Seeing Jim opened my eyes about what was possible. It opened my eyes about what I can do, too, and I'm so thankful for your channel and the time you've spent with Jim. Thank you!
People who complain about Jim videos are insane. And literally do not see the value in growing food, so it really perplexes me why they are here in the first place! Id be perfectly delighted with daily Jim videos! I watch the old ones multiple times a week!
Only one complaint about him out of thousands. There will always be negative comments. Just ignore it. We all know whenever Jim is on the video we can learn so much from him. The number of viewers don't lie
Livin the dream. I'm moving mountains so I can do this myself. Food security for myself, for my community, and showing them how to do it themselves in their own yards; It's all I want in the world. Thank you for showing that it's possible.
Very true, I started out when I was 18 and 2 years later I got my back broken. Then when I recovered I went into gardening full time. It's those like Jim a Pete that inspire those who are looking for a new passion or calling that will make things better for them and the community. I am now 27 and have been gardening 9-10 years now. I'm hoping to get bigger and expand more in the future.
Similar story for me. I had a big deal surgery on my spinal cord with a super long recovery. Once I was up and around, I threw myself head first into growing. It's been 6 years now and I'm still full steam ahead. Even bought a camper & did work-trading on a couple farms for a year. I'm 40 and for the first time in my life I finally feel like I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. Good luck to you in the coming season, and happy growing!
As mentioned once before, Jim touts natural soil fertility, formed by micro-organisms that you constantly feed with cover crops, etc....which then becomes your fertilizer. As Gabe Brown touts in his classic "Dirt to Soil," etc. Jim is so correct...
I love the Jim videos; it’s very kind of him to share his wisdom with the world. Thank you for sharing his information in your videos and broadening the reach of his voice. As the saying goes “haters gonna hate” so keep ignoring the naysayers complaining about awesome content. This is a great video; keep them coming, please…
You're so right Pete, people do need to be; taught, trained, and encouraged to try, try, & try again, at any age. Grocery store produce is just not good enough, we've got to have alternatives, and for that to happen, skills must be passed on. Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos!
I love it when you visit Jim. I just love hearing his thoughts and the conclusions he comes up with, based on his own experience. he is a fountain of knowledge.
It's a part of creations built-in good things, tho. These tough, vigorous weeds. They're there to keep the soil covered, to repair and heal when it's been damaged in some way, or in tough/extreme conditions. It's difficult, when that's where your home is, for sure ! But just sayin', I've learned to view these weeds with appreciation for they're designed use, even when they're in my way and when I don't understand why they're still such an issue, when I seem to be successfully reducing they're reasons to be there ( things I've learned from Geoff Lawton and others, about why they're there and taking over and what to do about it etc. and what to watch out for/know - I really recommend Geoff's videos on weeds ).
I drive by the house at least once a week and go fishing down on the river there I'm always interested in what he's got growing on. Very nice fellow gave me some good advice on sweet potatoes thank you
I love the videos at Jim's. I think the first video I watched on your channel involved Him. If I didn't live in California I would have been out to volunteer. You guys are great!
This guy gets more done in a morning than I do in a month, lol. He's not Human ............. he's a machine !!! Definitely rockin it in the Green World, woo hooo !!! 😎👍👉💥🛎🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱❤👍

Thank you for all your videos and highlighting Jim. He is a plethora of knowledge. Jim amazes me all what he does for his age. Inspiring! I have a large vegetable garden and grow food for my family - alot of it to eat, but I work 3 days a week as a teacher. After this Covid stuff, I might just enjoy growing full time and selling. I would probably make more money!
Thank you so much for all these videos, I've enjoyed watching the journey this year! He is a amazing gardener, but you showcase it so well with your videography! You both are awesome!
I enjoy your videos, I especially enjoy the ones with Jim in it. I like his thought process and approach to gardening/ farming. You both have had a positive impact on me. Actually, I follow you because of the Jim videos. I live in Washington state & grow in a suburban homestead. Florida landscaping doesn't apply to me much but urban farming and the climate in Maine does. Variety is great!
I love when you feature Jim, I learn so much. Now I want to try soil blocks. I have about 4000 Sq ft fruit forest in the city of Tampa. This year planting some vegetables under the canopies.

It's a part of creations built-in good things, tho. These tough, vigorous weeds. @@ajb.822 I took the word weed out of my vocabulary because most are really medicines and natures way of building. Amazing really.....
I drive by the house at least once a week and go fishing down on the river there I'm always interested in what he's got growing on. Very nice fellow gave me some good advice on sweet potatoes thank you
