I've skated for 20 years and still do, I can do all kinds street tricks a lil tecky occasionally. I can do ramp/ vert , rails , park but I can't do this pressure flip. After watching this i think i need to practice that trick some more. Thanks I really I liked your break down of this pressure flip. Thumbs up
@@thndr_5468 I feel like if you put your own spin on the technique in a natural way it can be a really dope trick. The default way looks kinda geeky but you can definitely pop a pressure flip high and style it out.
Same :) my board got run over by a car the first day I went out on it tho 😂 surprisingly it didn’t break but the trucks have slightly bent. 10/10 durability for palace decks
This trick haunts my dreams, I’ve been trying to learn it for weeks now. I learned Inward Heels & Backside Heels in about less than a day for each of them & for some stupid reason I cannot do a stupid ass pressure flip lmao
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!! anytime im working on a new move i get a gallon of water and watch a video off this channel. it takes hours of practice but when im done its all worth it. this channel is epic
i actually learned them 2 days ago, so hyped i got them still in the last year, these tips will defo help me improve em further haha happy new year everyone!
@@nookz2629 I learned a bunch of other tricks. I don't know if they are harder or eaiser though. I learned varial heel flip that quite many seem to think is quite challening. :-)
Been trying to learn this trick I hate it 😂 I think this helped me realize I'm popping it alot more then I think I am. Everytime I try to commit with both feet it doesn't flip and hits my knee for the back foot.
Man, love these videos. Please keep these coming. Also, you should come out with a video part edit. Would love to see some videos of you doing some street skating.
I think that maybe you know more than those 2 tricks, its just that you dont know their names or even if they're real tricks 'that counts', specially those freestyle tricks that look really cool and are pretty easy to learn, keep your skateboarder mind open dude, flat ground isn't evrything.
Honestly pressures are so much different than other tricks, I would say the only benefit of having other tricks is the experience of landing on the board after it flips
agreed, The secret is the back foot placement and a little tighter trucks. You can get them boys to POP and its a fun trick to learn. It's also not too bad moving into hardflips after this.
@@TheGoldenriff I thought so too. Once you get the concept of a pressure flip, it makes hardflips easier. Same kinda concept, just a different direction and a little front foot flick.
@@KumeTheWolf absolutely! And of course the hardflip makes it more flashly by going through your legs and is more exaggerated. Its always a fun trick to throw over tons of stuff. The pressure looks good too if you got some style, you can be creative with it.
Man you skater are something else, y broke mi elbow learning the ollie, and that was it for me, my elbow is now permanently damaged for life (this is true) and i cant get my head around how you guys make this board bounce of the ground like nothing, maybe the board y have is too heavy? Idk... i just cruise around with it sometimes, but i had enough with the tricks...
This is one I have always had trouble with hopefully this will help. Nice Emerica's and Toy Machine board looks like someone is probably a fan of Ed Templeton. The young ones might have to look him up lol.
Good video, I disagree with the idea that you dont really pop with a pressure flip. I do these with a serious pop and get them high, but I dont use my front foot at all. Get it basically 180 degrees vertically then a half flip, and I get them way high. Am I still doing a pressure flip lol?
I have had the oddity of not being at all comfortable with doing any kind of impossible, pressure, sal flips while skating my normal stance of goofy. The only way I can try and land tricks that requires that back foot motion and feel is to do it riding switch/ fakir. Impossibles pressures and varial kick it varial heels can only be done that way. 🤷🏽♂️
I can do this trick and catch it with front foot on the board and back foot on the ground but the board just pops way too high for me to be able to get my front foot out of the way in time and land with both feet on the board. I've obviously tried different back foot motions but no matterhow I scoop it always seems to pop way to high. Any tips?
Hey I'm a beginner and I have a question does the front foot go in the nose or tail because ik that for sum tricks you'll have to use both nose or tail first but like whish position is used the most
ive watched a ton of your vids today and noticed its on asphalt, on my board a push will only go 15 feet on the road and can do fine i guess on sidewalk, it has metal trucks and has i think ok bearings, i just dont get whats my problem, i know boards arent good on roads but every video ive seen does a lot better than my board. there are the wider wheels but the vids i watched didnt have them either. so do i just have a shit board or whats the problem?
I just started skating and one of my biggest problems is to go out there and practice im always to afraid that people make fun of me i have tried alot of times but whenever i see someone my confidence just goes down..
It will get easier, just block it out and force yourself. Eventually you just won't care and maybe even some random neighbors will eventually say you are getting better or whatever. The main thing is just getting out there and realizing that most people will just ignore you and I mean like 95% of everyone. Mainly only people who skate also or have an interest in it will pay you any mind. scooter kids at the skate park or kids in general can get annoying asking stupid questions and whatnot but for the most part you will just be ignored. The secret is once you get out there it is easy, and it gets easier as you progress and gain confidence. To build some before you get out into the streets and around town you can practice pivots and kick turns or stationary ollies or shoves in a garage or basement eventually you will get so fed up that you move onto the comfort of your driveway and the street . One more thing try getting some practice in on a weekday between 12 and 4 PM when most of your neighbors are at work and the traffic is light.
@@Ricksteady8 thanks bro I finally got out today i was able to practice but still kinda afraid but its getting better and better ill practice more tomorrow :)

It's all in putting the back foot in the concave and scooping. One of my favorite tricks to do.

I can’t even Ollie 😂
Henry Willis 👍
Practice young padiwan is the key, one does not simply learn a trick a trick learns you.

Would you say it’d be fine if I only know 2 tricks (Ollie and Shuvit) and I attempted my first pressure flips and tried to land them?

Just sweep your board with your back foot diagnol (sorry for my english) under your stance foot. That creates the motion of a flip and and a shove it.
Wow, this trick is like magic to me. Can't tell my brain not to pop the tail, it's just so engrained in my head. Lol.
Moot did you even land it??

Pressure flips taught me to tre somehow
If you put paraffin wax or crayon wax shavings in your pivot cups, it stops the trucks creaking in them rubber cups.
Every time I try pressure flip I lift up my back foot after putting the pressure on the tail and I just end up doing a under flip
I tried pressure flips and I skate very tight trucks I loosened them to about medium tightness and I still can't get a pressure flip
