  • In today’s episode, we are going to take a look at Singaporean military industry. For more interesting insights, don’t go anywhere and stay tuned.
While it is evident that Singapore's Air Force is capable of substantial air-to-air combat, its main duty goes beyond protecting the national boundaries, as they also work to secure regional interests. Despite its small size, Singapore spent a lot of money on modernizing its defense equipment, demonstrating that it is capable of having the latest state-of-the-art technology for its military. According globalfirepower, Singapore ranked 40 out of 140 countries in terms of military strength report in 2021.

SINGAPORE is some kind of geopolitical tool of Anglo-Saxons, they support a small country to prevent other cointries in the region from becoming too powerful,
so country like SINGAPORE cant become great, if one day SINGAPORE tries to become the leader of an Asean Confederation, creating a united country able to compete with US,
Anglo-Saxons will take aways all their military aid,

The F35 order is meant for replacing F16, not F5Es. I believe the A4SUs have been decommissioned for some years already, possibly the F5Es too. The pilots flying those are already in their 40s and probably not in active service anymore.

If Singapore invade the Peninsula, well , they need to face both the 2 groups of military. This JMF exist way before the existence of ATM itself. Just a scenario. Peace no war.

Not bad for a defence system. It's true we do have the western and advanced technology compared to our neighbouring countries, BUT we lose in experience and tactics to others. Yes, we have soldiers going to Brunei and Afghanistan for supporting warfare but still not enough.
(To those who are going to reply comments with Singapore are better in ASEAN or neighbouring countries, Yes. But only in weapons and equipments. Why I said that is because that neighbouring countries is/may still having wars compared to ours. So far, our country only encountered minor terrorism attacks which the police handled. So if you're trying to say we are the best, nah... don't be biased and go for a research :) )

And compared to neighbouring countries? they do not have that much experience either way and to add to that, corruption and incompetency have resulted in them constantly having bad maintenance. If I were to pick a side, I'd rather be on the side where weapons and equipment are more advance and better managed. An 18-19 year old Himars operator could destroy an entire battalion of troops just by pushing a button. (Like how the Russians found out in Ukraine). Also please stop pretending to be Singaporean, everyone knows that you're a bodohland citizen.
And a not so little fun fact: Singapore have a robust domestic weapons manufacturing capability, its weapons are also been used in combat such as the bronco, matador, ultimax LMG not to mention most of the world's 40mm grenades are manufactured in Singapore as well.

Air superiority in the region is needed in case of threats coming from Malaysia or Indonesia, like what you said they do not have enough resources so they need to maintain a large and strong military force capable of an invasion attempt.

10 years ago, Malaysia has quietly shown Singapore over how weak it security was. Malaysia has slapped the Singapore armed forces in ways that caused it to come unstuck. The most dramatic was when Malaysia's Commandos invaded Singapore high security air missiles base in Bukit Batok overlooking the Straits of Johore and pasted Malaysian stamps on the missiles and replaced the Singapore flag on the Commanding officer's table with the Malaysian flag. Several Singapore officers resigned or were reassigned or demoted. This is based on true incident happened but was not formally published!
