Some other things that I like: 1. If your commuter trains are getting busy, you can double up the units on some trains to add capacity (so for example 2 of ths dinky commuter trains that you used). This not only will help with overcrowding but also makes for a realistic save. 2. For Airports, keep them well away from the city. If they are too close, the emmisions will upset the residents. You can add express buses to the airport and/or add a train station at the airport. 3. I would avoid intercity buses in general, except: A. If there is an airport between 2 cities, you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone by adding a bus between the 2 cities that serves the airport; B. If 2 cities are close together and you intend to merge them later 4. Instead, you can make bus hubs. I like these to be at the airports. This way, if a passenger wants to go from town A to town B by bus, they have to take bus A to the airport/hub and swap to bus B. This way, you can use 1 bus for both airport and intercity traffic. 5. When making a bus route through a residential district, prioritize low emissions to keep the people happy. Similarly, try to avoid running trains through these areas.
Excellent tips. My main way to avoid traffic is to build even in small towns ring roads using the medium country road - cars passing through the town will use it instead of clogging up the center with lots of intersections. Later on the ring road can be upgraded to a highway like you have.
Noteworthy that increasing corporate (player) profits by separating the zoning types is the exact opposite of what's considered good urban planning these days 😅
My pc can run huge with a city with I would say 10-20 bus stops 10-20 trams-trains and 1-2 planes and a train station with 5-6 platforms all being used
I'm surprised that you didn't talk about branch lines. Those are just as important. Yes, you will have towns and industries out of the main line ranges, so why not have a small, three station branch line with a simple push pull train.
Hi thestain, branch lines are a subcategory of commuter trains, so should be covered. Thanks for letting me know tho and now i can add more specific wording in future
Busses really is not that much slower than local trains. Also trucks. The trick is to have a really good road. What i do is totally dump the regional service, just have major hub supporting a few towns. Then a high speed road from the hub directly to the town with trucks and busses (or trams, what ever is the best). When i get a bit of money over i dig the road down under the ground having the high speed road all the way throw the town with connection path. Busses, trucks and trams are much cheaper to operate than Trains and this way we have one change over less. The departures are also very frequent with a straight throw stop for every line. Then pretty much just use train on the main line and feeding to the main line. While a train is quicker, if the trains are not perfectly synced it don´t matter. The few seconds the buss is slower is made up by it coming into pick up passenger pretty much every few second or so

I don't know who's the company behind this game, how nice and understanding they're, if they listen to the players, how good of a developer team they're in size, but I wanna know more about them, I found this game too late, when it came out that I found out it existed, it's a good game, I know it's completely focused on transport management, but me as a city builder enjoyer, wanted it to be more like a city builder setting, but with the same mechanics it have, I love the modular mechanic on this game, it's better than Sim City, superior over Cities Skylines 2 tried, and this game reminds me of Workers and Resources Soviet Republic, that for me it's what Transport Fever 2 could look like if it was a city builder, now as I said, I don't know the owner of the game, what are them planning, it's the game getting great updates, modding community is doing well, and it's kinda complicated to see more of this game on TH-cam, I'm only a watcher for now, it's the same for W&R, it's a good game but it doesn't get the recognition it should have, but who knows, I really wanted the next one to embrace the city builder side and have his advantage sides to make it even better compared to Cities Skylines that doesn't really care about the transportation side, it's there but it doesn't even matter, what I could like the developers to do in a future game like that is to fix the scale, revamp everything to a respectable size, and something that I wish it could be in Cities Skylines 2, but isn't happening is them to make like a region map, very big with his own history and locations, for the logic of this game, it could simulate the distances and manage far distances better, but in some way I don't know what could happen if they had a massive map, it just need to be well thought, like I'm thinking of a state, and it has his own division of territories, and these places you can load as a map, in these territories according to the regions historic it will have few cities, where you can manage it just like TF2, but the difference is that you have the city builder control, so they could get rid of AI generating the cities, but instead you can plan the roads and districts layout by yourself, and it will realistically develop things the way you have built over time, just like Workers and Resources Soviet Republic, there won't be happening random roads spawning in the city without a though, you could even have control of the city-industries, so you can have things that matter to you and the city you are planning, just like W&R, the industries should look more realistic in scale, the resources needed could have a better thought, you need way more resources for things to function on the city, all the logistics, from small vehicles bringing materials for construction to big loads of resources to factories, even the buildings that get to construct you need to feed them materials, you need locations for extraction of resources, more variety of them in the map in a way that makes more sense, you could even have options to make the specialized industries, they get upgrades over the years, they can go bankrupt and become abandoned, get bought by different entities for different business, you can plan to make construction offices and have ways to get the vehicles for a variety of works, roads take time to get built, you can manage it, it needs materials, vehicles, workers and more levels of complexity to it, maybe this is basically Workers and Resources Soviet Republic but I can't really think of anything else because this game did things that others haven't done, but Transport Fever 2 it's right there, it could really become the next generation city builder of all time, if it was done correctly with the thoughts about it, W&R is going to get completed soon, their owner is planning to do another game, I'm excited to see what will it be like... But I can't stop thinking about what's the future like for a Transport Fever 3 game, I don't know exactly what the owner is thinking, if he prefers the game to be exactly how it is, or if he likes the idea of making their own city builder game, if so it could be massive, they could even get fans from Cities Skylines to their game if it's a good one, even get people from W&R for the management and logistics aspects, I have my fingers crossed, I wanna see what could be like if they give a try and make their own city builder game based on Transport Fever, but upscaling things, I like the idea of having a big region, so you can select any region you want, with his own story and uniqueness to this world, this could be a better way for managing the logistics in far away distances so vehicles can travel around and you could feel it, the immersion.
😳 ouch sorry for this immense text, I just wanted to leave it here as a thought of what this game feels to me, I like it but it needs some adjustments or it's just fine the way it became, I'm excited for the future of it.
The devs are urban games and the publishers are nacon (console) and good shephard entertainment (PC). Not sure whats in the works and if i did id probably have to keep it secret unless they said to share, but i know the devs are always hard at work

