I re-watched & did what you said. It worked! Thank you SO much. I also got the rotor set screw out without having to drill it out. Any tips on getting the rotor off besides lots of PB Blaster, a sledgehammer, and adjusting the e-brake in? It turns, but is still stuck on.

Can't say that I can clearly figure what's keeping it on. Especially since I'm not a mechanic just a simple dude with some tools. . After the set screw came out, mine just fell off. It didn't take much of a wiggle.

@@dark3nough It came off about 10 min. ago. Sledge with 3' handle, scrap of wood & about 7 whacks. So far, so good.

Hi. Do you have to deactivate the SBC system before working on your brakes?

just disconnect the connector but you got to lock your doors and do not open until you’re done with the brake job and then just connect the connector back and then unlock your doors

What did you do after removing caliper bolts to get the caliper to slide off? U really didn't say, could only see the back of ur hand. Then u said something about liquid?

The bolts were taken off by a wrench. Then it was necessary to pry the brake open with a flat head screw driver, reversing the pressure of the brake line. The caliper was basically held on by pressure built up from pressing the brake .

@@dark3nough Thank you! I'm wanting to slide the caliper off the rotor to see what kind of e-brake damage occurred when I used lug bolts that were too long.
Caliper bolts are out, but caliber would only move up & down ~1/2 in. but not sideways. Now I know why & what to do. Much appreciation.
Then I will resume my battle w/the T-30 rotor set screw.

The rear rotor thickness is 15mm when new. The minimum thickness is 13mm. So you you feel a 1mm lip form on one side due to wear, it's time to replace the rotor.

White lithium is not a high temp grease. Completely wrong application. Decent brake pads should come with a high temp grease to apply to the correct spots.
