@nguyencheyenne65 rumored? I don't do rumors, facts only. The fact is that the model Y juniper, although 400 miles of range will be an improvement, still lacks the short 3 minutes of downtimes for fueling and the 570 miles of range my Jaguar XJL delivers for me. A large, full-size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make for those of us who don't drive small little tiny compact cars. Paid off at 41K, I think I'll simply continue to leave more than well enough alone...

the improvements that I am looking for are 1) a heads-up display for speedo and navigation info, 2) much much better suspension with optional adjustable/adaptive air suspension, 3) smaller turning radius with optional rear wheel steering. as an option.

One feature that I look forward to is automatic interior mirror as opposed to manual adjusting of the inside mirror, and also allow it to be saved for each users profile
Another is to change the door knob, it's gets difficult sometimes to open the door, perhaps it can be done like the Landrover which automatically comes out and goes in when opened or locked

I only see the dual motor long range MY to give 378 miles at best and 360 miles maybe at worst. Still that is a great improvement. I would love to see 620 mile range. Maybe with a nuclear battery there would never be a reason to charge again! I have a '23 dual motor MYLR and I absolutely love it! It was manufactured in 12/22 and the FSD that I only leased a few times has improved greatly since then. I was given the supervised FSD for a month and it expires 23 November 24. I can't begin to say how much it has improved in just 2 short years. Not only that but the price has gone down by $7000! With the ever improving hardware and batteries I will be purchasing the dual motor LRMY simply for the longer range than the performance model. The 4.8 second 0-60 gets me out into traffic with ease. Before I would not have purchased the FSD but with the incredible improvements, my new order will include it. I drove from my house to a restaurant parking lot on FSD and then hit the self parking without touching anything but the brake in the parking lot to start the self parking. All the small spaces it had to navigate to the parking spot was done flawlessly. The parking lot was way in the back of this area that was loaded with other parking lots. As a retired pilot the MY is like going from a propeller plane to a jet. I am totally sold after two years of driving this incredible car.

@gvasilios70 400 miles of range is a significant improvement for a Tesla. Now on an over the road travel, how long do you have to sit around to charge? On my long-range travels, it takes me 3 minutes to get gas for a range of 570 miles. A large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make. Paid off at 41K. Yeah I'll keep my Jaguar XJL. Yeah gas costs more than charging but, money I have, time I don't. For all the sitting around you have to do, it better be cheap. Infact it should be free. For the short downtimes and long range, I think I'll simply leave more than well enough alone...

@carlsmith1118 thank you very much for the information but i won't take it. And I have time and appetite to wait while you hurry. XJL is a beautiful boat. It's not to my taste though. And the most miles I do in a day is 250. Whenever I'm covered.

@gvasilios70 lol!!! I eat too! infact my appetite is much bigger than yours. Difference is, you eat when your car needs to plug in. I just simply park. yep I like boats. if a boat is not your style then so what. I don't care. I don't do little tiny scooters so what that's me. My standards are far greater so I need a car that delivers, you don't so what. Tesla is perfect for you. But for me, Tesla needs to step up. So what and? You don't need something that delivers because you don't go far. Tesla's short and shitty range is perfect for you. I travel over 7,000 miles plus. With Tesla's short and shitty range, it just wouldn't work for me. So what and? So what's your point? I'm supposed to be just like you? Naaa, you see with my high standards, I'm not settling for anything less. You would. Now excuse me while I eat this big ass steak with vegetables 😋 then head down to Dallas. You take care and, good luck to you out there. Most of all be safe out there no matter what you drive.....

Do you know what its projected towing capacity will be? Any way to get a suggestion out to Tesla/Elon for it to be able to tow 6-7000lbs? This would make it a standout easier choice for people who might consider getting the soon to be released Rivian R2. Thx.

