Here's a tip about the giant bread. Put it in the fridge for a few hours before you slice it up (I mean after you've had that amazing first two slices off the end with lunch). I just made the dal for my family. My husband said it was the best he ever had. I doubled the recipe cooked it in an instapot. It needed an extra 10 minutes cooking time. Thank you for such an amazingly delicious recipe!!!

I honestly never comment on TH-cam videos but just wanted to let you know that I make your recipes RELIGIOUSLY and feel so confident trying a new one for other people because I've never had a bad one. My family and friends have loved the ones I've made for them so I've been spreading the word :)
Hi Nisha! I really enjoyed watching your video! As a Korean subscriber, I wanted to tell you that the roasted seaweed you used for kale salad is Korean (I see it's written in Korean on the package) and we call it Gim. Nori is actually Japanese. I'm not bothered or anything since Nori is probably a more known name for seaweed in America, but I thought it would be cool to let you know! Have a good one :)
love you foods! Im not vegan but Im on a mission to have more veggies in my life and I love you recipes. I have been binge watching your channel for food inspiration.
You are so refreshing! I love your content and authenticity. Not trying to come of "perfect" and teaching us new vegans a more manageable way of eating and living! I have so much fun watching your channel. Keep it up!
First time I see a video from her, but I’m impressed. She uses all fresh ingredients. Most youtubers use prepped food, frozen/chopped veggies, but she takes the time to do it all… love it!
Just learned in my biology of aging class that intermittent fasting increases lifespan, even when the cumulative amount of calories consumed is the same!
I’m not vegan but I’ve been really enjoying incorporating all these recipes and concepts into my day to day, definitely looking to cut back on the animal products. Great channel and content!
I love seeing what you ate throughout the week and also showing us some of your daily activities~! Also, you are absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks so much for all your tips
The Brussels sprout salad looks delicious, I wonder if topping it with roasted shaved Brussels sprouts instead of raw would make it less “chewy”. Thank you for the inspiration and attainable, relaxed vegan recipes.
You are a ray of sunshine. I think everyone appreciates your recipes and your approach but in addition to all of that I just want to say I appreciate your humor. The little jokes you make here and there make the videos entertaining. Also all the colors. Do you do this full time or is this a thing you do on the side? I’m so curious.
You're very sweet! I'm glad to hear you enjoy the little quirks and jokes :) I'm a full-time content creator (used to be a lawyer, very different line of work haha). But TH-cam is not my full-time job, as I also run a blog, Instagram, email list, and am writing a cookbook!
I love love love this video! I’m going to implement these great tips right now. On year 5 of being vegan I want to take my cooking and meal prep to a new, even healthier level. Thank you so much! PS: I very much enjoy listening to your lovely soothing voice ❤️
That kale salad was probably the first time in my life I’ve ever seen a salad I truly wanted to eat this instant, damn the layers of flavors and textures are so appealing!
So so so much to love in this video Nisha!! Thanks for all the right reminders!! So inspired! Love how hard u work and so mindfully u live! ❤️sending love and light ur way!!
LOVE your videos!!! Cannot wait to try the fudge. Love the tea and golden milk you made. I recently got on the kale train after discovering it finely chopped (like almost minced). Now I put kale in everything.
You are invaluable to me! I made 2 of your recipes yesterday. Bomb! I’m printing out a bunch more. I’m going to start a binder that’s just your recipes because you and I very similar in the sense that in my head I think I’m like you but really I’m just scattered! 🤣 Thank you SO MUCH for helping me 👍🏼💚🌱
Thank you so much!!! In my environment, unfortunately, people don't eat healthy food. Hard to keep balanced+healthy+tasty food, because everyone push me so hard 😫 😪 Thank you for motivation and delicious favorite recipes 🥰❤ Exited for future videos

Cannot thank you enough for being clear, concise, clever, creative and clearly organized. (Needed another ‘c’ 😂❤) Continued success. Fondly- Deb
Loved this video. Great inspiration. Love the ice cube hack for rice and using avocado to massage kale. Great to see Max and Hannah too! Was the abundance of year round produce a big reason why you moved from NY to Southern California (I know being near family was likely a huge draw)? Wishing you all a Happy New Year. Looking forward to the new cook book.
Hi Nicole! Thank you! The ice cube hack has changed my rice life lol. It was primarily just for family, but the abundant year-round produce is definitely a nice perk! Happy new year to you!

Great Video! You’ve inspired me today to do some prepping. I love it when my food is prepared and in the fridge for whenever I get hungry. Makes the week so much easier when it comes to food. Keep up the awesome content!
