Varials were my first flip trick. I remember the day I did my first vividly and it was 18 years ago. Cant remember my first tre or kick flip. But that varial was huge for me
The one at 2:04 is one of the best tre flips I've ever seen that catch on it was crazy I hope to do that some day I've had varial flips for like two weeks now and I'm getting better next step tre
A better way explaining would be foot position. The tre flippers back foot is in a completely different position to push the board way more in to the pop shuvit motion than the variable flipper. The varial consist more of the of the front than the back foot. The tre requires a lot more of the back foot.
I've always felt like the front foot is a little involved in varial flips and not at all involved in Tre flips. Even in these videos the guy doing the v flips has a sharp front foot flick.
i mean, i do my varial flips with no shove-it. i literally do it all with my front foot, so i do them literally the opposite to treflips (i pop straight down just like an ollie, then with my frontfoot i flick it downwards and a little to the right and it makes a varial flip). regular shove-it is my nemesis and i never figured out how to have any control over them so that's probly why i do them the way i do lol. they look strange and people often ask me "what was that supposed to be" and i'm like "just a varial flip". i guess technically it's a dolphin flip but without the vertical rotation (so not a dolphin after all, i know:)
bro was spitting at the end of the video lol he just here showing the difference and how to accentuate that difference. however you do that is up to you 😭😂
@@katiesamnumber1fan just focus on moving your leg more than moving your ankle. try to scoop as fast as you can and use your whole leg instead of what you would use in a pop shuv
i practicing 360 for 1 year and still cant land it clear. and i think i should trying some new, then i trying to practicing varial flip....wtf it just land smoothly in 4th try 😑 after that i realize have a correct scoop is the hardest part of practicing 360flip
DON'T LEARN VARIAL FLIPS BEFORE YOU LEARN TRE'S, look I learned varials first, now whenever I try treflips, no matter where i put my backfoot, i can never get my full scoop, it's always a perfect varial flip. If you learn Varial's first, it is gonna fuck up your progression when it comes to learning tre's, I've been going at them for a week and I still haven't even gotten a full scoop.
I disagree I learned varials first and yes scoop may be hard but that’s bc your doing the same back foot scoop and I noticed that first few attempts and got full rotation just got moved your back foot
Treflip=360 before the flip.
Varial= 180 before the flip
Thank you
Thank you
Not really it’s a 360 after the flip g

it’s been a year and i’ve had varial flips for 2 weeks. have you learnt tre flips? any help is so?
Thanks for breaking down the differences between these two tricks

The height on your flips are amazing. Wow
Love that last comment at the end 😂

I’m doing the tre in the morning it’s too late rn lol
ddid you learn how to tre flip yet?
can you tre
can you tre
Tre flip seems so much harder I'm stuck getting that extra rotation
me too :/
did u ever figure it out, cant rotate it moer than 180

So basicly board does the same thing and the difference is only how you do it?
No , for treflip you put more scoop so the board does a 360 , for the varial it's only a 180
@@sca___lnp929 finally someone explained it to me xD
@@thedude7071 no problem xD you can ask me on Instagram if you want some advices @sacha.pl_sb
Yeah man it's the same trick, the only difference is that it's a different trick so you do it different, hope that was helpful :)
Real question is can i Tre before Varial? 🤔🤔
🔥🔥🔥
tbh i don’t find variables hard at all, they took me 5 mins to learn
ong me too
i’m the opposite lol. i picked up tre flips like that and now i always over rotate when attempting varials.
Ending VO was a tad bit Emo.
how is it emo, telling people ahead of time, to not cry they can't tre flip
I can varial flip but I can’t treflip but I can do a hard flip
I can tre but I can't varial
bruh nobody was planning to comment that really messed up the vibe of the video
I can do varial flip but cant kickflip idk tf why..
i know you lie
@@987heartbeaten7 i’m the same varials are easier then kick flips for me cause it’s easier to flick
I learn v flips first also easier to flick u don’t have to drag up and then flick u just flick off the side
But me I turn my shoulder when i varial flip but not when i tre flip so its not the same thing for me
Each their own I think a varial you keep your shoulders more straight but tre you tilt 5 degrees foward
i've done like 5 v flips i'm gonna get better at v flips first😸👍
