    What about the SBC pump, dont you have to disconnect?

    Great video. Very well detailed. My only concern is when the brake caliper (assembly) is hanging on it's hose. Mercedes manuals tells to "NEVER let your calipers hanging on it's hoses. Hoses can be damaged".
    Other than that it is a great video.

      The pads that were removed looked pretty good to me……I guess that’s how garages make their money doing unnecessary work….

    Should be made some notice about SBC system which aplies to pre-facelift (up to 2006) models, so people won't damage their cars. Otherwise good tutorial.

      Hi, I did it without deactivating SBC, after I finished, the red alarm goes in the dash, but after a while it desapairs. Do you thing I did damage my SBC?

    Don't worry about SBC when change front pads. Just close the car and hide your key so it won't accidentally turn on the presafe brake test.

      What do you mean by hide your key? Just put it inside or something while your doing it outside?

      You are still waaay better off at least depressurise the system with software as the brakes charge to 70bar which is alot of pressure, also hiding the key is great but you risk but you still run the risk and causing serious injury!
      SBC really does hate too he silenced 😂

    How to walk on a mine field. I assume sbc is dead on this car.
    Why the caliper hanging on the rubber tube?
    One word - SPECIALIST!

      We agree that this is a big mistake, and the caliper should be hung with a hook so as not to damage the brake hose, in the new videos we will definitely show it.

      @@autodocuk make announcement that the SBC is dangerous, has to be disabled in order to touch brakes. Somebody will watch your video and think that they can do it at home. After end up at hospital with missing fingers or something else.

    I have a W211 2009 E200 CDI, and my mechanic (former MB mechanic) told me people are destorying their SBC by pushing back the piston without having the tool to tell the car to release the pressure. ...... I myself do'no,... but that's what a experienced mechanic told me.

    leaves out the entire electronic aspect of brake control system and this will get you in trouble if you just follow shown!

      Actually if you do exactly as per video nothing bad will happen. Important you dont wake the car by opening the door or operating the keyfob. But they should have warned about deadly danger sbc presents.
