Got Bianca V3 (standard color and loud dip tray) for a few weeks now and I think it would be great to make practical video about automating some profiles with pre-infusion (even though it's actually pre-brew) and low flow mode + combination of both. I love my Bianca, but there are few things.. I think it's a pitty Lelit didn't make it a little bit better for that times one doesn't want to use paddle at all. For example: being able to pick flow rate for low-flow would effectively make it a Slayer machine. Or being able to pick pre-infusion time in fraction of seconds (that would be surely just software thing). I also found out that combination of both doesn't work as expected - I would expect 3" PI together with 3" low-flow start to do 3" PI in low flow but unfortunately for some reason low flow mode valve is always engaged after first 3 seconds (first 3 seconds are always full flow). So for me, there was only one use-case which was making sense and it was 3" PI on (which covered my portafilter with drops, so I would probably pick 2.5"), 10" (or whatever time for blooming) PI off, then normal flow and low flow final (eg. 25", for last 1/3 of shot, find that time prior setting this value or test first with paddle) to tame bitterness if needed.
I really enjoy my ECM Synchronika but the new Bianca features are pretty neat and nice additions. The QuickMill Vetrano 2b is another high end E61 dual boiler which is often overlooked!
Thanks for the in-depth review , I really craved for a Slayer but when I found a Lelit Bianca V3 White on sale for roughly 1750 euro (tax included here in italy ,roughly $2000 vat included ) it simply was a no brainer decision .
I’m struggling right now deciding between the decent and the Bianca. I love that Bianca is a dual boiler but the decent is also intriguing with the ability to stay up to date with new technology
I think the v3 looks like a perfect machine. I just purchased a Lucca X58, it's great thus far. But I know there are a ton of other awesome machines as-well. And I can always add the flow control fairly easily.
I own a decent and during the last weeks I've used the bianca v3 which i got as a loan. If you can aford a decent go for the decent!. It makes absolutely everything the bianca does but way better and much much more... with that said, i do think the v3 is a great machine!
I think it’s more complicated than that. The decent is a tablet with limited tactile experience. These are hand built in Italy and are much less money. Not to mention… if you’re into milk based beverages this is likely the better steam powered machine.
@@KyleRowsell well with the decent you have the Group Control which acts exactly like the paddle for flow OR pressure control, if you eant to use it... steam can be adjusted to your exact preference
I’d get the Bianca again. Currently have the v2 and absolutely love the machine. It’s super compact, neat and clean looking and brews amazing espressos for my taste. Absolute killer machine in a home environment. Probably not upgrading to a v3. Also much prefer the Bianca design over ECM and Profitec machines.
does anyone know what is a comparable machine that has a auto timer or app? i love everything about the bianca except waiting 20 minutes for my coffee. is it that hard to include an a timer?
Hello Kyle,, I appreciate your videos and candidness with your reviews and conversations about coffee. Question for you. Like you already have I will probably purchase the Bianca soon but have you reviewed the ECM Synchronika?, what are your thoughts? Steve
I must say the Crem One Duo-V I just got is very very good - exceptional build quality and has a display and auto on/off programming. And it’s an even better deal than the Lelit Bianca. You just have to order the flow control separately but that’s not an issue.
Hi Kyle ! Love your content, as usual. Question for you as I am looking to get a new espresso machine with flow control. Would you recommend today the Bianca ? Or do you have any recommendation on new machine ? Thanks - T
Hi I was lucky to get a upgrade from my V2 to the V3. As far as I can tell. I like my V3. The heating time is amazing. The low flow works pretty good. I have the steel version with the old trip tray😢. Can you pull some shots with the low flow on or give us some „recipe’s“? That would be nice 👍🏻. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
I was going back and forth between the Bianca and profitec 700, and then I chose the profitec “Quality wise” It shipped, and I will receive it within three days; I can't wait
Love your videos Kyle. Very instructive. I’m still hesitating to go with an E61 machine because of the heat time and the power consumption. Electricity is relatively cheap in Canada but I ‘d like to try to save whenever I can. The problem is I can’t find a better machine than the Bianca when looking at fully saturated groups or thermobloc, except maybe for Ascaso Baby T in that price range. And even then, no FC… Even though I really like the black or white versions, I’m already pushing the envelop budget wise and I find the CAN $600 difference quite steep. Anything else I should be looking at from your perspective? Thanks!
