It’s funny how y’all’s role switched on the fern Canyon hike. It was Todd all gung ho saying we’re good etc. and Sheila had all the doubts. That was definitely a switch it up moment. Todd was encouraging Sheila this time. This is one of those top videos right next to it there’s no propane. And the crabs. Love you guys. Keep it up
Another fun one! Todd, you have been married long enought to know that anything you say can and will be used against you at some point Sheila's hiking math is hilarious!
Doing all the things. Great video. Have to admit it was nice to see Sheila having a toddler moment. My wife says I have many toddler moments, she, like Sheila has very few. Keeps the world in balance😅
Todd we never heard of Where the Red Fern Grows….had to look up the story…wow! Reading about the story brought tears to my eyes….can’t imagine how it felt watching the movie! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you to all who have served their country to ensure that freedom and democracy prevail. Our gratitude will never repay the sacrifice laid down by our armed forces and other U.S. government agencies who fought the good fight. Since 2001, over 6,800 gave their life and over 25,000 were injured. Of those, many came home with serious injuries including traumatic brain injury, severe burns, lost limbs, and blindness, among other injuries. They went to war. Not many can say that. God Bless America.
So Shrek is n9 longer a pavement princess 👸, adventure is the unexpected moments that occur while doing something else. I love the redwoods. The 101 from Seattle to the redwoods has always been one of my favorite rides.
Just a kudos on the musical creativity of your intro song. The verse is in 7/4 time - which itself is a "switch up" in modern music - then the chorus switches to 4/4 time. Nice work switchin' it up! :) We love your vids!
Funny to see the role reversal of you guys on the last hike. Todd leading the way and Sheila out of her comfort zone! Glad you took us along, it does seem to be a magical place!
Amazing trip, so glad you got to see fern canyon! Such a beautiful place. We camp just past where you were on Requa rd off 101 at Anglers Cove. They also have sites on the river but on the north side of it. Thanks for the wonderful video. Safe travels. Glad you got to visit this beautiful State.🤗
Laugh out loud, with love! at this video. Thank you and we hope to make it to that magical canyon someday....and we always have one bottle of water in the saddle bag...even if it is warm, it is wet. Switch it up baby 😃 Definitely one of our favorites! Thanks for bringing us along (glad you had enough gas and GoPro power!)
Yes, happy you guy's have come to the Redwoods. I don't think I'll ever move from Humboldt and always love coming back home from our travels. I hope you made some good memories. A warm fire on a cold winter night in the Redwood Forest is the best that life gets in my opinion. Yes, specifically when the fishing is good on the rivers. We drag our 21FT RV with a very large slide with our Tundra, off road and camp in spots that other can't. Having a small setup is almost a must in these mountains an State Parks in the Northern California area. Happy for you two... hope you had some fun. We enjoy watching all your adventures, Thank's again for sharing :) PS: last week Big Foot was seen going south down the Trinity River in the Weitchpec area... picking blackberries, note the dark purple simle:)
One of my favorite places on earth. I love Crescent City, CA and the Redwoods. Looking forward to being able to go on the road and take my Hubby there. He has never been to the Redwoods. It is so amazing how God could create a tree so massive from such a tiny seed. That huge stump you drove by, I have pictures of my 5 boys on it!! Oh, the memories coming back.
Your video made me smile...sounds like Mike and I on our adventures. But when you mentioned Brother Bear 🐻 I had to go out and take pic of Rut & Tuk whi have been traveling with us since the movie came out when our oldest grandson who is 20 was around 4. LOL Still smiling!! 🙂🙂
Oh regarding moose: There are lots of moose up in Canada and in GTNP. The furthest south they range is Utah's Wasatch Range, just east of SLC. I lived in Park City for 21 years and I have video of them in my yard, with calves relaxing on the grass and munching the landscaping. There was a program for a while where Utah traded moose for Colorado's big horn sheep because both places had so many, but not enough of the other! Seeing a moose hoisted by a helicopter is quite something. I am mentioning this in case your return trip before the Bryce huddle takes you by the Park City area. There are some really nice State Parks in the area that can accommodate Fiona!
What an adventure! I had to laugh. First Todd voices his concerns about hiking distance, then Sheila is voicing her concerns about no water (I'm with you on that one Sheila) and wet shoes. Still you got to see an absolutely incredible beautiful magical place. It was worth it! Love the Coastal Redwoods and you are going to LOVE the Oregon coast. There are jet boats at Gold Creek in the southern part of the coast. Pretty fun. I hope you did the sand dune buggy tour! This was such a fun vlog. Keep switching it up!
It is so funny watching y’all. So glad you had the camera running during the lunch break. It was so funny y’all interacting about that hike. Hilarious. At first my favorite thing was Todd jumping on the tree trampoline. Now it’s is the lunch time. It is healthy to laugh together. And y’all are so good together like that. Keep having fun and thanks for sharing it with us.
Great content, love the light hearted feel to your channel. I’m born and raised in NorCal Sacramento area, we have great weather here, not much to say for the people running our state. There’s so much to see here , it has some of the best mountain roads to ride with some of the most awesome scenery. Safe travels to the two of you.
The truck trying to squeeze through that tree, kinda was like another winnie the pooh moment don’t you think? 😂 And so beautiful the forest, but i thought yikes it be spooky as ever in the dark, then you go n ride through it in the dark with the gas tank light on 😳( gulp!)🍻
Love this area! You want to see a biggin’ tree? Go check out the GRANDFATHER TREE! They also have a tree log turned into a home, reminds me of an rv. Also the Jedidiah forest, another awesome hike in biggin trees! 😁 Great video.
Did I miss the kitchen organizing video mentioned last year? We are just trying to do what we can as weekend warriors. Please help us make it doable, simple and reachable. Till one day we can full time like y’all.
No Todd, it's not a pavement pounder. It's called a Pavement Princess. 😭😂🤣. Need to get Shrike out in some Nevada desert or out on a sand beach. But the best part is when you bury it up to the butt. And have four other trucks pull you out. Then you know Shriek has been off road. I have photos of our truck buried and three four wheel drives hooked up to get us out. Took a month to get all of the mud off. Good old day out mud doggen. Love Shiela throwing her tantrum 😭😂🤣. Muddy wet shoes, no water, no lunch. I see a steak and lobster for Shiela. Todd's in the dog 🏠. Safe travels and roads Brian and Cindy, "xtreambydesign with passion"
Too funny. I love seeing the Redwoods, can't wait to see it again next month. I think you need to go back though - a bunch of stuff you missed. Like Comment Subscribe!

