Test drove this today. Blown away how it can go from a quiet comfortable cruiser to an all out angry beast at the touch of the mode button. Also the automatic was the best I've ever experienced. It was so responsive. This car is fast as hell too. I mean heart racing fast stock.
The 8 speed automatics are junk I’d rather have the old 6 speed but that newer 10 speed is amazing. Had a terrible experience with the 8 speed on the Cadillac ATS
I agree. It seems as though GM took a step back with the design. I'm not a fan of the front end look as others aren't as well. May be why the Camaro is going to be discontinued yet again. If they went back to the '16-'18 look and made the inside a little bigger with better visibility, they'd do a lot better.
I was obsessed with the 6 gen camaro ss since high school I’m now 2 years into my ownership with a 17’ 2ss no regrets buying this super happy with it till this day
I wanted one of these since the first Transformers came out, the 5th gen was the coolest thing I've ever seen and then when the 6th gen was released I loved it even more. I have always appreciated how well informed you are about the chassis, the name of the chassis, the design elements, etc. With the Challenger, you mentioned how the car shared the front suspension and rear suspension with specific Mercedes Benz models. You must be combing through trade manuals.
I test drove the 2ss yesterday and I fell in love. As a 2012 ss owner this generation is worlds different than the last generation. I will definitely be getting one this year! Great job Chevrolet on listening to customers. Curious to see what Ford and Dodge will be doing to counter this beast of a car!!
I stumbled across this video looking for reviews of cars and it appeared in my suggested this is a stunning car in my eyes and absolutely amazing review I subbed well deserved keep up the work
Love this review I am a Ford person and I like that the Big 3, Chevy, Ford and Dodge are in a performance war as they were in the 60's and early 70's. This 6th Gen Camaro is a big improvement over the 5th Gen, the only thing I dislike is that your vision is limited and to me dangerous.
I agree with you..the best Camaro ever...Never had american muscle car, always leaned towards Japanese, but now I'm really considering this Chevy Camaro SS...
Another Great review, your the best, your very thorough and cover all the bases, your the main reason I bought my 2014 Fiesta ST, I’m on my 4th set of tires at 53,000, I love driving it on three wheels, keep up the Great work.
Your great review and the Road and Track review convinced me to purchase the Camaro SS. I have been a Mustang guy for years. Old dogs can learn new tricks! Thanks for this great review!
I've owned 3 Camaro's in the past....a 98 V6. a 97 Z28 and a 99 SS. I love the F-body and can't believe how far GM has come. Even though I am a Mopar head now !
I love watching this review...I keep coming back looking at how the car looks going up and down the road and can't believe I look so aggressive coming down the road!
I wonder if when chevy designs a car it goes like this "Design engineer we can still see out of the back, make the window smaller...smaller...smaller..ok can't see at all, PERFECT!".
Last time I was in the States I drove one of these from Texas to Florida and back to Louisiana. Stunning machine. Drank petrol like you wouldn't believe though.
+TheGreatPetry Finally, a smart car buyer, if you have the money for a car buy and be proud to call it yours. I see most people with nice cars but they don't even own it yet, always saying it will be paid off x amount of years.

its simply transcended the genre, its able to handle like a M4 or C63 AMG, it has an interior superior to the mustangs, and it offers more equipment than the challenger (MR ride, HUD, Bigger brakes, digital gauges, ect) good job chevy making the new bench mark.

you suffer from a sever case of cognitive dissonance. i implore you to check out MT's latest lap times from the 1LE V6, nurbo's ZL1 lap time, and C&D's 1LE V8 lap times. stick to facts and logic.
It outperforms? How so? The GT is miles behind the new SS in terms of power, acceleration, and handling. Read any article or drive them and you can see that. You're just so biased that you skip over all of the numbers and facts to try to drive your opinion. Besides, the GT350 isn't that far ahead. The SS 1LE matches the time with the GT350 on Willow Springs. All doing it with 74 less horsepower.
Ruben Sanchez I'm about the same height, and I'm pretty fat too, and I fit in it fine. plenty of leg room. my cousin is 6'8" and he loves driving it as well.
Love the front of the Camaro. Love the back of a Mustang. Had the 2016 V6 Camaro as a rental once, was a blast to drive. I like the interior of the Mustang better though! Hope to get one of these one day.
Great review I always like the in depth style you have my friend. Keep up the good work and i look forward to more content as I go through my car searching process.
