I believe when you set the or change the temp the auto kicks off. I never had an issue with my temperature controls. If you watch my 'review' video on my RX it might help a little? :)
@@RevLexus Ya, and that's the problem is "set the temp." No way to "turn on the heater" or "turn on the a/c." The Lexus is worth £2750 I’d say. It has 17 main dealer stamps in the book and is immaculate. Matching Bridgestone tyres all round. It has been very reliable really. It’s had a cambelt, an aftermarket ‘Nissens’ radiator, and a power steering pump recently. They were all ok but had tiny leaks. The repair wasn’t essential but got it done anyway. It’s had new discs and pads too. I didn’t get any of the jobs done by the main dealer. Too expensive. The main dealer did replace the air con condenser for us which was a bit dear but in the end they did us such a good price we bit the bullet. They are cheaper to buy on eBay but in that instance we haggled and got a deal off them. They also do a reduced service cost and inspection service and full check which is by far the best customer service I’ve experienced. I won’t sell it. It was a big job swapping over the cassette unit for the new Pioneer unit. Lots of work involved. Because the sat NAV is interlinked. But in the end with new leads and fettling and sweat and tears we got everything working. The steering controls work too. All new tweeters and mid range speakers, a subwoofer under the boot where the jack was kept and an 8 channel Audison amplifier to replace the Marc Levison one. So the car is in the modern world now. One weird thing keeps happening. Suddenly I can’t operate the other windows from the drivers side. I googled it. You have to go to the other windows and put them down and up again. Then the drivers buttons work again! Weird that is. It has happened a few times.
@@wilfy7744 Check your battery connections to be certain they aren't loose. The window controls have to be reset every time the battery gets disconnected.
@@heeaach once you’ve adjusted the steering wheel how you like it, hold the set button on the drivers door and then hit the number setting you would like to keep it on either 1 or 2. It also memorizes the seat position. As soon as you unlock it press either 1 or 2 and the seat and steering wheel will go to your preferred setting. You can’t stop it from retracting back into the dash, it’s a design feature to give you easier access in and out. Hope this helps.
It recoils to create extra room for entry and exit from the driver's seat. If you set and save the default position of the steering wheel to be the final recoil position, then it won't adjust again.

Driving from San Francisco to LA. I figured since I’m gonna be in a car for 12 hours round trip I should see if there are any easter eggs. WOW! My mom bought this car new and she didn’t know about the cup holder on the drivers side! She had no idea the console slides up! My mom is 4’11”. I dunno what that is in the normal world but it converts to VERY SHORT. Toyota caters to a more petite sophisticate being Japanese. Having the console slid all the way up really fits her well.
@@wilfy7744 Aww mine was a 2004 SE spec, air suspension is comfortable for sure! Unusual window problem you had for sure
@@wilfy7744 Check your battery connections to be certain they aren't loose. The window controls have to be reset every time the battery gets disconnected.

Hello, Does anyone know how to stop the auto tilt of the power steering wheel after I take the key out of the ignition???
I don't sorry. Why do you want it to stop out of curiousity?
@@RevLexus I just do not like it keep moving in and out. And also it may get broken one day and stuck inside.....
@@heeaach 😅. Na it won’t.

Sounds like the wrong remote was programed to your car.
do you know if there’s a way to connect an aux cord to it and where to put it? I bought a used car and the bluetooth is a little off so I want to play music on the six but don’t know where to put it
my car was too old for aux
Buy a transmitter … I’ve got an 08 Lexus so no Bluetooth but the transmitter works great. Just Bluetooth to that
Super awesome video
Great video on the RX
Nice review!
I am curious that can we lay the first seat back and make the bench like that with newer generation like 2017-2020?
I'd need to try it next time im in one hehe
Cool stuff. Thanks for these tips. I just bought a used 2008 RX350 and really enjoying it. Can you tell me what the light button thing above the gear shifter and next to the seat warmer controls does?
The headlight washer?
@@RevLexus I don't think so...
@@braincrisp1 no it is a headlight washer. Its weird!!
Hey! Do u know if im able to pair my phone with my 2008 rx350?? I don’t even know if there’s an aux input
@@Andgee6 Hi Angelina, there is no aux output, however you can purchase a bluetooth transmitter that you plug into the cigarette lighter, then use it to pair your phone via a radio station. For about $15 I purchased one on Amazon called IMDEN Bluetooth 5.0 FM Transmitter/Wireless Bluetooth FM Radio Adapter Music Player. Once installed it's super quick and easy to set up.
I think her seat is set the closest you can go so when I drive I have to move it back before I get in. The last thing I must thank you for: the fuking flat first class seats!?! Whaaa???? Game changer. You changed my life in a very insignificant way. You’re not fired.
thanks for watching
Awesome thank you! 👍

Hello,
How can I connect my phone to the 2006 rx400h car to stream the music from Spotify?
A FM transmitter that goes into your 12v outlet

Great video thanks, slowly working up to buying a lexus rx or ct and this was very helpful, cheers. Like the fact it was an older model though I think it would need to be hybrid. Like the height of the Rx and the economy of the ct. Got a higher vehicle just now and even with great economy I might find that hard to leave behind.
The CT is a great car, there are videos of my dads 2019 CT200h if you wish to see them on my channel? :)
The RX is a great option, what about the NX hybrid?
@@RevLexus ye I discovered them thanks that was great. Nx is probably a better balance however at 10k max budget doesnt make it in yet as an option. The facelift models do, mine was a 2004 and it didn't
You can buy a cassette to AUX cable. Or an FM Bluetooth transmitter.
