      haha amazing! And with good reason... in my original sketch the tree actually got struck by the lightning.

    Add a cell shader and you have an epic intro to an epic anime.
    Amazing work!

    This projects looks FANTASTIC. Good idea to bring so many different skills into it. The Houdini/Unreal combo is great. Cool man, really cool. Even the lightning... Congrats!

    For a rock fall of 400m, you can count 9 seconds. And it is with zero initial velocity. A my opinion you can go up to 12 seconds for a realistic size effect.
    Great video.

    Really cool, is this just some sort of billboard particle rendered out from Houdini? I'm curious how this whole process is done, very cool results.

    • @PeterBowlesify
      @PeterBowlesify  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the main pyro is all flipbook ya with passes for lighting, normals, depth, and emission so that I can tweak them all in Unreal. Then lots of little add on effects made in niagara, but using source particles from houdini as well. I wrote an article about how i did it, almost done but I got busy. I'll post on here when it's done!

    Awesome work !!
    Could you do please a tutorial on how to import the Houdini simulations in UE5?
    Thank you for the inspiration!

      Thanks! I'd love to as soon as I have time! Which type of simulation in particular? It varies for different simulations. For smoke and pyro stuff check out the Labs flipbook textures node. Here's a link to a tutorial on it: th-cam.com/video/kMI-Wro3p9g/w-d-xo.html

      A big Thank you for you reply !!
      Yes it was for the smoke simulation but im also planning to create a plant/tree grow simulation as Well. Have you an idea of a tuto on it?
      Have a great day sir and keep going the visual adventure! Its great!

    Really good looking! May I ask how you achieved the lightning strike effects? Is it a buyable asset?

    • @PeterBowlesify
      @PeterBowlesify  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sorry late reply on this! I made the lightning in houdini and then I rendered it as a lighting pass on the smoke plume itself. Unfortunately it's not an asset, but maybe I should make one!

    Superb volcano scene mate! You showcase some great skill there - are you selling this UE scene by any means? I would like to render some more camera angles and shots out of it for usage in a documentary about volcanos... Our team is about to kitbash a volcano scene out of Marketplace assets, but your art-direction on the scene is exactly what I was aiming for (funny enough!) - Both thumps up anyways.

    Hi Peter, awesome work!
    I just want to inform you that you have a typo in the artstation link!
    There is an "a" too much - links to 404 page not found!
    Keep it up, subbed :)
