Jim, you will be missed! Thankfully your legacy lives on! We wish you well as a full time resident of Maine! Thank you Pete for introducing us to such an inspiration!
The north country is blessed to have Jim here! I wish Pete would come up occasionally so Jim could teach us how best to garden here. I came back home from Florida a few years ago, still haven't quite got the gardening down - wish I had had more time with my gardening elders back in the day. Jim has the same wisdom they had, very few people still do.
Dear brother Jim, Thank you so much for sharing your gardening journey with us. All from your warm, loving heart. You have been such an inspiration ! Hopefully, Pete will come and visit you in Maine once in a while. This way we will get to see and hear you again. A big thank you to you too, Pete, for making this possible !
Gonna to miss you Jim. You changed my life and perspective on my small and now very productive plot. Thank you for sharing your life's passion with us!
Crap maaaan….. Got choked up a little. Been watching you and Jim for years. Like saying goodbye to a very very close friend that moving away and don’t know when we’ll see eachother again. Time flies. Especially when we were spoiled with all this content, information, etc. from Jim and yourself Pete. Talk about a blessing. I am truly GRATEFUL for you guys. I mean that. Truly and humbly thank you guys. From all the way in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Big Island of Hawaii. All the best Mr. Jim Kovaleski. Much love, aloha and tons of respect. All the best to you, Tanner and Pete!! Aloha brothers🤙🏼🙏🏼❤️✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
Beautifully said! Jim has touched so many lives, he is one in a million. I will be forever grateful to Pete and his crew for the videos, it was such a blessing that Jim chose to share his wisdom with us.
Appreciate you taking us along for the journey Pete! And for Jim, thanks for all the tips, tricks and terrestrial tales! Have fun playing in the dirt up there.
Thanks Jim ! I have enjoyed your videos over the last few years as I am a aging Florida boy of 71 years from Okeechobee to Merritt Island Fla have been a die hard organic gardener since 1962 in Brevard County . Good luck in your new home in Maine ! Happy Trails brother !😂❤
It has been such a blessing that Jim chose to share a bit of his journey with us. Very few gardeners are so in tune with the earth and her needs, he is beyond a master gardener, and an extraordinary human. I'm selfishly gutted that this is the last video of Jim in Florida, desperately hoping that there might be a future video from Maine. 🥹🙏🥲 Well done Jim! Thank you for everything 💖🪷💖
Thanks for featuring Jim. I learned so much from these videos packed with practical growing enthusiasm! The fruits (and veggies) of his labor are the evidence of his success! Best wishes for the next chapters for both farms, Maine and Florida. Grow On!
😭 I've learned so much from Jim over the years I've been watching your videos. Thank you both for all of your work and for sharing this knowledge with so many!
Thank you, Pete, for introducing us to Jim. Jim has certainly been an inspiration for all suburbanites. He demonstrated that owning a small plot of land is a treasure-trove for growing your own sustainable garden. No excuses! Goodbye, Jim, and I wish you and your family the best while living in beautiful Maine.
😢 definitely miss the Jim content from here on out but I know Pete will make it to Maine eventually!! Thank you for all the knowledge Jim and Pete. I’ve enjoyed seeing what’s growing on since the beginning ❤
Thank You All! Have always come away with a few tips and a HUGE smile after watching these videos Thanks for being an inspiration to your community Jim. Spread the Love, Sow the future!
The videos with Jim have been more than inspirational. My front yard was grass and is now a garden(7 50 foot beds). Two of my neighbors have done the same. My daughter and I have a small farm stand on the side of the road. Thank you for everything, Eric in Rhode Island
Pete, your reverent friendship with Jim has always produced such special educational videos, which I've always enjoyed. You're both so unique in your own wonderful niches. If by chance the future holds additional videos with Jim re-visiting Florida, or you visiting Jim in Maine, I would very much look forward to seeing those, as well as any videos of Tanner's ventures settling into his own niche. Thank you so much for always pressing forward, teaching as you go. It's so valuable!!!
Gosh, I hope it's possible for Pete to visit Jim and make a video or two about how Jim gardens in the north country! It would be lovely to see more of Tanner too, it's not easy to follow in the footsteps of such a legend as Jim!
Jim is an amazing person, a very knowledgeable gardener, is definitely going to be missed, brother❤ and I'm going to say it. and as far as Tanner, he definitely needs to listen to Jim. His wisdom and knowledge is priceless ❤
Thanks Jim for the memories and for sharing all your knowledge with us. I hope we can still get updates on the farm and Jim's new place. Best of luck to you both Jim and Tanner.
