    This has been a car that I've owned for over 4 years and it has been a great family car. It's reliable and has never had any major failures. All have been minor issues. I judged the car and gave it scores according to the time period, not compared to newer cars. You can pick these up really cheap and parts are always available for them, and its easy to work on so I think its one of the best full size sedans you can get for the price. I'm gonna drive this daily until it blows up on me! Currently has 108K miles on the clock and still going strong.

    Nice car. I just got a 2007 Impala a few months ago with 115k miles. No leaks, doesn’t burn oil, it’s very smooth and feels like a luxury car, transmission is very smooth as well (at least for now), engine is very quiet. I have the 3 seater one that has 3 seats in the front which is pretty cool given the year, very comfortable seats as well feels like my home couch lol. Overall (for now, not to jinx it) it has been a very reliable car, I did my first oil change about a month and a half ago. Extremely reliable in terms of gas which I’m surprised given the size of the motor and V6, the gas lasts a pretty long time probably almost as my Corolla. This car is very affordable and no problems so far, overall I think it’s definitely worth it for the money.

      Considering you can get them pretty cheap now, they are worth the money, and the trunk on these cars are way bigger than the competition.

      There's great videos on TH-cam showing how to replace the bar without lowering the subframe. You pop out the tie rod end on the passenger's side (front). Then you can pull it out the side of the car and install the new one the same way.

    Hi, If all goes well, meaning no major issues are detected when I get a thorough pre-purchase inspection next week, I will soon be purchasing a 2009 LTZ with 57,200 mi. Same exterior color as your 2010 but with the tan leather interior. The car belonged to an elderly relative who recently passed away. The only modifications I plan is the radio, but I will instead get one I can plug & play from a salvaged 2013 or 2014 Traverse. I'll need to pay to get the radio unlocked. Not going to a dealer for that, I found a business online that has a "reasonable" unlocking fee. I plan to also get a HUD unit, and a wireless backup camera. I am not car savvy, and don't want to pay a tech to install a backup camera to the radio monitor. I have watched several camera installation videos, and with time and patience, I could probably do it, but that is more work than I want to do on a car. Writing and Photography are my joys, not cars. (Lol) Oh! I also want to change both grills to the mesh type. Question: What is it with young men and wanting their rides to be loud? That is a serious question from a woman in her mid-50s. 😉

    • @LawsonsCarReviews
      @LawsonsCarReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The loud car question. I used to own a Jag that was silent. It used to make me feel like i was falling asleep if i drove more than 30 minutes. Too smooth too quiet. My Impala was too quiet too. So i needed some sound and vibration to feel the car when I'm driving and to give me some extra drama.

      I actually got the install free but it's typically $50-80 per muffler. Depends where your at in the country

      @@LawsonsCarReviews That's why my next car is going to be a LTZ impala with 300 hp.....Right now I have a 2010 Volvo S 80 with 281 turbo 6 6cyl horsepower .....the car is fast enough but I'm just planning my next future car purchase...To meet my need for speed I may also consider the V 6 Toyota Camry with 268 hp.....those are quick.too.....I do prefer the LTZ cause of the horsepower and the fact that it would be cheaper to service than my Volvo.....😁😄

      Let me tell ya. The camry v6 is nice but the transmission shifts super lazy. It's definitely the weak point of the car in my opinion.

Of course my volvo moved out faster.....But now I'm going to test drive the next LTZ V 6 I see just to see how much difference that 300 hp motor is compared to 281 turbo power .....just curious...
