your story. Your channel has been one of my faves and I love your cookbook. You and Adam are so cute and make me smile! Thanks for sharing recipes and snack ideas. It’s been a great resource in my own journey and much appreciated.
I've never considered Weight Watchers because I've been athletic and fit most of my life. That changed in 2020 with COVID, a slow post-virus recovery, and perimenopause. I gained 40 pounds and have struggled to eat and exercise. Definitely checking it out. Your story is inspiring!
you story is so inspirational! congratulations and thanks for motivating us~
Thank you so much! 🥰
Wonderful story! Thanx for the inspo 👍🏽. I have 70 lbs to lose as well. Tracking and the amounts are defidently key. I will see if this works for me again. I did not really give it a chance.
Your video was so helpful to me, Nikki. I'm going to follow your advice and take it one day at a time. Thank you!!!
I’m so glad! It really makes such a difference ♥️
Nikki, thank you for inspiring me to start the New Year off on the right foot. Happy Holidays! Karen