33 states so far and no moose for us either. We’ve been to the upper peninsula of Michigan, to Maine, Glacier, Yellowstone, and no freakin moose. I think I’ll find Bigfoot first…or a unicorn.
Put Glass Beach in Fort Bragg on your list of things to see on your next trip along the California coast.

Best video ever! You two switched places, Todd being positive & Sheila complaining! Very entertaining!

I agree up in KC, Overland Park and all family dead and alive are still there. I find you refreshing and relatable. That KC dry sense of humor. Thnx!
Love the KC and OP connection! We love our roots but are finding so many great places out here on the road. Thanks for joining us on the journey!
Poor Sheila. I was laughing so hard....no water, wrong shoes, not according to plan. Haha! But it was worth switching it up!!
Absolutely beautiful!! We plan on going to the Red Woods in April 2023.

Lunch has never been more entertaining. That was so funny everyone knows you can't round up a hike 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right?!! You round down on a hike lol
I'm so happy you love it as much as I do. It just feels like home and comfort to be in them.
They were amazing --- so majestic!
This is where I grew up. Can’t wait for a visit soon, although it has changed some.
I’m sure your visit to fern canyon was the best since there was not many people. Thanks for sharing totally enjoyed!
Thanks for the shoe sacrifice, Sheila! That was amazing!!
Oh my goodness I absolutely love you guys!!
Real Life going to Beautiful places!!
Keeping it real! I love your videography

Loved the video, switching rules was so funny. Fern Canyon was beautiful. I love you go other places than the normal.
Be careful Todd! You never know if the tree will break all of a sudden! lol. Amazing tree!

Oregon is beautiful. Until Portland. But the coast and Crater Lake is gorgeous. The speed boat on the Rogue River is a must do.

thanks for watching Linda
Todd for the win - look at you all Switchin' It Up! Gorgeous hike. New shoes for Sheila.
Another awesome video. Thanks for sharing
I agree about the Portland thing! I’m a little nervous about being in that area, too! Hope to cross paths!
liked this video,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,wow those trees..................
Thanks for watching - yes those trees are amazing
Loved the video and the interactions between both of you. "Toddler" moments made us both laugh. Thanks again for sharing.