Been using my first espresso machine (Barista express) for about 2 years now, looking for a upgrade. I really like the features offered by the Bianca V3 but I am just a bit intimidated by the extra features such as flow control and PID which the BBE doesn’t have. Would you say this is a good machine to upgrade to, or you think is too big of a jump?
That's what I'm wondering. I upgraded from the batista express to the batista pro and now I'm looking at machines like this, but I'm still new and feel like I need more guidance.
I have the V3, though the silver one with the old drip tray. Even though it is my first machine after using capsules for ever, I would never ever want to have a machine without a paddle ever again. I have not yet found a coffee for which I want to dial in pre-inf and low-flow… too much experimenting going on.
It is a great looking machine in the black finish and a lot of features included for the price. It will be interesting to see how Lelit go forward now that they are part of the Breville / Sage empire.
Absolutely love the Bianca but always hated the external boiler. Amazon has a pretty great deal on the BDB that you could do a slayer mod to. The build quality on the Bianca is still way superior but is it worth paying twice for?
Hard to say what is “worth” to someone. For me steam power, automation and build quality are superior. Not to mention aesthetics. But I’d also understand why someone would go the breville route.
This looks like an amazing machine. Very intrigued by the decent but slightly concerned about cost vs longevity - in one way the tablet is a killer feature but concerned about how long that would actually last (no more than 3 years based on other tablets i've owned). This makes me think a workhorse machine like the v3 with no screen might be a better buy...
Great video. I LOVE the flat black with the light wood. I'm currently on a Breville Barista Touch and I'm on the fence between the Bianca v3 and the Decent. I've been lost in the weeds trying to figure out what to do for a while now. lol
Paddling the same boat, but more than the price is also the higher resolution of data. I’d love the visual and repeatable way of the Decent over a manual machine, but with a Decent XL and the bianca, it is almost 2x the Price to buy the Decent, at least for me in Denmark. I’d be tempted on the V3 just for the price alone and settle for less…
Really like this review. The features of the machine are very good given it's pricing. I've a ECM and i think if i upgraded it would be to another ECM.
There is too much contrast with the light wood. Would have been abs stunning with the dark walnut. Is there a chance to swap the wood elements and make a video about it ? Might be kinda cool (like a tutorial) video if really a lot of people are considering the black with dark wood :D
To each their own! I had the walnut on and found I enjoyed it less. I won’t be making a video about this as I don’t often do the niche tutorials like changing wood on a machine. I do try to focus my energy on broader topics if possible to help a wider audience. But maybe someone else will!
Hey Kyle. Your review in all Coffee gear are really helpful. I trust your opinion a lot. I did buy stuff after listening to your reviews. I am also Canadian and wanted to know who do you recommend using to order a lelit? Thanks for your work and keep doing some awesome content.
Hey Kyle, I was wondering what your opinion would be in purchasing the Decent DE1XL or a Bianca V3 with a naked smart profiler. I’m torn! Love your content, would appreciate your insight.
Lelit bianca has been on my top machine upgrade list so far. 2nd and 3rd contender is VA Eagle1 and LMLM. Current machine is GCP. Back then I had a good reason to upgrade since the steam of GCP was so weak. But now I no longer steam because I don't incorporate milk anymore. But I'm still excited to buy this should the chance come, screw the reasons XD
Nice. I really want the matte white. Can you show us more on what we can do with low profile. My main reason other than looks is I think with this my wife can actually pull a shit that’s mostly automatic. What don you think? Thx
What do you think about the VBM Domobar Super New Digital Edition? Seems to have a similar price and capabilities to the Bianca and also comes with a small OLED touch display. Both machines take a different route but they seem to get to the same destination that the user wants to go.
Love the video. long time listener, first time caller. Just wondering how you find the black surface and the durability against knocks from portafilters etc.
