    Jose. Prayers brother! Have you considered using herbicides in early Spring to control the grass? I know if several when uses at the correct rate that would make your life much easier

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Andy, I have given that thought year after year. Thanks unfortunately there are few yards that I’ve been told not to spray herbicides, this being one. You are so correct on it making life easier 🤩 Those that I’ve sprayed before are so slick to maintain. Your the man!! Thanks for the great feedback!! Thanks for watching my man

    I know I read long time ago a lot of the trees and stuff went and sprout if the seed wasn't burnt so it's supposed to burn right

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My experience on burned territory is that the following spring you have amazing growth of new plants and flowers. This fire is massive and pray it comes to an end soon🙏🏼

    Can you explain ground and chicken wire why

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The chicken wire needs to be hooked on the your main earth(ground) rods or to your ground wire on your fence. The chicken wire is an almost for sure shock because of the bears bare paw. The problem with fencing without the grounded chicken wire on the perimeter is that the bears fur plays a factor in a non shock if or when he tries to breach the fence

      Brian! It’s tough man! We do our best to protecting our bees from every threat. We win some and it’s unfortunate when we lose some battles 😔 We take those lessons and become better at what we do. We trust God’s plan🙏🏼

    I was told that the oldest barn in CA 'was' on Zogg Mine rd up here in Shasta county. It survived the Carr fire (burned all around it) but sadly I think the Zogg fire got it so it's out of contention now anyway. It was built with square nails. I knew the guy that owned back in the 1970s.
    Let's hope this barn does not meet the same fate.

      It would of been awesome to of seen that barn you talk about. We love seeing them and love even more the history behind them. Thanks for sharing This Randy🙏🏼

    Wow that's crazy. We had everyone's rain in michigan all summer set records all summer just raining week after week. Made hard to make queens lucky to get 50 % return .. honey didn't go well but it's making up for it now. Putting on around 8 pounds a day what a flow. North part of the state did well on napweed.

      So sorry to hear you guys missed on some mating weather and early flows. Someone sure did some funky rain dances in Michigan 😆🤷🏻‍♂️ We would love some of that rain action out west 🙏🏼🌧. It’s great to hear some heavy flow is coming in! 8lbs a day🤩 Wow!! That sounds like some fun🙌🏼🍯