I was in a market for a muscle car, I test drove a Mustang GT, Challenger Scat Pack and a Camaro 2ss, To me all the visibility were the same, they are all great cars, all with pros and Cons, Challenger seemed not as agile, mustang could use more power, Camaro's back end seems to be missing something styling wise. After much deliberation I chose the 2016 Camaro 2ss and I do not regret it, the performance exhaust is worth every damn penny. Its not a bad car to commute with either very comfortable! (40 mile commute one way)
Responding to this 7 years later but I’m looking to buy a 2016 2ss as well and was wondering if you got the auto or manual and if you’ve had any issues if you still own it of course
+Cody W Let's just say I had to censor it because it wasn't appropriate for TH-cam ;) . It wanted to keep pulling, but I HAD to let off or risk being thrown in jail lol -Sofyan
+Redline Reviews Bet you have never been so happy to shut those cameras off after filming lol. Nothing to blur out then! Another great video...keep it up!
The challenger is the only car in the class that still reminds people of a muscle car. Camero and mustang went into more of a sports car area. So when I think of muscle cars now, I think of a challenger... Not a Camero or mustang
The changes are wonderful though, I sat in one in the dealership and so didn't want to get out. The dash, seats, outside looks etc, even the side view mirror is great, the Mustang one is super small, sort of silly. I like how they are involving some new technology with keeping the oldness as well, 2 big thumbs up. Then right after I went to the Ford dealership, sat in the new Mustang, it was okay. They have quite a bit of work to do, unless you don't like any change. The dashboard in the Mustang doesn't look the greatest, sort of getting outdated, I know they're going to change a few things after seeing this Camaro. Chev got the "jump start"!
It was an excellent review but I was really let down when you did not test the auto in the manual mode (with the paddles) to show the shift speeds that way.
I'm a former mustang owner now a challenger owner the Camaros always looked good to me but the corvette C6 or C7 which I want is the best looking modern car to date.
Caleb Whitted Well, this is the SS. Which I would compare to the Mustang GT.. The GT350 would be better compared to whatever high-po Camaro version Chevy drops.. ZL1 or Z/28
bliglum Mustang forums. Ford didn't offer any coolers for the brakes, oil, or steering. as a fix, the base gt350 will offer those coolers in next year's model.
+Jacob Rolls This is so overblown. I suspect most of those complaining have never even driven the car, and those that have are short journalists who spend five minutes in the car and don't realize you can raise the seat. I've driven one and had no issues.
+Rogue Warrior The 2016 interior has been completely redesigned. A pillars are thinner and the dash is lower for better sight lines. Gauges are all now readable. Headroom is also improved. I'm 6'7" tall and can now fit in the car with a helmet (no sunroof of course).
+Nigel White I'm 6'3" there is no way I would fit with a helmet. Even without the sunroof. Perhaps your height is through your legs. The good thing is I do fit... But just barely. It's great that at least it's workable, unlike the new Corvette which I don't fit at all. The new Corvette makes no sense, being big on the outside and useless room inside unless you are under 5'10".
I'm a Mustang guy through and through.. I do not like the styling of this car, I don't think it's bad I just don't particularly like it, however.. performance wise, Chevy really knocked it out of the park. Great car.. and I'm glad it's a great car, now Ford has to counter and hopefully we get a better Mustang Lol.
the supercharger is added to the the motor not part of it. It's an LT4 which is what the the new corvette uses. The the new z06 has the the LT4 with a supercharger added!
+Thomas Gardner I know, the guy close to the beginning of the review (not where they show the specs.) says it's an LT4, which is wrong. what point are you trying to make?

KSTA Gaming I'm also 6'4 and I feel that I would have a hard time fitting in the Camaro unfortunately
Ruben Sanchez don't need good visibility when you are ahead
Ruben Sanchez I'm about the same height, and I'm pretty fat too, and I fit in it fine. plenty of leg room. my cousin is 6'8" and he loves driving it as well.
Love the front of the Camaro.
Love the back of a Mustang.
Had the 2016 V6 Camaro as a rental once, was a blast to drive. I like the interior of the Mustang better though! Hope to get one of these one day.
quad exhaust is not standard on the ss
Great review I always like the in depth style you have my friend. Keep up the good work and i look forward to more content as I go through my car searching process.
did anyone else notice he blurred out him going 100mph at 18:57 lol
lol why?
Sk8Gaming88 idk maybe so cops cant prove hes speeding because im 90% sure hes over 150mph
AnnaNicolesDeathbed oh my bad
@@RaviPatel0223 he wasn’t over 110
Sofyan, keep up the good work. I love your reviews.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it have an LT1 instead of the LT4?
