I moved here twelve years ago with my American wife and kids,...i stayed for my kids!
What I've seen happening here in the last twelve years in many ways makes me wish I'd never moved here .
Then is see families such as yourselves and it reminds me that there is always a balance to everything. For all the bad i see happening here, there is just as much good !
And that helps me stay close to God, Creator, Great Spirit !

Great song on a serious topic. It definitely puts the "blue" in blue grass. Emmett has the perfect voice for this and who can argue with Julianne and Ellen providing harmonies? Or Matt and Momma laying down the baseline. And of course there's some of Katie's smoking fiddling too. Absolutely awesome song, but I think I'm missing some things that make it special. I'll probably need to listen to it another 50 times to pull all those together...

Great song Emmet! Matt sure has a clean clear sound on the guitar and Katie plays that fiddle with her whole body. Julianne’s voice was made for the high lonesome harmonies of bluegrass music and of course Mama and Ellen always doing their great job.
Your band would not be the same without Emmett. He adds so much to your success. 😊

When you look at classic bluegrass, no matter how dark or deep the message the music wasn't dirgelike. It was almost bright. This is a great bluegrass tune with a really fine story as well. Really fine job Emmett. Everybody sounded great as well. Music was hot and the harmonies were spot on. What a treat to get something from y'all today. Can never get enough of The Petersens. Outstanding new original bluegrass song from Emmett with excellent harmony from Ellen and Julianne. A great way to start the 2024 music video season! When I asked Emmett last year in Amsterdam about his new tunes on IG he said that for the time being they were going to stay there. Well, I'm so glad he now decided otherwise. This one sounds so good with the full band. I hope The Petersens keep doing these more traditional bluegrass songs from time to time, especially originals. BTW, seeing that lonely bass lying there in front of all those trees I was more or less anticipating some sort of Steel Rails outro.😁 But no antics this time, just a wonderful moment of tranquility between the Ozarks in early spring.

Emmett is multi talented and very good at his craft. Just caught a Petersens show last Thursday in Branson. Loved everything about it. Got a good laugh when Matt embarrassed himself with a slip of the tongue trying to say when they first started out. Hope you all have a great year and I’m sure I’ll try to catch another show.
This is a great song to be covered by any top country artist. This sounds like it could bring in a nice amount in royalties for years.

In addition to Emmett providing some insider details of how he penned this WSOT, there are so many fun stories...the kind that produces happy face laughter.
