Oil filter is a cartridge on top, the oil change is pretty simple, loosen 2 screws, remove 2 screws, remove 1 plate, Drain oil, replace filter top side, not under vehicle as you said, then put it back. It's very simple, and similar to most cars with splash shields
@@chrisdriner My opinion is that in other countries this is the biggest top trim truck you can get in Ford's lineup whereas here in the US we have the F-150. It's common marketing to not give you everything in a smaller vehicle to give more reason to upgrade to a larger more profitable vehicle. Want rear vents? Upgrade to the F-150. Want ventilated seats? Upgrade to the F-150. Plus they save a little money in less parts and labor during manufacturing.
great video! as a person coming from many F150's and F250's i recently bought the Ranger Raptor in hot pepper red. it is a blast to drive. so much easier to navigate in smaller environments off road and in the concrete jungle. lol keep up the good work.
Have a 2018 F150 and thinking of this for the next vehicle. I really miss the big flat floor in the back of the f150. Great for dog. Will give a year or two for Ford to tweak any issues.
I have a Ranger Raptor here in Australia and the fender and hood vents ARE real... loghy test does not work.... have seen the heat haze come out of them..
Thanks for pointing out the RR goes into Park when the door opens. Do you know what happens if you open the door at 5mph or so as you would on a trail or snow situation?
Yeah, too bad it has less than 300 hp in the UK. Detuned engine. The American version from the dealer has 405 hp and can be tuned with a Ford Performance tune to 455 hp by the dealer. You don't have a Raptor in the UK, you have a Ranger masquerading as a Raptor.
Your exhaust vents are 100% functional after driving it put your hand over it and feel the heat coming out Mine work perhaps you got the one that was supposed to go to the Philippines IDK but mine do work Let me know how that works out for you when you cut it open to find out that they do work lol
I noticed one feature I liked from a different company that Ford hasn't done or thought of. Toyota has an adaptive drive feature that will aid not only with the turns but also will brake with view of vehicles getting closer due to braking and you are slow on braking at first. Now I found this on the 2024 Tacoma and it was not in cruise control so don't think that's it. The feature is available outside of cruise control which is a little game changer. I do like the LIM button 😂 not for me but if my kid was to ever possibly drive it...yes very handy but it needs a lock feature for say almost like parental control. This is probably something that can be done if it's set-up in valet mode.
No controls in the back , however the blower for the is strong enough even on low it's more than enough to cool the entire truck I've had two other Ranges before I ordered my Raptor and at no time did we ever use the rear vents Rangers are known for freezing you out they work just that good
I know this is a 4 month old video, but i am going to look at a ranger raptor this weekend at a local dealership here in New England with no markup. The caveat is i would be trading in my '23 F150 Raptor. I know, I know...why the heck would i even contemplate that? Long story short...what was affordable almost 2 years ago is getting harder and harder to handle now due some life changes (especially if its a $200-300/month difference). That being said, I am curious to know has anyone here made a switch from the F150 Raptor to the RR and how has that transition gone? I know you have an F150 Raptor...could you imagine yourself moving from the full size to its younger brother version? Thanks!
Love it be great for me here down the jersey shore town can get around easier then my ram it’s just me my wife and my pittie should whould love that little back window
I'm glad I came across this video, I finally see a physical difference between the both of them and the F 150 is obviously got the bigger stronger motor, the F150 is on my bucket list of when ever I hit the lottery, just a matter of time
@@Raven00714 I see. Ford should’ve added real vents. Sucks for the rear passenger. Especially when all modern pick up now have real vents. Shocked that ford took that route, if you really need the size saving for a small pick up. The full size raptor work better for passenger comfort
@Deta-zv3zw literally no one that buys this truck cares about the vents I'm the rear lol. The floor vents are more than sufficient for the rear and the front vents still get plenty of air to the back. These cabs are small, they don't need more vents in the rear. Find something else to complain about
The vents on the floor has been a thing in vehicles for decades. As a rear passenger, you don't have air blowing directly on you, but it's still circulating throughout the cabin so you can be comfortable so it's not pointless.
Look like many of us who pre-ordered our Raptors we and i think i can speak for everyone We all did the same thing we watched every video on TH-cam University and that was from around the world because the US was still waiting on ours The Philippines and the UK did have rear vents and a few other options that we did not get and if im not mistaken the Philippines didn't even get the same motor infact I believe they got 4-cylinder s with turbos Honestly i can't explain why that is and even the UK got less hp i have no clue what Fords thinking was

There is dual climate in the ranger raptor. Also there are vents under the front seats for the rear passengers.
lol I should have read your comments before I posted the same lol my bad
You did look under the seats lol
Yes, I just like my toes to receive ac 💀

Great video. There is a USB outlet on the rearview mirror for dashcams and radar detectors.
Only in Australia, the US model I had didn't had it.
Great review. I have a question. Does the tailgate lock with the remote or key pad? Thanks for sharing.
Yes, locks automatically when the truck is locked.

@@blahx9 great question I just got mine. I’ll have to try it but I’m kinda freaked out to do so after seeing it shift automatically lol
You’re the first one who covered the trailer back up assist thank you. Other reviews wouldn’t even share that. Thought ford removed it.
Such a fully loaded and awesome looking truck and best part is, we can get it in the UK!! Great vid

What can you put in auxiliary switches. Need follow up video
J'aime bien les petits détails mentionnés dans cette présentation.
Does the Ranger Raptor have a garage door opener similar to home link? Also, you did an excellent video!

Just got my new Raptor Ranger on Saturday so this video was great, I learned some stuff!
Really well done. Thx!
Whats the name or make of the bed cover on the f150 raptor?

Look under the driver seat and the passenger seat and you will see an air vent for the rear seats
Nobody ever looks under the seats
Is there ac controls for the rear or no?
It’s sounds like an old Yukon or something. Why did they put it down there would it be useless..

Amazon has an adapter that up-converts the USB-C or USB-A to RJ11 12V. It works great for my Escort Max 360c radar detector
How do you mount a front wench on the new Ranger Raptor 🤔
Front wench, like a tavern wench?
Can't wait to get our Raptor this Friday or Saturday, we just sold our XLT and add some cash for a Raptor.
That gas tank is really messed up. Took such a hit, makes one wonder what else is wrong.
Splash guards and oil heater
That interior is nicer than the Toyota. Might be a better truck than Tacoma based on engine and interior alone.
It’s night and day better than the Toyota
Shift knob looks like Alien head as in movies
Curious, how much are people paying for the US ford ranger raptor? MSRP, I see it at close to $60K. Just wondering about effect of mark ups. Thanks.
I paid MSRP plus $3,000, I ordered it so there was a $1,000 rebate, it's a great truck for $61,000 plus fees.
@ congratulations. I’m looking at next year for me realistically.
I paid 1500 under MSRP in Indiana
