Thanks for the great video, I literally just got the DashSkin for my wife's RX last week and am going to install tomorrow, really uncanny timing for your video upload.
Depends on how faded your airbag cover is! We do sell aerosol dye that you can use to make it match the skin exactly if yours is very oxidized and chalky. The cover is made of ABS plastic.
Hello! All RX vehicles have an airbag there, it's just hidden. It destroys the vinyl of the dash when it deploys. If you look closely at your dash on the passenger side, you'll see SRS AIRBAG in small print indicating the airbag.
I installed the Dashskin on my 2008 Lexus RX 350 and I love it! But I have one problem. How do I get rid of the RTV adhesive smell? I installed it three and a half weeks ago. I have left the doors and windows open for days but the smell remains.
The silicone uses ambient humidity in the air to cure, so I'd recommend driving with the windows and sunroof open to let as much moist air into the car as possible to complete the cure. It will go away with time!
What silicon adhesive did you use? My box didn't have instructions and came with Instant Gasket Silicone that was gray, not clear like the product you're using. This video is so helpful. Thank you.
Sounds like that might be a Chinese knockoff, ours will always come with silicone and vehicle specific instructions! We use 100% silicone RTV adhesive but I couldn't be 100% sure what to recommend without knowing what material they make their skin out of.
@@DashSkin I thought I was buying your product off of Ebay for $30 cheaper than Amazon after reading the amazing reviews. Just so you know, the seller recommended this video for a "similar" product when I reached out to them about the gasket silicone instead of glue and no instructions. The description says it's made of ABS Plastic and states a "textured finish". I will try and research a good adhesive. Thank you for your reply. :)
It is recommended if you are looking for the most undetectable, factory-looking install. You run the risk of the silicone curing while the cover is not totally flush with the dash without them.
You can, we mostly try to steer customers away from using alcohol on the underside of the dash cover, as it can eat the paint off if it drips to the top side. Alcohol can be a pain to use though because it evaporates so quickly. Industrial degreaser is much easier and more effective we find.
@@DashSkin Hi, What is the name of the color code of the exact dash skin used in this video? I have the exact same color. Where do I find the color code in 2007 RX350 for Dashboard?

Make one in black for the 2009 is250 please🙏🏻
My 2006 RX400h doesn't have the cutout for the passenger side air bag. Is there a dash cover that does not have that hole?

@@DashSkin Good info, thanks. Was wondering about that. I'll be a customer soon.
Do you guys make them for the right hand drive lexus rx 350's?
No, I am not aware of anyone that does unfortunately.

Do you stock right hand drives ones to Australia
Do you have a cover piece for the airbag or do you leave it empty?
Due to safety reasons we do not make anything to cover the airbag!