Loved this, Nisha! I’ve been vegan for 6/7 years at this point but it’s always nice to see how others eat. I saw the length of this video and was like 🥴 but you’re literally one the most entertaining foodtubers I follow. Also, am I the only white boy who gets confused by all the names for Indian beans/pulses? Yellow split peas, mung beans, moong dal… all the same? 🥴 for real this time lol
Lol I also saw the length of the video when my editors returns it and was like I hope it’s good 😅 Glad you think I’m entertaining! No worries, the terms are definitely confusing! Yellow split lentils or moong dal is the split version (yellow in color) of the whole mung bean (which is green snd takes longer to cook). Yellow split peas are also different - a type of pea, not lentil. Personally, I love moong dal but I don’t like split peas very much. And mung beans, I like but usually only sprouted.
I love love this video and love all your recipes ❤️ I hate salads but after watching your video i have made a grocery list to include all ingredients for making the salads you showed. Love the creativity and effort you put in to make healthy recipes. Can’t wait for your next video. Happy New Year !
I am so glad I found your channel. I can definitely relate to the things you used to do. I did one of your meal preps for this week and I'm loving it. I also purchased your instant pot cookbook and looking forward to making some of those. Keep up the great work!
I tried Complement a year ago, it’s fine for most but I will warn that it has a LOT of B12 way way more than you need which could cause acne(like it did to me) Other than that loved the video and it’s a great refresher for me who fell back into junk/convenience food the last few months of the year
I loved the food part of this video but was extremely envious of the "sunny everyday" 🌞. Here in Canada, we are in deep deep snow. California dreaming lol.
I so enjoy your videos and your recipes are delicious. Fifty percent of my meals are vegan and 25 percent are lacto/ovo vegetarian and the rest have some meat in them. My husband is a meat eater, but he likes our vegan and vegetarian meals.
I love that you added both walnuts and nori. These are some of the best ways to get both your omega 3 and omega 6 in a plant based diet, as these nutrients are very easy to have a deficiency when you are strictly vegan! Amazing recipes I will certainly be making these.
Hey Nisha! Great video. I also favor this way of meal prep, ingredients rather than meals. Was great to get some insight in how you pull it together and also what your day of eating looks like. What would we do without dhal, also a staple in our home.
What a lovely way to cook, eat, live!! It's January 1, 2023 and you have inspired me to eat better!!! I am vegan of course but I need to eat better. You are so adorable and I am going to watch all your videos!!

I hope I speak for a lot of people when I say you are such an inspiration! Everything you make looks SO good. I made your red lentil daal from the "If I could make one meal for a vegan skeptic" video and it opened up my world to flavorful healthy cooking. I just made the Tahini sauce from this video, and the only thing I changed was adding garam masala since I didn't have coriander and garam masala has it and has been my favorite blend since I made the daal, and it is SO. GOOD. Thank you so much for your content, it really has changed my life! ❤️
I love all of your videos, but this one was really amazing! So interesting, well explained, inspiring. I went vegan at the beginning of pandemic here in Italy and I had the possibility and time to study, try, explore this wonderful world, at least one positive side of this crazy situation:) thank you and yes, it would be interesting a video about intermittent fasting!
Hi Heidi! You are so kind! Glad you found one positive highlight out of this crazy pandemic. Hope you are staying safe! I would love to visit Italy this year or next year--do you find it's relatively easy to eat out as a vegan?
@@RainbowPlantLife well, we're still working on it :) our culture is very much "meat and fish" based, but we're experimenting a positive change since every restaurant is now trying to offer vegan options and vegan restaurants are opening almost everywhere. I just made the dal for my family. My husband said it was the best he ever had. I doubled the recipe cooked it in an instapot. It needed an extra 10 minutes cooking time. Thank you for such an amazingly delicious recipe!!!
I am not vegan but I am still so excited to try out your recipes. My mom has a ‘no meat’ rule thrice a week at home Ndebele eggs are banned so I am constantly thinking about what to eat. This one video gave me so many ideas!
I’ve been struggling with binge eating and I’m non dairy so Im really excited to watch this!!
There's so much joy in your cooking! Since trying to eat more plant based, I've fallen back in love with cooking, and my meals are so much more delicious! Thanks for all that you do!
I just want to thank you for making food content informative, accessible and fun! Your tips helped me improve my cooking, gave me lots of inspiration and your videos never fail to make me smile or laugh :) I really enjoy learning about vegan cooking without it being all about diet or fitness, but more about what acutally makes you feeld good and happy
Oh how lucky you are to live in a place where you have sun-ripened fruits and vegetables! I love these big farmers markets, so inspiring and colourful!
