I was gonna ask the same question. November not the best time for heading to the Great Lakes. I’m sure it has been explained in a previous episode. I will likely come across it now that I’m hooked on the vids.😂
Captain Michael, I wish I had known you were here! I’m a retired history teacher ( living in Virginia Beach) , I would love to have taken you and Mark on a walking tour of Norfolk and to lunch. Love your channel. I sail around the Chesapeake (so many historical places) with my 30’ Albin Balland since my retirement in 2012.
As a new Sailor here from Long Island, NY, I have been watching your videos since I want to take the ICW in the other direction. However, I am not planning on going until next year. I have a question though, are you really planning on coming through New York and heading north this time of year?? All the power to you man! I love your videos!
The videos are a few months behind. I'm enacting a master plan that will alow me to sail full time. Unfortunately it means one winter on EV in Canada..
from what i have read and know there is not such Intercoastal waterway, even the inside parts are considered Intracoastal. If you look online there is no mention offically and the Intercoastal which to be honest was a surprise to me as i have always called it the Intercoastal. I guess we do learn something everyday
Not very practical at a 100 bucks especially when eating at coinjock. Probably better to make it a long day and make great bridge going north or somewhere past coinjock and abermarle sound
Been in the USA too long. They want me to register my vessel in the USA ect. Have no choice. Plus I was not granted a cruising permit. It's in the videos..
Living life to its fullest with good times and good people is what it’s all about👍
Another cool episode. Love the drone shots! Alot of extra work while navigating! Looking forward to yr next episode. Cheers!

I second the AB inflatables. Bought a used one in great shape. Fiberglass bottom..very heavy duty tender. Paid 10 percent of new. Had it 2 years now
🗽🗽Another great video.
Another great video!!!!
Michael, another Michael here. Great video. How often do you check your standing rigging and keel bolts? Just curious.

You can tie up at great bridge just before the lock as well. There are two public docks
I saw that! It's just getting under the bridge to get to the public dock! Hind sight is 2020
The ICW begins in Mass at the Blyman bridge/Annisquam river
Mark driving on the wrong side of the road

I see the intracoastal in NJ and the Intercoastal online. It's everywhere.. Not sure what you mean..
@@sailingEV888 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intracoastal_Waterway
@@sailingEV888 according to the link its the INTRA not INTER, i never knew that ive always saiid INTER but apparently that is not correct.
