Very true! I am 35 years old, 255 lbs and skating! I stopped 16 years ago and the Braille Skateboarding channel has helped re-ignite the skateboarder in me. I have been growing exponentially ever since! I am doing more things today than I was 16 years ago and I have only been back at it for 5 months! Thanks guys for all the content!
@@JOK3RC4RDx 14-15 years old. I only skated for 4-5 years too. In Ohio we also only had a 4-6 month season to skate as the weather is not great up there. There were not skateparks either.
That's great! Man, I'm experiencing the same... 3 months of - 4/5 times at week - skateboarding after 16 years stop and I learnt kickflip, heelflip, pop shove it, 5050 grtind, boardslide... And I had stopped only at ollie level! This is crazy: I am definitely much more focused now at 33 yo than in ever other age of my life!

Great tutorial. Learned varial kickflip in under an hour. One tip for people that try to learn this. Try to do it rolling. The momentum will help you land it easier
Currently I am injured and skateboardding was the thing i loved. But now I am not sure when I will be able to skate again. You guys motivate me to get threw that phase and i believe that i will be able to ride that peace of wood again!
Braille skateboarding has been an awesome resource for me.. I used to skate in my teens, now in my 30's and revisiting skating as a sort of meditation and its amazing how much the support from these videos and the slow motions videos are helping. Just landed my first varial flip today! can't wait to lock it in and learn the tre flip. Thank you for building such a great community and reminding everyone that its never too late to get back on your board!
when i used to skateboard i accidentally learned to do this while trying to learn a pop shove it. its been SOOOO long now, like 20 years, but clearly i still have some interest in skateboarding, i'm subscribed to this.

bro just skated for the first time in ten years yesterday, in 45 minutes i had my drop in, ollie, kickflip, landed a perfect heelflip on the first try and even hit a 2 foot verted rail! im 25 and yes when you hit ground it hurts more but it was an awesome time!
The most interesting thing I see in everyone's varial flip that i never hear talked about is that they always flick off the side, and almost never off the nose
I think it's very difficult to teach tricks without physically being next to the person because there's always so many foot position and timing idiosyncrasies, but this was actually very well done. Also I love how the Braille decks have the same tail and nose. Idk why thats not more of a thing but I love it! Ilovesk8!
Me and a friend are currently learning varial flips we’ve done them a couple times but we haven’t practiced them that well but they definitely are fun tricks to do

I think it's easier because you know where it's gonna land whereas with kickflip sometimes it goes somewhere random
