Yes it would take years, but you'd be surprised at how much progress you can make in just one year! I've been working out irregularly since Feb and my body looks so different! I don't do it every week and I only work out for 35 mins or so. You can do it!

My friend is one of them her whole family is overweight not because they are lazy far from it they are very active plus eating healthy food because they are also diabetic by family blood and not because they eat to much of anything that would cause it they were all and also my friend was born with it. ive heard that too, smth about exercises like that work the obliques, which can make ur hip wider. that’s what i heard, don’t know if that’s completely true or not
it's true Russian twists focus on the obliques which is the side of your waist but I wouldn't say it makes your waist bigger, but if you want a "smaller waist" then i would recommend to do more exercises that focus only on ur upper and lower abs
I've been doing this but the 2 exercises where I'm facing the ground cause heartburn and pain swallowing food soon after. I've never had that kind of issue before. I have to eliminate them unfortunately. I added leg raises and just do more sets of the others.

Crunch-type movements - upper abs Leg raise-type movements - lower abs Twisting movements - obliques U can take a lot of different crunch/leg raise type exercises and just add a twisting motion to hit the obliques. Pick 1-2 exercises for each type of movement and that should cover your mid section. Planks and static holds are great for core strength but it won't do as good a job at actually growing your ab muscles. Then lastly if u want visible abs, you'll want to control your diet and get your body fat percentage low enough. Keep yourself at a caloric deficit and you'll lose body fat over time. Hope this helps someone out there, good luck 💪