Thanks Jim for all the knowledge and Pete and crew for the videos. Those old ones with the James Forest songs from 4-5 years ago I watched so many times while I was figuring out my farm. Take care everyone and live the good life.
Jim, we have learned so much from you. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge. We will always remember that a gardener’s best tool is his shadow. Best wishes to you in Maine.
Pete, thanks for sharing Jim's knowledge with all of us! I have a small SHADY lot in an HOA community, so it has been challenging growing food. BUT I started helping at the middle school across from my home with the Future farmers of America program. We have planted a few fruit trees, improved a pollinator bed, yucca, sweet potatoes and even have watermelon growing this summer. Thanks for being so encouraging!
Many blessings to Pete, Jim, and now Tanner. So much gleaned over the years and hope you are able to check in with Tanner from time to time Pete to see what else he's incorporated to make the grounds even more abundant!
Florida's loss is Maine's gain. Thank you Jim, for sharing your passion and knowledge with us. You sure made your mark in Florida, and your legacy here lives on. You'll always have a place in Florida, in our hearts, and in our homestead if you decide to visit Florida in the future.
Thank you Pete for capturing Jim and his talents. I first found you through the Great American Farm Tour as I am a follower and supporter of Justin & Rebekka. I have since enjoyed your videos, specially ones with Jim. I hope Jim knows how inspiring he is for all of us gardeners and to see and learn, you can plant a garden anywhere. May God continue to bless you in this next chapter in your life.
Morel mushroom pickers might solve Tanners drying problem. Cya Jim, you've been a gem in the learn to grow without water, using weeds for mulch & moisture. & the layout in the gardens is spectacular. Love how you've all maximised the crop area & minimised the walkways. ❤❤❤ Have prosperous travels to you Jim❤
Learned a lot from jim! Got me scything...and i love soil blocks! Appreciate you bring us updates over the years. Best of luck to both Jim and Tanner! Looking forward to updates on their solo projects although theres something to be said about the way their energies play off each other! And the knowledge that gets kicked around between the three of you!
Pete, these videos of Jim inspired me to start vegetable gardening. So thanks and best of luck to both of you! I hope you continue to share Tanner’s journey ‘cause I need my Fla gardening fix.
Pete and Jim thank you so much for putting out these videos throughout the years. I've enjoyed watching them and learned a lot eventhough your climate is so different from where I live in the Netherlands. Hopefully Pete can visit Jim in Maine once in a while!
Yes, Jim is an extraordinary gardener as well as an extraordinary human. We have been very lucky he chose to share so much of his gardening wisdom with us!
Wow. Watching Jim drive away in Big Red gave me goosebumps. Wishing Jim all the best in Maine. I hope you continue to follow Tanner on his journey. Jim and his farm has been a huge inspiration for me, I’ll miss him! Maybe you can coach him to start his own TH-cam channel from Maine. ❤❤❤❤
Oh, that would be a dream come true! But creating and maintaining a TH-cam channel is a lot of frustrating technical work. Jim is a man of the earth, and walks a very different path. Now if Pete were to visit Maine once or twice a season - that would be awesome! I am holding on to the hope that that dream comes true.💖🙏💖
Is he still planning on growing in ME? I'm going to miss the non-row planting. We use a tractor, so everything is in rows, but there is something magical about non straight lines and inter plantings in a veggie garden that I envy. Great last shot in the truck. Good luck to Tanner. I never know whether to encourage young folks to go into farming, or run the other way.
Wow! We caught a glimpse of the senseis passing wisdom down to Tanner on the art of grafting. All joking aside you guys are great and should think about a podcast with all three of you. Jim you will be missed. Looking forward to seeing a tour of the farm up north and the transition of the Florida place with Tanner.
That's amazing!! Can you please add a link for the hand scythe? I looked everywhere online and could not find it. Thanks for the info and for sharing with us!!
Man i live nearby. I pass by his house on accident and it was always a treat to go by. Never knocked on his house to talk to him. But now I kinda wish I did. Newport richey will be losing a gem to the town.
Happy days in Maine 🎉. Don't forget to get a Down Jacket. Don't want the Floridian to🥶! I've enjoyed your knowledge over the years🤗. Will Jim continue to farm in Maine? JO JO IN VT 💞
