People who complain when electric cars don’t have a frunk are ridiculous. You’ve lived your entire driving life without a frunk and now all of a sudden, it’s a problem? This car has bigger issues and at some point, car manufacturers need to realize that turning an ice car into an electric car isn’t the best best option. They need to build electric cars from the ground up. This car costs way too much money for what it offers.
@@kromahj If this was an EV built from the ground, it probably would, but it's clear MB just took the ICE car and electrified it. But if you've lived your entire life driving an ICE car, not having a frunk isn't the end of the world.
@@treads2595 it like saying, you been driving car without power windows, or android auto or Apple car play, don't means you don't want it in New cars. Everything changes.
The real answer to this is actually teslas reasearch. Being the innovators of the frunk-they’ve released actual data that indicates that very small % of owners actually use their trunk. Tesla can tell how many car owners and how often they are opening it. I own a 2022 model 3-Iv used it myself maybe 2 times. It’s not something I can’t live without.
@@kromahj I don't think that's a fair analogy. Think of the benefits of having power windows or Apple Car Play. These are things you use every time you drive your car. I wouldn't drive a car if it didn't have those two options. I most certainly can/will drive a car if it doesn't have a frunk.
Great Video 👍 It’s funny I live at the bottom of I-70 in Arvada, Colorado. I was looking for a good EV and was looking at the Mach-E but you opened my mind to the EQB. Seeing it go up Floyd Hill was impressive!
Picked up a brand new EQB300 a week ago. It lasted 160 miles...then the rear motor just gave up!!! Had to take it back to the dealership. Since you can´t tow the EQB it had to be transported on a flatbed truck. Unfortunately I had parked the EQB in front of my diesel car so I wasn´t able to get to work in time that day. The dealership offered me a rental car (smaller model than the EQB) but I will still recieve the monthly invoices and have to pay for a vehicle sitting in the workshop. Mercedes need to do something about their poor quality.
Great video. Thanks so much. We’re really considering the EQB. We currently have a Tesla Model 3 and absolutely love it. We’ve had virtually no issues. Just curious if you’ve had any issues mechanically or otherwise with the EQB? Thanks again.
If it's going to be plastic, it can at least be covered in something to make it feel nicer. Mercedes says in their slogan "The Best or Nothing." Interior quality should reflect that even at this price point if other automakers (Volvo, BMW, Acura) are making sure their trim panels aren't dirt cheap.
I own an EQA 300 AWD which is a battery GLA, not sold in US. Which is a shame as I love it! Prefer body style to EQB. And only cost $55k in dollars. My first Mercedes. We got a free charger and charge at night and range is great. The fit and finish and interior quality is so much better than Tesla.
Yea, take away all the Mercedes badges and no one would be able to tell that it's a Mercedes and not some generic Asian car. Very bland exterior design with no unique design elements which would remind people of classical Mercedes designs.
So the important question is “Why does it have three vents in the center dash?” Range is supposed to be 227 AWD version. Ioniq 5 has it beat but it’s more of a large hatch back. I really like the looks of it but it’s too expensive. Can you even find one? I won’t buy anything until the craziness is over.
Back Profile and Cockpit look great. Side profile can be improved from current minivan style. 2nd Row seat is small and too low, with zero thigh support. Remove 3rd row option and make it better in 2nd row. Driver assistance package should be standard and vehicle weight reduced.
I own a 250 4matic and it's great. Fit me, wife, daughter (taller than the avg guy) and son in back, and enough luggage for 4 of us for a week long trip. Thanks to its boxy shape. Avg over 30mpg fully loiafrf on hgwy too. back seats slide back and recline. It's quick enough and handles surprisingly good. It's exactly what's it's meant for, boxy surpirny fun little CUV. Also drove a 35 version for a week, which was more sportwagon and 300hp new for under $50k as you get in America at this point.
I test drove this car when it first came out and it’s a complete disappointment! The one I drove did not have power seat adjustments, yes a $60-70k EV with manual seat adjustments, let that sink in! The performance was weak, range is terrible, and the dealer wanted a $10k markup! The car was pushing $80k and it was ineligible for the 7500 EV tax credit. The Model Y is way better on performance, range, and tech.
200 miles of range is only good if you're commuting in town. Any road trip in this would be a disaster. You'd spend more time charging than driving. Call me when you have 400 miles or more of range.
I owned this car i was expecting to say something exciting about this car just nothing the man here talking about a whole bunch of nothing just the weather
If it crashes and the battery pack goes on fire how many gallons of water is needed to extinguish the reaction? Thousands of gallons for a single car battery, the batteries cannot be recycled. Wake up people
I got one of these a couple weeks ago at MSRP. It is a great car for us and haven't had any issues with the range. It is quick enough for what I need.

