If you like the Deluge in its current form and save up to buy the Deluge in its current form, then any future hardware releases don't matter, right? I mean, it's really amazing in its current form, you can't go wrong.
Fair question! I know Synthstrom have made statements in the past, expressing no interest in making a Deluge 2.0. That said, those statements were a long time ago. Fantastic ! Still no way to transpose a track from the keyboard view ?
Not at this stage, although you CAN transpose your songs and even individual tracks up and down by semitones from song view now
@@RSKT_music yes i know, but doing it in a specific note from the keyboard would be so sweet. I love all those advanced features the wonderfull community is adding, but at my newbie lvl of music production, transposing this way is the one last thing i dream about for my beloved Deluge !
@@quentin2368 you could always chat to the devs on discord. They might be able to add it in.
sooo... as of May 2024, even tho its still costantly being updated, do you think Synthstrom is gonna come out with a new hardware machine anytime soon or drop the price of a new Deluge? im gonna start saving to buy one and dont want a new model to immediately come out / have the Deluge get a huge price drop... what yall think?
If you like the Deluge in its current form and save up to buy the Deluge in its current form, then any future hardware releases don't matter, right?
I mean, it's really amazing in its current form, you can't go wrong.
@@JuanUys amazing response, just what I needed to hear. Thanks, Juan
Fair question! I know Synthstrom have made statements in the past, expressing no interest in making a Deluge 2.0. That said, those statements were a long time ago. Maybe the Deluge going open source frees them up to work on something new, but if that's the case I doubt we'll see it for a very long time. I'd say you're safe to jump in now :)
@@RSKT_music (ian from Synthstrom here). Still no current plans for a new model - we're still very much in the process of switching users OLED screens.
@@alowhum thanks for clearing that up Ian! ❤️
So glad to see a beta because nightly releases are getting STACKED
Definitely. I've finally been playing with the new DX7 implementation on the nightly build. Wow. Didn't realise something like this would be coming to the Deluge eventually.
thanks !!!
No worries!
I wish we could get the cc for the stutter. I'd rather map this to my fader fox, other than ware out the Deluge know.
True. At least for now you can automate the stutter rate. Just can't automate the triggering of the stutter. Hopefully it gets added someday.
As a new deluge owner(it on its way so I haven't got it yet) Should I install the community version or stick to the official firmware?
I would go right ahead and install the community version. If you watch my series on how to use the Deluge, all of it is still there and relevant. The community firmware just adds on extra stuff around it! :)
Congrats! I hope it makes it to you quicker than expected! The Deluge is my next G.A.S. obsession... I will be getting one in a few weeks! I'm just worried they release new hardware or the price drops significantly a month after I get it.
YABADABADOOOH!! It arrived yesterday(Saturday) and its immaculate, not a mark on it. I installed open source Beethoven on it before I tried it out. I am so pumped by it!
@@RSKT_music That's just what I have done, Now to go through all your video's

Any issues with CPU? Think I’m going to try this.
I haven't noticed any issues with it. In fact, the play button now blinks when you're starting to push the CPU too much. Tbh, the only time I noticed the CPU dip was back when they introduced wavetables into an update.
@@RSKT_music Thanks for the info. Looking forward to a deep dive into the open source workflow, if you end up making one.
Should I sell my Play+ for a Deluge?
The Play+ looks like a lot of fun and seems very immediate. I have to admit though, I'm pretty biased and I think the Deluge is absolutely leagues ahead of the Play+. I would highly recommend getting a Deluge. It's just a far more capable machine.
@@RSKT_music I had one for a very short period of time, but it was the one with the old screen and I just couldn’t work with it. Im a spoiled modern mang. It seems like its a has grown massively since then and is now like Deluge 1.5
@@RSKT_music I did love the FX though, from my limited time with it. It felt uncapped. Without limit. Like zero guiderails 😂
@@HelicopterRidesForCommunists well, the effects are even better now! I'd say give it another go (maybe with the OLED screen. I think a lot of people get put off by the amount of features, but you really won't even use half of them. Once you get the hang of it, everything becomes second nature. It gives you so much power at your fingertips!
