@@andres7196 Is that why I've watched multiple Raptors absolutely cook their front ends doing things normal trucks do with 0 issues? Ford and Dodge should have just used normal 3/4 ton suspension or SFAs on the Raptor and TRX. The front suspension is the weak point of both.

The owners manual for a Raptor states that it is intended for high speed off-road operation and jumps up to 1 meter high. Don’t kill me if I’m off a bit, as I’m writing this from memory, don’t have the manual with me.

Yes. The rebound absorption is impressive, but I can imagine that stiff of rebound dampening isn't very fun on rough, rocky roads. Especially since the suspension is there to take the shock of a drop/bump so the driver doesn't have to.

I'm running the exact same shocks setup in the rear. They make clicking noise like crazy but crazy beefed up. 👍
most trucks SUVs hd shocks make an audible clicking noise when they're compressing
@@headliner733 I had an FJ with 2.5 kings which was so quiet but the fox 5 tube bypass mid-travel on the raptor is just too loud even on paved roads. I believe it's the bypasses making all the clicking noise.
@@mehryar. all my full sized SUVs do it too with bislteins. I thought it was a brake line chaffing so I pulled up and down on tow hitch got it bouncing pretty good and determined it was the shocks when they compress.

The amount you pay for that truck to begin with you shouldn't have to upgrade the suspension.
You dont have to but it helps if you really get after it.
They’ve cut the bed to fit these struts and 98% of people buying these do not need suspension like this.
It’s not for weight or road driving, it’s for fullllll fuckin send on rough ground and jumping.
It’s comparable to looking at a 4 door sports car built as a drift car, on coilovers, then you coming along going oh you shouldn’t have to upgrade the suspension with how much these cost new.

On of my buddies had a 4Runner and his parents bought him some 4000$ suspension he would take us off road and we’d be going like 40 50mph and you could barely tell we were off road

The body frame? It’s a body on frame design, not a unibody. They are not one unit. You can tweak and cut the body without effecting the frame. The shock mounts are welded onto the frame though. Doesn’t hurt it.

Having so much damping doesn't mean it's needed. Shock tune entirely depends on the type and speed of impact. Drop test only shows you can land a jump, not that you can keep traction when your wheel is bouncing on rocks.

Ya it can be dropped from 30 feet and survive but it can't go 5000 miles without the transmission slipping or the engine misfiring. These vehicles are unreliable straight up garbage. You want a real offroad vehicle but a Toyota. Avoid Ford unless you want a 130,000$ paper weight