And I love your channel! 💖🌼 Please, more of these videos about balanced food 😘
This is so inspiring. Yours is the only vegan food channel I keep coming back to because of its practicality and charm. Thank you, Nisha!
IM TIRED OF RUINING MY BODY
I have my finals in a month and throughout the year i was the most stressed I’ve ever been.I’ve gone to both extremes, now my body is always weak and dizzy. I’ll just start eating healthy,it’s that simple and what I should’ve done from the begging. Thank you so much for this video,it was really helpful!❤️
She’s so creative, authentic and humble.
love you foods! Im not vegan but Im on a mission to have more veggies in my life and I love you recipes. I have been binge watching your channel for food inspiration.
Thanks!
Hey Nancy, thank you so much for supporting the channel! Have a wonderful day!
You are so refreshing! I love your content and authenticity. Not trying to come of "perfect" and teaching us new vegans a more manageable way of eating and living! I have so much fun watching your channel. Keep it up!
You’re so awesome! You have helped me transition my diet. Thank you.
That’s so awesome to hear! I’m honored ☺️
Ooh I hadn’t heard that benefit!! 🤩
I’m not vegan but I’ve been really enjoying incorporating all these recipes and concepts into my day to day, definitely looking to cut back on the animal products. Great channel and content!
This video was made for me! Was literally about to start my meal planning for the week. loved this video!
Love when the timing is just right :) glad you loved this video ☺️
This is the video I've been waiting to see! Would love to see more of these.
So happy to hear it, Simran! Thank you!
Aw thank you! Ooh yes roasted shaved Brussels sprouts would be much better! Brilliant idea 💡
@@RainbowPlantLife I’m excited to buy your next cookbook! Your recipes are delicious
I love love love this video! I’m going to implement these great tips right now. On year 5 of being vegan I want to take my cooking and meal prep to a new, even healthier level. Thank you so much! PS: I very much enjoy listening to your lovely soothing voice ❤️
You’re very sweet Sarika! So happy you love this video so much.
Aww thank you for your sweet note. I appreciate your kind words and support. Sending hugs 🤗
I love watching your videos and they are inspiring me to get healthy again after Christmas.
LOVE your videos!!! Cannot wait to try the fudge. Love the tea and golden milk you made. I recently got on the kale train after discovering it finely chopped (like almost minced). Now I put kale in everything.
You’re so sweet, Lauren! I hope you will have if I just much as we do! Yes, finely finely chopped kale is way way better, so much easier to chew!
I love this tea! I’ve always bought the bags with this mix. Never thought to have a storage like that to make a loose tea. Thanks for the tip!
You are invaluable to me! I made 2 of your recipes yesterday. Bomb! I’m printing out a bunch more. I’m going to start a binder that’s just your recipes because you and I very similar in the sense that in my head I think I’m like you but really I’m just scattered! 🤣 Thank you SO MUCH for helping me 👍🏼💚🌱
I love this video and approach to meal prepping. I struggle so much and this style just makes sense.
Thank you so much!!! In my environment, unfortunately, people don't eat healthy food. Hard to keep balanced+healthy+tasty food, because everyone push me so hard 😫 😪 Thank you for motivation and delicious favorite recipes 🥰❤ Exited for future videos
Started watching your channel recently. You are charming, fun and generous in sharing PDF’s of recipes. I have preordered your recipe book and look forward to this GINORMOUS book of goodness.
Love seeing you & your mom dancing together at the end. So cute! ❤
the only video i needed this year!!
Haha wow, and the year has just begun. I’m honored 🙇🏽♀️
@@RainbowPlantLife I agree. So inspiring and now I’m super hungry! 🥰
I love your channel! I have some recent health issues and I need to change my diet. I’m thinking about going vegan and I stumbled upon your channel. I love the Recipes I watched of so far
i love this kind of videos, they give me so much inspiration for new recipes and how to insert them in day to day life 😄
Yay! That’s so nice to hear Olivia! Love that it will be useful for your weekly meals!
Nisha I am so proud of you! I started following you when you had 54K subscribers and now you’re almost at 1 million!! So excited for you! ❤️❤️❤️ also, I’m from San Diego so it would be so cool to say hello to you sometime!
More of Max in your videos please! Loved this style of video.
Haha I’ll see if he’s willing, he drives a hard bargain
You are my new favorite creator! New subscriber!
“This is pretty much science at its finest”
😂😂😂 you’re not wrong
It’s honestly changed my rice life!
