While I am sad there was no banjo for the Europeans this time, I am sure they were not left unimpressed. I was in Cincinnati when Julianne was away at college, and while I missed her mandolin and voice, the rest of the band held the fort and did not leave room for disappointment. And if a band one member short can sound that good, then I am dying to hear them as a complete unit, which I am sure is in the plans for the Europeans after the baby arrives and Ellen and Michael are settled into a routine. Also... Katie, BIG Congratulations on your first single! I have listened to it over and over for the past couple of weeks. As absurd as this may seem, in the couple of weeks before it hit TH-cam, I had been sitting at the piano, notebook in hand, trying to convey some of the exact same thoughts you did in Sherwood, but I was getting no where. Robin Hood has always been one of my favorite stories, if not my very favorite, and I was feeling fed up with the world, longing for the chivalry, devotion, and loyalty portrayed in the story and in similar stories of old. Yet I was convinced I was crazy for feeling that way. It seemed ridiculous for me, a young woman. to still be trying to live in a fairy tale, ya know? I prayed for the Lord to give me words that helped to express what was on my mind, and he did... Through you! Seriously, I got SO excited when I listened to it the first time because I had found what I was searching for. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts and talents Katie. God is using them in his own mysterious and wonderful ways. I cannot express that enough, even if it starts to sound redundant, because I see it! Alright! Well, I have gone on too long, and no one wants to here me jabber any longer! 🤪Glad you are back home safe, and I will be anticipating the rest of this vlog series! -Emma

Fun fact, England is a seafaring nation and most sailors are right handed. In the most basic boat, the one man rowboat with 2 oars, steering inputs are mostly from the right side oar and you always try to keep the steering side in deeper water and the shore (port) on the left because it tends to be more shallow. “Starboard”(right) is a shortened sailor-speak form of “steering side”. That’s why the English can’t imagine why we Americans steer our cars from the port side.
Interesting, but the Dutch are also a seafaring nation and mostly right handed and they steer their cars from the port side like the Americans. So, how do you explain that?
@@FrankvdMuijsenberg They may be copying us and we set it up deliberately just to be different from the Brits. There is a lot of that US culture. I just randomly started thinking about that while watching Katie drive. 😁

Traveling with your family, Emmett and Randy seems like it would be a lot of fun. Too bad Ellen couldn't make the trip this year. Just think, next year she'll be bringing her baby along for the trip! If anything, these videos document life doesn't always go as smoothly as the camera makes it seem! Hey Katie, how did you like driving on the wrong side of the road in England? Those British round abouts are something else when you're going clockwise with an inside and outside lane! Was it an automatic or a standard transmission? Almost all of the cars in the UK are standard which makes it even more of a challenge shifting with your left hand!
I’m sure someone’s told you that isn’t semi truck, it’s a strait truck. Semis are large, with semi-trailers with no front wheels. The front rests on the back of the truck (tractor), hence. Semi-trailer.
Speaking of Anti-Purpose, do you know Castle in the Sky (studio ghibli), I think it's streaming on Netflix? I ask you, listen to the final song, but only after watching the entire film. This is my Christmas present to you. Think of it this way, wow, that was so unusual that I'm going to watch it and see if anything good can come of a suggestion like that
We had a trips, first we went to London to pickup our rental and then drove to the pier to take the car ferry (rest and meal in the car ferry) to Amsterdam, so we skipped the French part.
Hello Petersen gang, the bell tower in Amsterdam is Westerkerk, if I remember. If you Google Martin Molin and Wintergarten you'll see a TH-cam clip of his where he visited and toured this tower. There's a lady who actually plays these bells from a console on the first floor. It's fascinating. Show the video clip to Emmett. He'll love it.😊👍

Hey Petersens!!!
Next year you have to organize a tour in Italy.
Your music must be played at least once in Florence.
We are waiting for you!!!
Sono d'accordo con te Fausto. Firenze sarebbe una sede ideale. Potrei forse raggiungerla anche io. Chissà... 🤞

Dobbiamo convincerli !!!!!
We would LOVE to go to Italy! Unfortunately we couldn’t make it work this time, but would love to catch you at any of our shows in Europe :)

Thanks for the fun footage (and for the captions👍). Amsterdam was amazing. Let's do it again sometime with Ellen and her amazing 🪕. 🙌

Really impressed that you organised everything on your own. I realise you have to keep costs down but it may have been easier to hire an a fancy to do all the travel, accommodation, venue arrangements etc. But we’ll done managing everything on your own.
Hope you all behaved yourselves on the road. No trashing hotel rooms, getting wasted and throwing the TVs out the windows. Ah them were the days. 🙋♂️😀🇬🇧
I love these behind the scenes/ crazy family videos.... There too awesome 👍 (I do love the weird stuff)
This vlogs are so entertaining and funny - thanks!
Hello there, thanks for this lovely trip story. I am glad, that it all went well. Otherwise I coult not have seen You in Cologne. Nice to have a glimpse on “behind the scenes”!
Great to see you on tour again. Enjoy, of course! :)
Pale is beautiful, Madam Petersen! 5:18
Wow, really fascinating to see how you experienced the tour. I can imagine this is incredibly stressful; but certainly also exciting; I'm looking forward to your contribution from Germany, where I was able to experience your great concert. Unfortunately, the culture church in Köln-Nippes was overcrowded, so I wasn't able to talk to you and ask my questions during my stay. I'm sure you got a good impression of the German fans and I look forward seeing you again next year; please feel very invited to return to Germany. Good look for the next concerts, exspecially the Christmas events.
We are traveling back to Europe! We hope to see you back in Germany, and this venue should be more accommodating :)

Dear Petersens, thanks for remembering the tour dates. I really enjoyed attending your concert in Colonge August 15th; great new songs. Regarding the organization: This time everything was perfect. Big hall, everyone had a seat, good view, good sound and a coffee break. The photo shooting with the fans at the end was also very well organized. Have a good time in Europe.
I just adore your vlogs!! Look forward to the next part. :)

Love the moustache Matt.Looks like your eyebrow came down for a drink!!!
I’m sure someone’s told you that isn’t semi truck, it’s a strait truck. Semis are large, with semi-trailers with no front wheels. The front rests on the back of the truck (tractor), hence. Semi-trailer.
I'm from Brazil and i love your videos
Speaking of Anti-Purpose, do you know Castle in the Sky (studio ghibli), I think it's streaming on Netflix? I ask you, listen to the final song, but only after watching the entire film. This is my Christmas present to you. Think of it this way, wow, that was so unusual that I'm going to watch it and see if anything good can come of a suggestion like that
We had a trips, first we went to London to pickup our rental and then drove to the pier to take the car ferry (rest and meal in the car ferry) to Amsterdam, so we skipped the French part.

Absolutely love these vlogs. My only complaint is that I didn't get to hear any British accents. Still delightful as always.