Great video Kyle. I'm really trying holding out for a ECM synchronika with flow control. I currently have Breville Dual Boiler. Hope the end result is worth the big cost upgrade.
Never had a problem with the v2 tray but I do like the look of the 3 better. But kin of disappointed they didn't paint the inside of the tray. I put a bar mat inside of mine because was tiered of looking at dirty water, if they had painted it it would have solved that. This is still a good deal compared to other machines because you get the flow paddle, wood and the bottomless portafilter but it does get closer in price to synchronka which the build quality is just better + switches which I prefer. This in the US where the ECM is now pretty close to the lelit v3 (but won't have the wood or the bottomless portafilter so this is still a good deal if you want those parts. When the v2 went to $2600 I had to pick one up because that was the steal of the century. v3 not enough of a compelling change compared to the v2 but this is an amazing machine in all versions and I do like the black one (would look better with the dark wood)
I have a Flair 58 and use pre-wetting, pre-infusion, and low flow effortlessly and perfectly every shot. I have a SEP pressure meter and a Acaia Luna scale so can graph pressure/flow profiles every shot on my iPhone. I have to say, though, once you have learnt how to pull a shot, the analog pressure meter and the scale shot weight with a bottomless portafilter is all you need to pull a great shot. You can teach someone how to do this in 1-2 shots. The idea of futzing around with a paddle and an obscure UI to do just adequate pre-wetting and pre-infusion and to set flow rate and then having to change it all for different beans is not appealing.
Hi there G8 fan of your utube video Hope You can help me out Going to get letit v3 chrome or black i have it down to €600 is the price difference Is it worth the extra to go the black v3 Thkzz for the help ..
I am new to your channel and really appreciate the content. Just ordered an Option O mini based on your comments. Do you an opinion on the Lucca M58? Especially relative to the Bianca V3? Thank you.
Kyle could you consider making a guide to using the Bianca? I've had my V2 for years, but still have questions :) - What basket would you recommend getting? - Would you pull mainly 20g baskets, or what would you use? - How would you set the water temperature? I've had mine hard stuck on 94C - Do you think having the paddle all the way left should stop all flow? - I always try to aim my grind so, that when I have my paddle all the way left, I start getting a drip of coffee in the cup at around 10 seconds. Then I let it drip until I have roughly 25g in the cup, after which I turn the paddle back to minimum, which drops the pressure to around 6 bars. And I aim to have 40g in the cup between 35-40seconds (25-30seconds of coffee dripping in to the cup). Does this sound reasonable, or what other methods of brewing would you recommend?
Hey Kyle! I’m curious about the actual cleanup of the finish, does it clean as easily as the mirrored stainless finish? Thoughts on keeping the black vs white vs stainless clean, or at least how much you notice it being dirty?
The Bianca v3 looks like a dream machine but in Sweden it's twice the price of the ECM Classika II PID (I can get FC paddle installed at no cost). Is the dual boiler + rotary pump worth that much extra?
Lot quieter with a rotary pump and it lasts longer with fewer problems. Also, because it has a rotary pump, you can adjust the pump pressure easily with a knob/bolt located at the bottom of the machine.
If I was going for a dual boiler the Bianca would be up there with the Pro 700, though for me it's a tossup between the Decent or a spring lever like the Pro 800.
Great video indeed. I've been enjoying your library of content for months and this is my first time chiming in. Have you considered looking at the Profitec Pro 400? It seems like it might be right up your alley and comparable although more compact. I'm sure you're aware of the machine as others have reviewed it although it's new this year. Curious to hear your thoughts...seems like quite a bang for the buck. Keep up the excellent work! Thank you for your content.
Does this machine have "open flow profiling" the way you can mod a BDB for both lever and slayer style or is it the same as the Slayer style paddle of "low" and then "on"? Basically can you ramp up and down by 1 bar or so with the paddle or does it just open after a certain point?
@@KyleRowsell Wonderful, thank you. Now if only Breville would release their Lance concept. For some reason their products are way cheaper here, BDB for ~700cad brand new on sale has been hard to beat. Niche is 1.5k though haha.