I downloaded the pdf the minute I saw the great food she prepared. Also, I agree on hating the brazil nuts, ha ha. I love this lady. The editing gets better and better. What a treasure she is. Thanks!
Great Video! You’ve inspired me today to do some prepping. I love it when my food is prepared and in the fridge for whenever I get hungry. Makes the week so much easier when it comes to food. Keep up the awesome content!
Nisha you are amazing, I am so so in love with your channel!
Lots of love from Italy 🇮🇹❤
🥰 how sweet are you! thanks so much, Federica! Sending hugs from California.
Thanks 🙏 for sharing all those brilliant, and delicious ideas for meal prepping . I can’t wait to purchase your cookbook. You’re truly awesome 😎!❤❤❤
Love your videos, I always get inspired to cook after watching you! I think your channel is a big reason as to why I now own an insant pot 🥰
Haha I’m honored that you have an instant pot because of my channel! And thank you so much for your sweet comment!
I am so glad I found your channel. I can definitely relate to the things you used to do. I did one of your meal preps for this week and I'm loving it. I also purchased your instant pot cookbook and looking forward to making some of those. Keep up the great work!
I tried Complement a year ago, it’s fine for most but I will warn that it has a LOT of B12 way way more than you need which could cause acne(like it did to me)
Other than that loved the video and it’s a great refresher for me who fell back into junk/convenience food the last few months of the year
I loved the food part of this video but was extremely envious of the "sunny everyday" 🌞. Here in Canada, we are in deep deep snow. California dreaming lol.
I love your content!! As a student I'd really appreciate a dorm-friendly recipe or tips on eating plant based in college :D
I noticed that you were eating pears with almond butter. I love pairing pears or apples with crunchy almond butter. So good!
Hey Nisha! Great video. I also favor this way of meal prep, ingredients rather than meals. Was great to get some insight in how you pull it together and also what your day of eating looks like. What would we do without dhal, also a staple in our home.
Thanks Kim! I love this way of prepping and cooking - so much variety! Dal is such a comforting but nourishing staple!
You are my favorite you tuber, just starter watching you and love your energy, your family. Keep up the good work.
Lovely 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
Thanks for the greetings :) enjoy your weekend!
What a lovely way to cook, eat, live!! It's January 1, 2023 and you have inspired me to eat better!!! I am vegan of course but I need to eat better. You are so adorable and I am going to watch all your videos!!
I absolutely loved this video. So many great meal ideas snacks (apple and nut butter my FAV) and short cuts. I can't wait to put some of these ideas and recipes to use.😀💞
That’s fantastic to hear! Can’t wait to hear what you make :) Apples & nut butter is always so satisfying yet so easy.
I hope one day to come to California and try all of your amazing vegan food.
Love from Milan!
What a refreshing find on TH-cam!!! Thank you for your grateful & loving approach to family and food :)
I’ll have to try Donna Jean next time I’m in My hometown.
You make all your dishes a temptation to convert me to vegan.
I’ll keep watching 🌸🙏
Yes you definitely should - all their food is so delicious and they make everything in house. So nice to hear that my recipes are inspiring you to eat more vegan!
You definitely have one of the best food channels on TH-cam. You always inspire me to eat better.
Love this video! Such great meal ideas. I've just recently found your channel, and love it! Thank you!
Hi Jodylynn! Welcome to our little corner. So happy you’re enjoying my videos! Thanks for being here 🥰
The produce at the market! Beautiful! I am so thankful for foods coming out of California!! You guys are the best :)
Hi Nisha 🙋♀️ I really enjoyed this video ❤️ and I just love you and your recipes 😍 I cook from your instant pot cookbook regularly 🙌I’m heading to your website to plan meals for next week ‼️ Have a great weekend😁
Hi Ruth! You’re so sweet! I’m so happy you enjoyed the video and honored you cook from my book so regularly :)
@@RainbowPlantLife your recipes are so good and have helped me to become 100 vegan 🌱 and to be a better cook 👩🍳
so glad that i found your channel! i feel so inspired by the simplicity and the beautiful colors! i'm not sure if i'll be able to try some of these things due to costs but i definitely want to try the best i can! i also love your outlook on food and nutrition, definitely encourages me a lot :)
Yum! That stew looks amazing. I’m going to give it a try, but add some Dino kale b/c - so good. 😋
Ooh yes that would be a fabulous addition!
I have never left a comment on anything I’ve watched… until now!😀
Well thought out video so useful and refreshingly honest. You had me at not prepping the same food fr the whole week but only essential elements of it. I agree with you I would get bored and waste good food. Thank you for sharing