By bringing all the cargo to the same place, you can easily transport ALL cargo at the same time across the map, which meaning you only need 1 or 2 trains to do 10 or more trains jobs if you did each cargo individually. It also means trains are full both ways on the journey between yards. Merry christmas!
What is the seed on the map you are playing on in the video?
honestly i dont know, its years old. Check this video out for finding the best seed th-cam.com/video/HmwaELBEfDM/w-d-xo.html
Super! Nice video!
Thank you!
Can use same information on train fever and transport fever 1
yes you can
How too lots of money in transport fever 2 I watched a Ytube vid about deadheading but I find that very hard with certain seeds and industries
Use the cargo method linked in the video
how come the max map size for me is very large
You can enable meglamonic in game config. I have a vid on this. Either that or because console has limitations in place due to performance so cant go bigger
I disagree on the "Custom" idea, yeah it's OP, but I want to keep my maps looking semi-realistic.
Which bit specifically sorry
@@Hushey The Selecting of "all" trains lol, I like basing my routes in reality and decluttering the menus.
@@Dexter037S4 ah, fair. Just gives you more options. Some categories have vehicles subcategories others dont is why i do it
You got the second part of Hiawatha correct you just pronounce the first part “hi-a-wath-a”

Can you do a vid covering transport fever 2 console edition?
I did this when it came out th-cam.com/video/rRztNl2dRzA/w-d-xo.html
@@Hushey thx so much bro
The seed worked :)
Bro can u start a new series pls
i will try in the new year for you
@@Hushey I watched all of ur playlist man creating efficient cargo and passenger lines. I like to see u make it from a new map from 1900.
@VKGAMING-wy2rt I can do better than that! Ill try
Hi Hushey, I hope you're doing well.
This thread is probably dried up, even if you talk about 2024 ..
I love your tutorials (even if, as a Frenchman and the translation on ON and speed at 0.75, I sometimes have trouble following :)
I'm reading your tutorial for 2024, it's great, but alas, most of the mods that make our lives easier are 90-95% outdated, and we're still in 2024.
I'm not a programmer, but I wouldn't understand why a game update imposes a mod update, it's totally counterproductive for the sale of the game.
Go on! ^^
**sorry if GG translation sucks

Thank you!

Separate tracks for passanger and freight trains?
Uhh, no. Watch the video for why theres more to it than the content of the thumbnail. If u need any help feel free to post some screenshots to my discord

Not sure whats in the works and if i did id probably have to keep it secret unless they said to share, but i know the devs are always hard at work
Why can't I find the Megalomaniac map mod?
fixed it - found in your other video the answer, thanks!!
Great! Enjoy
how did you get the bigger map sizes?
Watch the map guide in the video which will tell you step by step.
@@Hushey ok thanks!
I only have 4 map sizes, what mod are you using to get Megalomaniac map size?
its in the vanilla files but needs to be enabled, i have a video covering this on my page if you look it up :)
@@Hushey Awesome! Thanks, ill check it out.
Hiawatha is pronounced, "Hi-Uh-Wah-Th-UH" - Most Native American and even Native Pacific Islanders of Polynesia will have a more phonetic sounding language. So what you see is how you pronounce it. Hi-A-Wa-Th-a is Hi-Uh-Wah-Th-UH Scary Movie 2 butler says it - th-cam.com/video/HcpjP8vHLKY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YqHOULTf4fS_pcJb&t=45

Can you get a large size map on Ps4?
Im not sure! You cant do meglamonic as consoles arent powerful enough but please let me know your biggest size map available!!
It seems like you can only get a medium map with a maximum of 1:3. Also you can only get 1 vehicle type in a playthrough on Ps4.
How do you get the megalomaniac map on Xbox
You cant unfortunately as consoles arent powerful enough
Hushey: "So how can we fix this big traffic problem?"
Me: I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
And this is why no-one asks me to do traffic management.
Also, how the ████ do you only have 9.95k subs? Here, add another one just to apologize for this woeful lack of admiration for your content!
thanks styx 😁 you get the second key for the nuke ill turn the other one 😂
@@Hushey If you don't mind a potentially dumb question - watching this and the original pax and cargo setup videos before it, I get the concept for the cargo setup, right up to the point where the goods get distro'd back *out* across the map to their customers. Am I right in thinking that the wide open consists on the main transpos to the central station can pick these finished goods up for the return trip, so they're not dead heading, and then once back at a sorter they're sent to their final destinations? Is that last mile all done by trucks?
@@StyxRiverGynoid yes!
@@Hushey So really all I need to do is make sure I have routes to cover each city and have wide open trucks from the sorters to them, and the AI will grab what it needs without me having to worry about what to add to the route?
DAMN that's clever!
@StyxRiverGynoid thank you glad you think so
There’s so much bad advice on TH-cam you need a let’s play

Yep, but the title says "you can use in 2024" not "you can only use in 2024". This still works in 2023
