The Petersens are my favorite band consisting of a family of wonderful musicians and singers. This song features the one "Adopted Petersen" Emmett Franz who is a master of the Dobro. This is a resonator guitar that in the right hands, like Emmett's, can make such wonderful sounds that it seems to come alive as if another person. This band is "for real" with genuine live talent, not artificially constructed talent like so much in the musical world of today. Check out their other videos and you won't stop watching!

@@Peter-pv8xx Yes, you are right. Lynn Morris' original is also bluegrass. But, you know, we Italians don't immediately grasp the difference. Even if I'm gradually gaining some experience.😉
You all really got it together on this song. Emmett's voice is very suitable to this number, and the backup is nice, well-balanced. This is further proof that Emmett's voice does well on country and hillbilly tunes. Keeping that dobro low is a good idea at times. This is your forte, man.

Great to see Emmet leading another one. Really strong guitar and mandolin work from Matt and Julz. Ho-hum, Katie's and Ellen's contributions were their normal A++. The outtake was pretty cool too. Here's hoping it rains smiles everywhere you go!

The dobro into fiddle transition was perfect. She picked up just barely as he finished.
I'm not sure, because it has never been seen in captivity before, but I think I saw Emmett smile at the very end of the outro skit. Nice job Emmett and a good song choice too. Really good vocals, both lead and harmony. Musically, tight as always. A really nice surprise again, having a gift from the Petersens. Can't ever get enough of this talented group. We'll take all we can get though. Y'all stay safe, healthy and blessed.
I'm not sure why that is but when he was with the Franz family band, he was quite funny: th-cam.com/video/GfAo8s6WvRc/w-d-xo.html. I think perhaps it was because he was the youngest of the group but with the Petersens he's like the elder statesman and must carry himself in a much more dignified manner, stiff upper lip and all ;-)
