@nguyencheyenne65 rumored? I don't do rumors, facts only. Before I would not have purchased the FSD but with the incredible improvements, my new order will include it. I drove from my house to a restaurant parking lot on FSD and then hit the self parking without touching anything but the brake in the parking lot to start the self parking. All the small spaces it had to navigate to the parking spot was done flawlessly. The parking lot was way in the back of this area that was loaded with other parking lots. I drive a Tesla model 3 Performance with FSD since 2019. I use it on highways 99% (can't drive without it anymore) but still dissapointed on smaller roads. Even does not function well on simple roundabouts and village 75degrees corners (all at lowest speed).
When I 1st got my MYP, with FSD, I had to find an address in an RV park. It was dark. Narrow dirt roads with no markings. I couldn't believe it could handle that. Much better than I could have done.
Would love to see a bit smaller Model Y for those of us who do not need that larger size. But need the SUV not a car. As well Apple Car Play and Sirius Radio.
The towing capacity of the Model Y Juniper hasn't been confirmed, but hardware upgrades could support a capacity in the range of 3,500 to 4,000 pounds, aligning with Tesla’s focus on utility.
I plan to upgrade my 2022 Y, into a 2025 Juniper, but I'd only get the Yolk Wheel if it as 'Steer-by-Wire'! Of the many things I'm desperate to get away from with my 2022 Y is the Sensor Interference with the ADDAS systems.
Tesla is expected to add at least a couple of new exterior color options or finishes for the Model Y Juniper, aiming to appeal to a broader range of customer preferences.
The redesigned dashboard and upgraded interior materials in the Model Y Juniper are expected to enhance comfort and aesthetics, creating a more premium and modern feel that may improve the overall driving experience.
Tesla’s latest suspension systems focus on adaptive features that adjust ride height and stiffness for better comfort and efficiency. Ventilated seats, available in some models, improve comfort by regulating temperature, a feature likely to continue evolving with new designs.
Do you know what its projected towing capacity will be? Any way to get a suggestion out to Tesla/Elon for it to be able to tow 6-7000lbs? This would make it a standout easier choice for people who might consider getting the soon to be released Rivian R2. Thx.
The projected towing capacity for the Model Y Juniper has not yet been officially announced. Currently, the Model Y's towing capacity maxes out at around 3,500 lbs, so an increase to 6,000-7,000 lbs would be a significant upgrade. This could make it more competitive with models like the Rivian R2, which targets adventure and utility-focused buyers. To suggest this directly to Tesla, you could try reaching out via Tesla's official forums, social media platforms, or submitting feedback through the Tesla app. Public demand often influences feature development, so sharing this idea with the EV community might also amplify the request!
If only the estimated mileage were real world mileage and not gross overestimate. Also a conventional interior would be nicer than the minimalistic approach. Nice front and rear design.
I've always wondered.....is it smarter to lease an EV than it is to own, considering the depreciation of the vehicle and the advancement of technology going in opposite directions? 🤔🤔🤔
@adamtech999 , I already own an ICE car that I am pleased with. It's a keeper, and I don't plan to part ways with it. I was just wondering if I wanted to add an EV to my car collection. Is it better to lease or to buy, considering the depreciation?

@Shaukat283 yeah OK. Till then, I'll keep my Jaguar XJL. More than a pleasure to drive. Comes in handy when traveling from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville, Florida, Dallas Texas, Kansas city Missouri, Johnson city Tennessee, Chicago Illinois just to mention my long range travels. From Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville Florida is 831 miles. With a Tesla, it doesn't matter how many times you stop for what ever reason, you have to stop 3 times to charge and sit each time for up to 40 minutes and that's if you don't have to wait for a charger to free up. My jaguar XJL, it doesn't matter how many times I stop for whatever reason, I only have to stop once to refuel. Takes me 3 minutes up and out. Takes me 11.5 to 12.5 hours to complete the trip. That's 13.5 to 14.5 hours or more by EV. See the only thing I have against EVs is that they simply just don't deliver right now, especially on over the road endeavors. When I'm not traveling, that 570 miles of range allows me to fuel up once every 4 to 6 weeks and from a quarter to half tank! For that I'll pay the 35 bucks. Money I have, time for sitting around I don't. Now if you think the next Tesla will be better, OK I'll sit back and wait and see. Till then I'm going to simply leave more than well enough alone.....
I personally would like to know when will A-L-L Testlas be able to solar charge themselves? Imagine driving your Testla down to 10-15% charge, and with a full half-day of Southern California, Arizona, Texas, Hawaii, New Mexico, and/or Florida sunlight, it could recharge itself up to 85-90% without having to plug it in at all! 😮 THAT'S what I'm looking forward to, to where it's EV beneficial to live in a "sunshine" state!! Forgive me, I'm an engineer myself....always thinking. 🤔
So big Chinese car manufacturers are coming out with new electric and hybrid car models every 18-24 month, outclassing Tesla ( and anyone else) in tech, build quality., performance, safety and price, while Tesla it's showing a mild refresh of a 4-6 years old model. For how long will Tesla be in business? Maybe another 2-4 years. Maybe less.
I was just about to say something similar. BYD is the world's fastest and most dominant player today and about to launch models below $10K. They are also combating the sheer dependency on batteries as it is now showing up the EV market was a stepping stone to break away from fossil fuels, but it has created a bigger problem in disposal and insurance write-offs as they are too expensive to fix. Watch this space Elon, BYD, a world leader in battery technology, knows that EV's are not the solution.
@@adamtech999 The safety test in China are at least as stringiest as the ones in EC and USA. So yes. Reliability is overall much better on electric cars.
Call me whenever the 2-motor Roadster Plaid, hardtop convertible coupe and/or sedan comes out. *THEN* , I'll be in the market! Get it to a 500-mile range, too!!
Enhanced safety systems in the Model Y Juniper could contribute to reduced insurance costs if insurers recognize these updates as lowering accident risk.

