Bruce, thanks for the great video about northcoast camping. Me and my friends go there on a fairly regular basis and love it....motorcycle camping. Loved it.
I was certainly hoping to see more of the northern Cal area. Started to get excited when you were at Trees of Mystery. Was hoping after Klamath you would have followed the scenic byway and stopped off at one of my wife and I's favorite places on earth, Fern Canyon. Glad you are enjoying trips in the teardrop.
My husband and I purchased the same teardrop in July 2020 and traveled from South Florida to Sherwood Oregon. It was a beautiful drive. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
Excellent video. Really enjoyed it and the country and small towns are always the best to me. I have a small trailer as well, Geo Pro 12SRK, 2019. The 12 means 12 feet long. Small trailers have it over the bigger ones as we can pull over and take on the sites where big trailers can't go. I live in northern Canada, snow at this time of year and I really miss the camping trip. It was so nice to see you out there and really appreciate you taking the time to video it and being a great tour guide. Thanks again and stay safe.
Very nice video. Subscribed. We have a Runaway Range Runner trailer and pull it with a Subaru Outback. Love it. We traveled throughout Oregon , Washington and Utah this past summer. It was challenging but we did it.
Awesome trip! Funny, l just got back on Apeil 10th 2020 from Mexico (Puerto Morelos) a fishing 40 miles south of Cancun where l go every year for 3 or 4 months. I'm retired. I already have an awesome Tiny Trailer but l go Overlanding and l need a rig with more ground clearance. Well l hope you see my post and give me a shout. Happy Bday Mr. Bushwacker.......Peace~
I love everything about this video! I moved to Oregon almost 4 years ago and have recently been thinking about a teardrop camper to take on adventures. You sold me on the idea! By the way, Happy Birthday..a few months late.:)
Thanks for sharing your travels...and happy belated birthday..from one lone adventurer to another. I'm currently looking for the right teardrop to adventure in so your video showed up in my feed. Glad it did! Safe travels.
Lower the air pressure on the trailer. Over inflated trailer tires causes the bouncing, additionally it appears you have off-road tires on it. These tires have thicker rubber to protect from sidewall punctures. Translate to stiffness as well. At high speeds it could cause whats refereed to as fish-tailing. If your tires are Goodyear Duratracs these tires are beefy! I have them on my 2021 GMC Canyon. I’m still experimenting with off-road air pressure reduction for smoother off road ride comfort.
There is at least one other state that won’t allow you to pump your own gas, New Jersey. Nice video we did a motorcycle trip in opposite direction in 2015 along much of your route.
Hello from our farm in New Hampshire! Great video! We just purchased a 2022 Bushwacker 15FK. What brand anti theft device did you buy? We have a smaller locking pin. Thanks. How is the camper performing for you? We are planning to head out for the same reason. It is a more comfortable way to do visit family and friends. We can boon dock on their property or stay at a near-by campground. And we can do day trips. A top priority would be to go to the 🌊ocean, order a take-out seafood dinner and enjoy it by the shore, watching sailboats ⛵
I enjoyed your video. I have been looking in to getting a teardrop and the drive down US-101 would be the dream. My mom lived in Rockaway in high school. Two years ago she took me on a trip down 101 from Seattle to San Fran. The Oregon coast has been my favorite trip. Your video made me feel like I was reliving that great trip.
Hi, l live in Oregon as well in Walterville across the McKenzie River. Our valley got decimated as well in Sept. 20. Our house was spared with no rhyme or reason but by the grace of God! Anyway l have been looking at these for about 6 months but could not find one due the COVID-19 the manufacturer couldn't supply them. I'm still looking however the price is pretty spendy for such a small rig. Where did you buy yours and how much was it?
I had to go to Reno as there were none available in Oregon. This is the first year for the Bushwacker production so most dealers only got 1 or 2 units. MSRP is $10K and with destination charges from the Indiana factory, my cost was $11K. Less expensive than most other teardrop campers if you consider all the standard items that are usually options on other brands. I will put up a video review of the Bushwacker next week.