Still think flow control is stupid, but the matte black coating against the wood handles screams sexy. The machine is a high value add proposition, although all espresso machines have come up in price considerably since Covid.
Hi Kyle, love your videos thanks for your effort. Just wondering in your experience how the bianca stacks up against the pro 700 in terms of maintenance, repair, ease of both. SOmething I keep hearing about the 700 is how well thought-out the internal layout is, just wanted to look at all angles before making a big purchase. Had in mind to go towards a 700 with flow control but I really prefer the look of the bianca in black. Thanks in advance for your reply.
I’ve owned the Bianca for almost 3 years. No issues other than wear and tear. Typical maintenance. I often get confused at this conversation because at the same time people praise the decent, rightfully so, but have you seen the internals on that?
@@KyleRowsell No I've never seen the inside of a decent. Messy? I forget where I saw the video, probably WLL, but they were saying the pro 700 was really thoughtfully laid out for maintenance. I'm hoping to have an easy time with any future machine in terms of maintenance, but I think it's a factor worth considering if anything should go wrong.
@@johngreenhow2645 I mean there was a huge controversy around that video, because WLL originally sold only the profitec and not the bianca, so they bought one and proceeded to do kind of a “smear” on it. I think they do sell them nowadays (correct me if I’m wrong), but yeah
I've been tempted by the new colours on the Bianca and they are now available in the UK. However, they are charging a £600 premium over the standard chrome V3!! 🤯 So a non starter for me unfortunately.

If I was on the market today, I'd forgo the amazing build quality on my ECM Synchronika for the unique features in the Bianca V3.
For sure! My question is always simply this… do you need all the features of a decent? If not save your money
Lance in the background is an added bonus. :)
The collab you didn’t know you wanted.
I think the v3 looks like a perfect machine. I just purchased a Lucca X58, it's great thus far. But I know there are a ton of other awesome machines as-well. And I can always add the flow control fairly easily.
Great video as usual ! What about the BEZZERA ARIA PID ? Would be great to have a comparative with the Lelit Bianca.
Hm what about service if you encounter a problem?
I’d get the Bianca again. Currently have the v2 and absolutely love the machine. It’s super compact, neat and clean looking and brews amazing espressos for my taste. Absolute killer machine in a home environment.
Probably not upgrading to a v3.
Also much prefer the Bianca design over ECM and Profitec machines.
Glad to hear you enjoy yours
For home it's the top notch
does anyone know what is a comparable machine that has a auto timer or app? i love everything about the bianca except waiting 20 minutes for my coffee. is it that hard to include an a timer?
Hello Kyle,,
I appreciate your videos and candidness with your reviews and conversations about coffee.
Thanks - T
Going for the Decent. I can store the Bianca (and pretty much any other machine like a Flair 58) as one of the many profiles in it 😃
7:39 bring it back to that temperature? You mean pressure ?
Hi I was lucky to get a upgrade from my V2 to the V3. As far as I can tell. I like my V3. The heating time is amazing. The low flow works pretty good. I have the steel version with the old trip tray😢. Can you pull some shots with the low flow on or give us some „recipe’s“? That would be nice 👍🏻. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Refer to past videos for flow profiling!
Thanks!
heh wow- the difference in set and overall polish between that quick shot of the v1 and you now. very cool
I've got mine in June, and i love it. The Paddleworkflow for nice Coffeerecipes from Your video works Fantastic
I have the V3, though the silver one with the old drip tray. Even though it is my first machine after using capsules for ever, I would never ever want to have a machine without a paddle ever again. I have not yet found a coffee for which I want to dial in pre-inf and low-flow… too much experimenting going on.
It can become a lot. But I find it nice to have those features if desired!
My friends think of me as a coffee expert, but this video is so detailed that it made me doubt my entire coffee knowledge. I still had fun hahaha.
My friends think of me as a coffee expert. And then I read a Jonathan Gagne blog.
It is a great looking machine in the black finish and a lot of features included for the price. It will be interesting to see how Lelit go forward now that they are part of the Breville / Sage empire.