This would have been interesting with an 80-90kWh battery.
4:28 what are you doing? Is there a single car thats not plastic down there?
It’s a Mercedes. Volkswagens Arteon is something you can have in the mid 40s and it has soft touch bottom of the door panel with felt lining.
Yes, my 2001 Toyota Avalon

Nice overview of the car… but that’s totally not Floyd Hill. Floyd Hill is another 6 miles up I-70 from where you turned off at Genesee Park.
wonder how it would cope with 43 to 45 degrees Celsius in western Sydney
camera shooting should improve pr place the camera with different direction. it's moving too much without accurate capturing
The real downside of EV acceleration is that idiots will create more damage faster.
Mercedes has an exclusive contract with Laffy Taffy, I see...
I’m a big Merc fan and that’s a stunning location but that’s not a great looking car is it ..

Looks better than the eqs
I think the EQA looks better for some reason but we don’t get that
I like the old 📦 glk
Lease special coming
I can’t understand why anyone would want this at over $60,000. Crazy pricing.
Because of the available third row, interior quality, established dealer network, and before the IRA passed, the tax credit eligibility.
The Ioniq 5 SEL/Limited is no better at 55K.

All the Europeans (especially germans) watching you passing cars from the right lane...😱 :)
Pretty cool tho
Nice SUV. Great video, well done, 5 stars. Nice Benz, your video will only make me like the Benz more.(:
If you put it into OFF ROAD mode the screen will tell you the % grade you're traveling uphill/downhill.
Does EQB have that aswell?
200 miles of range...for $60K? For that price it should at least have a quicker charging speed. This is a hard pass.
EQB350 is 227 miles and EQB300 is 243 miles
At least it looks boring as hell.
What's the big problem?
This looks cheap for a Benz 😕! They need to cover the mess up in the front trunk like the Lyriq or something.
I love 2010s Chryslers .. Said no one ever .. DOA
let me correct you Roman... thankfully this car has no 3rd row
I think it's overpriced compared to the competition.
I test driven the fully loaded model. The dealership wanted to entertain a 10k markup. I told them to go fly a kite
I was able to reserve and purchase one without any dealer markups

Mercedez is overpriced it’s because of name
You are one tall human being
If you think the third row is cool-then why don't hop in there and call an ambulance or a tow truck to get you out of there
Love the glb but this how is only 200 miles of range acceptable, so basically if you don’t drive buy this.

You should stop reviewing any EV or any car you're not prepared to talk about.
Way too much talking about everything but the car itself.
There is nothing to talk about he looks like he's dragging his feet the car sucks I own the piece of shit
Been saying Mercedes is really not all that luxurious. I’ll buy a Cadillac before I think about a Mercedes especially now with the evs 💀
Bla bla bla, stop blabbering. Talk about the car
Ioniq 5 beats this hands down. The EQB almost seems like a "compliance" car.
How so?
If it crashes and the battery pack goes on fire how many gallons of water is needed to extinguish the reaction? Thousands of gallons for a single car battery, the batteries cannot be recycled. Wake up people
ICE cars catch fire at much higher rates, and the batteries are definitely recyclable. Pick a better issue to fret about.
omg a magat who wont "wake up" themselves. shocking.