+BioSargee Yes, you are correct. The LT4 is the motor in the Corvette Z06, our mistake. That is notated in the engine scene for the review :)
+Redline Reviews And the motor in the upcoming 2017 Camaro ZL1! :D
+Redline Reviews I bet the 2017 Camaro ZL1 will make you shoot in your pants, cant wait for that review
+Redline Reviews you mentioned the performance exhaust adds power. But for the Camaro it does not.
The new 2019 and 2020 have the LT1 V8
Good review. You are a fast talker but that's not really a bad thing. You hit all the key points in a short review, good job
3:41 "It's about an inch slower..." 😂😂
First Time ever seen this guy smile and act like this enjoying the ride
Mustang needs this engine.
Nahhhh
+Motley Crue Rather, Mustang needs that exhaust
+Motley Crue Mustang needs something that will prevent people from wanting to do LS swaps on them lol
S Alex Coyote is a fine motor, but its only 302 c.i......needs to be bigger, the lack of torque is the problem.
+Motley Crue Can't they tune engines for torque?
Love that color and wheel combo
Chevy needs to improve visibility in the 7th generation Camaro SS
Currently my favorite redesign of the redesigned redesigns. 😂😂😂
I love the blurring of the Spedometer. Any hint as to what you topped that thing out at?
+Cody W Let's just say I had to censor it because it wasn't appropriate for TH-cam ;) . It wanted to keep pulling, but I HAD to let off or risk being thrown in jail lol
-Sofyan
+Redline Reviews Bet you have never been so happy to shut those cameras off after filming lol. Nothing to blur out then! Another great video...keep it up!
I’ll come back when I get one
Love everything about this car minus the tail lights
imo the headlights and grill are ugly af.
thats all i see in my rear view mirror soz
17camaroSS i drive a dodge tho
hate the tail lights should of kept the half moons
I love how when you said something about 4th gens, you showed pics and videos of 3rd gen Irocs
The challenger is the only car in the class that still reminds people of a muscle car. Camero and mustang went into more of a sports car area. So when I think of muscle cars now, I think of a challenger... Not a Camero or mustang
Yep lol
+Michael James oh don't get me wrong they are great cars but they kinda went a more sporty direction than the challenger did
agre
This right here is my dream car. All blacked out, Manual Transmission and upgraded exhaust for the crackle. I will die in peace once I get it.
It was an excellent review but I was really let down when you did not test the auto in the manual mode (with the paddles) to show the shift speeds that way.
I'm a former mustang owner now a challenger owner the Camaros always looked good to me but the corvette C6 or C7 which I want is the best looking modern car to date.
i love the tail lights wth!!!
Excellent review! Love the reaction when driving for the first time. Keep the reviews coming.
Seems to me like the Challenger is comfort cruiser focused, Camaro is track and performance focused, and the Mustang falls somewhere in the middle : )
But the GT350 is better on track and daily driver compared to Camaro, from what I've heard
Caleb Whitted
Well, this is the SS. Which I would compare to the Mustang GT.. The GT350 would be better compared to whatever high-po Camaro version Chevy drops.. ZL1 or Z/28
+bliglum true, than yeah. What you said is true.
Does it? Where'd you hear that from?
AllyourBaseArebelongToUs
bliglum Mustang forums.
Ford didn't offer any coolers for the brakes, oil, or steering.
as a fix, the base gt350 will offer those coolers in next year's model.
As soon as he floored it, that speed blew me away 😨😨😨
Love the new Camaro, only thing is the visibility is absolute garbage
+Jacob Rolls This is so overblown. I suspect most of those complaining have never even driven the car, and those that have are short journalists who spend five minutes in the car and don't realize you can raise the seat. I've driven one and had no issues.
+Nigel White TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH BRO 🙏🏽💯
+Jacob Rolls always been garbage...my head always hit the ceiling and i could only see 20mph and 140mph on the speedo haha
I'm getting this car next year!!
I would love to work for Redline Reviews someday haha
I'm a Mustang guy through and through.. I do not like the styling of this car, I don't think it's bad I just don't particularly like it, however.. performance wise, Chevy really knocked it out of the park. Great car.. and I'm glad it's a great car, now Ford has to counter and hopefully we get a better Mustang Lol.
I believe you meant the LT1. the LT4 is of course the supercharged engine.
the supercharger is added to the the motor not part of it. It's an LT4 which is what the the new corvette uses. The the new z06 has the the LT4 with a supercharger added!
+Thomas Gardner I know, the guy close to the beginning of the review (not where they show the specs.) says it's an LT4, which is wrong. what point are you trying to make?
+Thomas Gardner Its an LT1 Stupid.