I think many are wondering what is going to happen!
If now part of Breville, will probably start being made in China!
Automation, modern looks, and control are definitely the killer features of this machine.
Thank you for the video! Please tell me which is better Victoria Arduino or Lelit Bianca coffee machine?
Absolutely love the Bianca but always hated the external boiler. Amazon has a pretty great deal on the BDB that you could do a slayer mod to. The build quality on the Bianca is still way superior but is it worth paying twice for?
Hard to say what is “worth” to someone. For me steam power, automation and build quality are superior. Not to mention aesthetics. But I’d also understand why someone would go the breville route.
Any chance you can do a comparison between the bianca and linea micra??
Would love to. Gotta get my hands on a micra first
This looks like an amazing machine. Very intrigued by the decent but slightly concerned about cost vs longevity - in one way the tablet is a killer feature but concerned about how long that would actually last (no more than 3 years based on other tablets i've owned). This makes me think a workhorse machine like the v3 with no screen might be a better buy...
@KyleRowsell how has the finish of the black model held up?
Great video. I LOVE the flat black with the light wood. I'm currently on a Breville Barista Touch and I'm on the fence between the Bianca v3 and the Decent. I've been lost in the weeds trying to figure out what to do for a while now. lol
Decent and Bianca are very different prices. do you need all the features on the decent?
@@KyleRowsell I don't think I'd use a fraction of the features and the Bianca is like $500 to $600 less than the Decent. Thanks
@@donfitz69 you’re welcome
But maybe someone else will!
what about the steam? Does it make super silky milk?
hello, I have an LM linea mini, but I'm wondering if I should upgrade to lelit bianca v3 or keep the LM? what are your views
How many back-to-back shots can you pull before having to wait for the boiler to reheat?
Hey Kyle. Your review in all Coffee gear are really helpful. I trust your opinion a lot. I did buy stuff after listening to your reviews.
I am also Canadian and wanted to know who do you recommend using to order a lelit?
Thanks for your work and keep doing some awesome content.
is this machine good enough for a small cafe?
Keanu Reeve keeping a close watch 🤣 good review as ever buddy!
Ha thanks for watching!
@@KyleRowsell I bought the v3 after watching your other video. It’s poisonous.
@@wfntube oh… that doesn’t sound like a good thing 😂
Love the look and features of the Bianca, but trying to build the willpower to buy a Decent in Canada...
Decent is no doubt a fancy fancy machine.
Does Lelit have good support in Toronto? Thank you for the review, this is great, Kyle.

Nice. I really want the matte white. Can you show us more on what we can do with low profile. My main reason other than looks is I think with this my wife can actually pull a shit that’s mostly automatic. What don you think? Thx
Refer to my flow profiling videos on what you’re able to do. But it’s fairly capable within its own limitations
What do you think about the VBM Domobar Super New Digital Edition? Seems to have a similar price and capabilities to the Bianca and also comes with a small OLED touch display. Both machines take a different route but they seem to get to the same destination that the user wants to go.
Bianca or Synchronika?? Thoughts?
I think we need to organize a comparison
Love the video. long time listener, first time caller. Just wondering how you find the black surface and the durability against knocks from portafilters etc.
It’s great! I prefer it to the stainless personally
Great video Kyle. I'm really trying holding out for a ECM synchronika with flow control. I currently have Breville Dual Boiler. Hope the end result is worth the big cost upgrade.
All the best! Thanks for watching
Curious what you want out of the ECM - you can get flow control on your BDB in a few minutes with the Slayer mod!
how does this compare to the Rocket Cinquantotto though?
Its such a beautiful machine !
I agree 👀
This machine is a better purchase than a LM Micra correct? Putting build quality/branding aside.
How's the paint quality vs that on the black version of the Lucca M58 Kyle?
Indeed
It is a personal choice!
My short list:
1. La Marzocco Linea Micra
2. ECM Synchronika
3. Lelit Bianca V3
I totally agree I’m ready to buy one of these 3

Do you an opinion on the Lucca M58? Especially relative to the Bianca V3?