@@bruceboyd6817 - l just bought one today but l have to pick up in Idaho. What year is yours? I just bought a teardrop 3 months ago and haven't even taken it out because of the fire hear l got evacuated. Anyway enclosed is my email so l can get yours and l will send you pics of the one l'm now going to sell. It a beauty for sure but l liked the Bushwacker because of the ground clearance. I would love to chat since l'm not picking mine until late next week and l have some questions. Here it is, enclose your phone number and I'll give you a jingle.....John John.miras09@gmail.com There's a dot between my first and last name in address. Cheers Bruce
This was a great video thank you, I just purchase basically the same teardrop trailer two days ago and of course are in the middle of storms right now I can’t go anywhere but I’m getting it ready, do you carry a small generator example for air conditioning in summer time or how does the fan system work do you need a generator to run the fan will the battery go dead?
I pulled out the A/C and use that area for a small 12volt video TV. I rarely camp with shore power and I don't use a generator- I don't like the noise. I carry extra 12 batteries and a battery charger. I'm going to get 100 watt solar power this year.
Nice video- that trip is on the top of my list! How was the insulation/ temperature at night? Maybe an odd question- but how did you handle / set up for a toilet ??? Did the campgrounds have bathrooms open?
Most small teardrops do not have toilets as there is limited space. I understand that is a deal breaker for some people. Restrooms were open in all the campgrounds.
Yes, I unhook the brake controller and I keep it in the suv, and I install an anti-theft locking ball device on the trailer hitch to deter it from being towed by another vehicle. They would need a sledgehammer to break the lock.
Enjoyed your video. I have been considering a teardrop. Probably will set up a clam quickset next to it to have my bathroom and work area. I live in Sonoma, CA. You are cute and interesting. Are you single? 😉
New Jersey says hello regarding the self service gas lol

I’m in the Eureka area. It’s always nice to see someone post a video on the area.

I was actually going to buy the same one but instead I ordered a Sunray 109👍😎
NJ is the same on self serve..
what is your engine size and max tow weight? im really interesting to get teardrop trailer someday.
I have a 2.5 liter 6 cylinder engine in my 4x4 suv. It is rated to tow 2000 lbs.
saw a bunch of cool things but didn't see much of the trailer in the video =(
I am working on a review of the teardrop camper. I’m hoping to have it posted in a few weeks.
Greetings, how did you secure your teardrop when leaving it alone & did you unhook the Curt brake controller & secure it also so not to be stolen ??
Yes, I unhook the brake controller and I keep it in the suv, and I install an anti-theft locking ball device on the trailer hitch to deter it from being towed by another vehicle. They would need a sledgehammer to break the lock.
All a thief has to do is hook up your safety chains.
New Jersey prohibits self fueling too.
NJ does not have self service gas serve either.
You are correct! I thought NJ converted to self service a few years ago.
How and where do you shower and stuff
I usually travel only a few days so I shower at my destination or I can use the water hose from my tank for a quick washing.
You can always tip your gas attendant!
I'm thinking of purchasing a Bushwacker. Do you think it could accommodate two people?
Yes. It is comfortable for 2 people with a full bed. I like that it has 2 doors so you don’t have to crawl over your partner.
Enjoyed your video. I have been considering a teardrop. Probably will set up a clam quickset next to it to have my bathroom and work area. I live in Sonoma, CA. You are cute and interesting. Are you single? 😉
NJ it is illegal to pump your own...as well.
They will tackle you...
That’s good a least they have a job
Now is the best time to travel, what do you mean 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Great video but get a sock for your microphone period really hard to figure out what you're saying
fort bragg is in NC not califorina
There is also a Fort Bragg in California. It is a small coastal city, unlike the military base of the same name in NC.
@@MySeniorMoments cool. you guys got those awesome views on the west coast
To much,road noise,man,
I agree. This was my first video so I’m learning how to reduce the ambient road noise.