    • @adamtech999
      @adamtech999  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

The projected towing capacity for the Model Y Juniper has not yet been officially announced. Currently, the Model Y's towing capacity maxes out at around 3,500 lbs, so an increase to 6,000-7,000 lbs would be a significant upgrade. This could make it more competitive with models like the Rivian R2, which targets adventure and utility-focused buyers.
To suggest this directly to Tesla, you could try reaching out via Tesla's official forums, social media platforms, or submitting feedback through the Tesla app. Public demand often influences feature development, so sharing this idea with the EV community might also amplify the request!

@Shaukat283 yeah OK. Till then, I'll keep my Jaguar XJL. A large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make. 3 minutes of downtime, range 570 miles, paid off at 41K, a ride that feels almost as good as the Fleetwood and requires no excessive electricity from my personal power grid. More than a pleasure to drive. Comes in handy when traveling from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville, Florida, Dallas Texas, Kansas city Missouri, Johnson city Tennessee, Chicago Illinois just to mention my long range travels. From Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville Florida is 831 miles. With a Tesla, it doesn't matter how many times you stop for what ever reason, you have to stop 3 times to charge and sit each time for up to 40 minutes and that's if you don't have to wait for a charger to free up. My jaguar XJL, it doesn't matter how many times I stop for whatever reason, I only have to stop once to refuel. Takes me 3 minutes up and out. Takes me 11.5 to 12.5 hours to complete the trip. That's 13.5 to 14.5 hours or more by EV. See the only thing I have against EVs is that they simply just don't deliver right now, especially on over the road endeavors. When I'm not traveling, that 570 miles of range allows me to fuel up once every 4 to 6 weeks and from a quarter to half tank! For that I'll pay the 35 bucks. Money I have, time for sitting around I don't. Now if you think the next Tesla will be better, OK I'll sit back and wait and see. Till then I'm going to simply leave more than well enough alone.....

Imagine driving your Testla down to 10-15% charge, and with a full half-day of Southern California, Arizona, Texas, Hawaii, New Mexico, and/or Florida sunlight, it could recharge itself up to 85-90% without having to plug it in at all! 😮 THAT'S what I'm looking forward to, to where it's EV beneficial to live in a "sunshine" state!! I was just about to say something similar.
BYD is the world's fastest and most dominant player today and about to launch models below $10K.
They are also combating the sheer dependency on batteries as it is now showing up the EV market was a stepping stone to break away from fossil fuels, but it has created a bigger problem in disposal and insurance write-offs as they are too expensive to fix.

See i like a large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make. For those of us who don't drive small little compact cars, Tesla is not diverse enough to make something for us. And 400 miles of range is better but still doesn't match the 570 miles of range my car delivers. It's great to see Tesla finally beginning to make improvements. Now make a large full size luxury automobile for guys like me and you just might get another customer. Oh yeah and make charging a 3 minute task. The same as fueling...

Elon Musk and Tesla need to learn customer service from Jeff Bezos at Amazon.

be realistic, Tesla said Y model 2023 can do 530km which i drive from montreal with 90% i arrived just after the border in new york to plattsburg, ny its 1 hour 15 min i reach with 40%, so dont believe miliage its not true. Montreal - Miami 26 hours - i did it with 12 stops, older 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, tesla its around 21 stops its 2700 kms, so tesla y AWD long range every approx 225kms you must stop. Not real the miliage they advertise., Also be careful telsa has issue with tires, inner tire get finished fast 3-6 months. something is wrong with it. Dont believe 150W or 250 Most stationa will produce power charge around 40-80

Thanks for sharing your experience-real-world insights are super helpful. Advertised mileage often differs due to speed, terrain, and temperature, so it's understandable why your range felt lower. The tire wear issue is a known concern, often linked to alignment, and regular checks can help. Charging speeds also vary depending on station use, even if advertised at 150kW or 250kW. Your feedback is valuable for setting realistic expectations-thanks for sharing!

Chinese cars have indeed raised the bar in terms of comfort, with features like spacious interiors, advanced tech, and premium materials at competitive prices. Tesla, however, focuses more on minimalistic design and performance, which may not appeal to everyone seeking a more luxurious feel. It’s ultimately a matter of personal preference and priorities.