Thank you.
Kyle could you consider making a guide to using the Bianca? I've had my V2 for years, but still have questions :)
- What basket would you recommend getting?
- Would you pull mainly 20g baskets, or what would you use?
- How would you set the water temperature? I've had mine hard stuck on 94C
- Do you think having the paddle all the way left should stop all flow?
- I always try to aim my grind so, that when I have my paddle all the way left, I start getting a drip of coffee in the cup at around 10 seconds. Then I let it drip until I have roughly 25g in the cup, after which I turn the paddle back to minimum, which drops the pressure to around 6 bars. And I aim to have 40g in the cup between 35-40seconds (25-30seconds of coffee dripping in to the cup). Does this sound reasonable, or what other methods of brewing would you recommend?
My dream machine!! 🤩
It’s a beauty
Hey Kyle! I’m curious about the actual cleanup of the finish, does it clean as easily as the mirrored stainless finish? Thoughts on keeping the black vs white vs stainless clean, or at least how much you notice it being dirty?
It cleans better
Are you still using flair 58?
Yep! Always
Damn man that thing is stunning 🤩
I agree. And I’m also probably too excited that it matches the studio.
If I was going for a dual boiler the Bianca would be up there with the Pro 700, though for me it's a tossup between the Decent or a spring lever like the Pro 800.
Is the body of the machine painted stainless steel or some other metal
I believe it’s powder-coated stainless but I could be wrong
@@KyleRowsell thank you
But can you use it as a mirror?
Hello Kyle, this question might be a little unrelated, but have you considered comparing the Lelit Mara X to the Profitec Pro 400?
Tamp that like button - just great ! :) did it!
Got Bianca for two months with Eureka XL and its awesome. Really. Value for money is great
I would really like the mat finish tho 😉
Had the Bianca for 2050$ so it was simple decision
Great video indeed. I've been enjoying your library of content for months and this is my first time chiming in. Have you considered looking at the Profitec Pro 400? It seems like it might be right up your alley and comparable although more compact. I'm sure you're aware of the machine as others have reviewed it although it's new this year. Curious to hear your thoughts...seems like quite a bang for the buck. Keep up the excellent work! Thank you for your content.
I have seen the pro 400 and might look into it some day. For now I’ve got some other exciting videos I’m focused on
Hi Kyle, greeting from Chile. Could you please recommend a cheaper espresso machine that you have tried?
Absolutely. Check out breville’s products! I have many videos on cheaper machines!
You mentioned Ecm and profitec so I recon that you had used them before, or even reviewed, but I couldn’t find such video. That’s a little bit strange
lelit bianca or ecm synchronika ??????????
I Answer that at the end!
Good vid amigo! Thx
Thanks for watching
Does this machine have "open flow profiling" the way you can mod a BDB for both lever and slayer style or is it the same as the Slayer style paddle of "low" and then "on"?
Basically can you ramp up and down by 1 bar or so with the paddle or does it just open after a certain point?
It’s a variable paddle that allows you to freely flow
Agree 600 more just for the color/does not improve the espresso
New colour Bianca £2500, Ecm Synchronika with flow valve factory fitted £2500.......
@@jaredcarmichael56 important is the Espresso quality for the extra money spent on decent basket ,grinder decent cups good canister to store your coffee waterfilter ,barista utensil etc.
@rolandlickert2904 Totally agree, have a Mazzer Super Jolly with SSP burrs that I would have upgraded first but it's the coffee machine that has died typically. Also use VST basket and IMS screen. I'm forced into getting a machine now but that being said the Mazzer isn't a bad machine and will last until a new grinder comes. At the moment it's either ECM Synchronika or the ECM Mechanika as I very rarely make milky drinks just espresso and the occasional cappuccino for the lady of the house so could probably get away with an HX especially when you look at what the Mechanika has built in but I'm still finding it hard to pick having come from a dual boiler......
@@jaredcarmichael56 Puristika is a nice machine as well as a straightforward espresso machine with top-notch build quality and a micro milk frother will be more than enough for the occasional cappuccino!