the situation is as follows - I have a 2022 model Y under a 3 year lease. I am counting the minutes for the lease to end on 2025 so I can return it. the car itself is ok....but I was locked in a monthly payment of almost 900 bucks a month. I know which vihicle I am NEVER EVER getting again. Elon Musk and Tesla need to learn customer service from Jeff Bezos at Amazon. 900 bucks a month for a vehicle that I can get now for 300 bucks.....so disapointing.
be realistic, Tesla said Y model 2023 can do 530km which i drive from montreal with 90% i arrived just after the border in new york to plattsburg, ny its 1 hour 15 min i reach with 40%, so dont believe miliage its not true. Montreal - Miami 26 hours - i did it with 12 stops, older 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, tesla its around 21 stops its 2700 kms, so tesla y AWD long range every approx 225kms you must stop. Not real the miliage they advertise., Also be careful telsa has issue with tires, inner tire get finished fast 3-6 months. something is wrong with it. Dont believe 150W or 250 Most stationa will produce power charge around 40-80
Thanks for sharing your experience-real-world insights are super helpful. Advertised mileage often differs due to speed, terrain, and temperature, so it's understandable why your range felt lower. The tire wear issue is a known concern, often linked to alignment, and regular checks can help. Charging speeds also vary depending on station use, even if advertised at 150kW or 250kW. Your feedback is valuable for setting realistic expectations-thanks for sharing!

Chinese cars have indeed raised the bar in terms of comfort, with features like spacious interiors, advanced tech, and premium materials at competitive prices. Tesla, however, focuses more on minimalistic design and performance, which may not appeal to everyone seeking a more luxurious feel. It’s ultimately a matter of personal preference and priorities.

thanks for your sharing
Yes I will be buying
So nice!
Watch this space Elon, BYD, a world leader in battery technology, knows that EV's are not the solution.
thanks for your comment
But what about safety and reliability? Do you have complete faith in BYD and Chinese car manufacturers?
I'm not buying a Chinese made vehicle. Nope
@@adamtech999 The safety test in China are at least as stringiest as the ones in EC and USA. So yes. Reliability is overall much better on electric cars.
aero is number one for me CD under 0.200 are a must .EXPENG Mona 0.194.

I only hope I live long enough to have a drive in one

Will the improved safety systems in the Model Y Juniper help reduce insurance costs for owners?
Enhanced safety systems in the Model Y Juniper could contribute to reduced insurance costs if insurers recognize these updates as lowering accident risk.
Im from Denmark, im waiting right now for the juniper to buy… have already sold my eos R32.
But i wrote a e-mail to tesla in Denmark, and the can not say when i can buy the new model y 😢😢😢
If it takes to long an not know when i can have a tesla juniper, i maby buy the Zeeker x7 instead..
Sorry for my spelling, i dont use translate. 🤢
Thanks for your great sharing. Sorry to say that there is really no information about Tesla Model Y Juniper in 2024
Yes
Yes
See i like a large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make. For those of us who don't drive small little compact cars, Tesla is not diverse enough to make something for us. And 400 miles of range is better but still doesn't match the 570 miles of range my car delivers. It's great to see Tesla finally beginning to make improvements. Now make a large full size luxury automobile for guys like me and you just might get another customer. Oh yeah and make charging a 3 minute task. The same as fueling...
Thanks for your sharing
@adamtech999 only sharing a fact....
I like it better incentives would help me
Glad you like it
I am planning to replace my 2011 Nissan LEAF with a new EV unfortunately EU TARIFFS have placed most EV,s beyond my Price range . The EXPENG MONA M)£ was my number one choice .. UNTIL tariffs were levied by thhe short sighted EU.
yes, what area do you live in
the situation is as follows - I have a 2022 model Y under a 3 year lease.
Thanks for your sharing!
Elon is an A-hole and it shows in his product
be realistic, Tesla said Y model 2023 can do 530km which i drive from montreal with 90% i arrived just after the border in new york to plattsburg, ny its 1 hour 15 min i reach with 40%, so dont believe miliage its not true.
I would pay $32,500 for it (assuming I get the $7,500 tax credit), so I think 40K is a fair price.
Yup $40K price point is fair enough
It is 49k now.
America voted for the tax credit to go away. Sorry.
i was going to buy one,but i dont like the owner of tesla,no way,i will go towards lucid,is a better car
Sad to hear that :( I think you should consider more about what car really suit you instead of thinking about brand owner
Lucid is going to cost you much more. Just saying.
Ty for that I am very well aware of what I like size wise. I have been in the Y and I just feel if there were a little smaller vehicle I would like it better. But glad you like your Y that’s awesome.
thanks for your comment
Tesla now uses BYD batteries? 😂
No. This battery technology has been developed and manufactured in GigaTexas, and discussed online for the past 3 years.
It's being discussed
@@sjddmd Same discussion as to when the Juniper will finally be launched? I have been waiting for 2 years and gave up.
Coming out 2025!! Ive owned 3 different Teslas since 2020 and would Never go back to ICE.@henkvaneldik1976

What about Aluminum ion graphene battery tech??? One day you say 4680 , then graphene. Ask Tesla dealers. Clueless . What is the Truth?

What would you like to know more about?
Muskla MAGA Mobile
It will only cost £100,000
I'll take two.
Very bad update. Very bad car
why do you think it's bad?
Chinese cars comfort is way ahead of this.
Will Tesla be offering any new driver assistance features beyond the current Autopilot and FSD capabilities?
Tesla may introduce new driver assistance refinements, though there’s no confirmation yet beyond the current Autopilot and Full Self-Driving suite.