Did you know the redwoods grow in a circle. They intertwine their roots and thats what makes them so strong.
Well that’s a fun fact! Thanks for sharing
Hey, at 9:16 "Big Foot" is in the background {with beef jerky/pizza}...look, he is mooning you!,lol...the "moose" were back in northern Michigan!
Wow! Talk about the (wet) shoe being on the other foot! So hilarious to watch Sheila, rather than Todd! To funny! 🤣🤣🤣♥️
We love watching you guys!! 💖
Your camera work is so amazing!! Chuckled through most of it!!! I have definitely added this area to our list!
love the slow mo
Y’all never disappoint. From Todd’s hair to Shelia’s wet shoes always some good humor along the way. Thanks for the laughs😂😅🤣
You need to leave her now she does not respect your abilities or what you would like to see in your video leave her now
Captured some gorgeous footage! 👍🏻🖖🏻😘🙏🏻
Many thanks!
Never seen Todd so happy to go on a hike you guys are awesome. Hahaha
Dude Todd you’re hilarious 😂 about the mileage. Your poor wife just wants to hike 🤣🤣
loved that movie
What a great video! The hikes were phenomenal, walking in wet tennis shoes kinda sucks, but the beauty was worth it.
Seize the moment...even with wet shoes!
If you go to Coos Bay Oregon, stay at Oceanside RV Resort. Lots to do around that area.
Great vid! Safe travels!

Hey Polly thank you as always for doing all the things!
The redwood forest makes me think of the forest moon of Endor from Return of the Jedi. I kept waiting for an Ewok to come out and scare Todd.
Awesome, majestic trees. Looks like Ewok habitat.

Nice video. PS let it grow

Hurry Back, California has some great places to visit.
This was Sheila’s “tree crab” moment. A little less planning and a little more spontaneous fun. Lol
Don't miss the Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon/ Washington border. It is a beautiful place!
A real switch it up on this one…lol….Sheila may be needing on of those T-shirts, toddler
🤣
You know Where The Redfern Grows took place just south of your Kansas City home about 3 hours.
What?? Who knew!
Love this area! You want to see a biggin’ tree? Go check out the GRANDFATHER TREE! They also have a tree log turned into a home, reminds me of an rv. Also the Jedidiah forest, another awesome hike in biggin trees! 😁 Great video.
Just camped at Jedediah for the first time. Absolutely gorgeous
Sheila it will be fine
Looks like a great place for “Squatchin’”
I laughed so much during this video
Hey Todd,
There is another Bigfoot Museum just outside Portland in Boring Oregon. It’s small but pretty cool!
We were there last summer.
Thanks for the tip!
I think there is also one in Eureka, Ca plus I believe they even have a big foot hunts.
Fun video!
Thank you for watching
Did I miss the kitchen organizing video mentioned last year? We are just trying to do what we can as weekend warriors. Please help us make it doable, simple and reachable. Till one day we can full time like y’all.
Well I’m not happy with my kitchen organization- so we scrapped it until I redo it to be a little better- I need to redo!

Pretty sure she gave you the bird between the trees, LMAO 🤣😅🤣😅
Big Foot is waiting for you in Washington State, Todd!
Come to prairie provinces for elk
What was the name of the area you walked to from the motorcycle? Where the folks were doing the photo shoot. Great video!
Fern Canyon and thanks for watching!

Sheila, can you call Todd's doctor and get a doctor's order for more and longer hikes?
Hi from the EMAHIZERs!!!!
I see today was a 'catch up' day for the EMAHIZERs! Thankful for your conitnued support :-)
@@SwitchItUpLife for sure and thank you guys for everything you do. We love everything you guys do and are truly grateful for taking us along for the journey!
What you need in the forest is a wheelbarrow to ride in and someone to wheel you around so you can look up at all the trees.
We almost hit a Moose the other day. Watch our next video to see that.......
Where did you stay/camp for this trip? We are planning for a 2023 trip west.
Klamath River RV park

Right?? That's what I'm saying too!
Moose are in standing water. They spend all their time eating water plants. Good luck

Moose is a mythical creature you will see Big Foot before you see a Moose.
