So if you go for realism there are a few small changes you could make. First, you do not need a turn around track. Locomotives would just go around the train and as you use multiple-unit trains they don't need to turn around they can just go both directions and second, a yard would not have multiple tracks that connect to the main line in one direction. All tracks would combine to one track before connecting to the main line. But apart from these two things this is really amazing.
Hey midorish thanks for the comment! While true for real life, the turn around track is needed for a lot of players within the game as trains will start shunting the carriages instead of pulling them without turning around as a large majority of the playerbase play with trains can reverse on. Thats why i added this. Hope you found it useful!
@Hushey that makes a lot of sense. Thank for the answer. I guess with my preferences of building really big yards with enough space for shunting, either parallel to the main line or as a separate thing with only a connection to the main station I never considered that.
That Depot is from Basel in Switzerland at the borders to Germany and France. It’s located next to the train station Basel Badischer Bahnhof. Altough both are located in Switzerland it’s owned by de german railway „Deutsche Bahn“ and actually my working place 😅
Amazing little depot! I had to build my passenger depot a fair bit larger cause it handles multiple commuter lines that all have 10-car+ push-pull consists.
Cool! Share a screenshot to the discord please id like to see that. I recommend you check out some of my latest videos covering trains, as 10 cars is insanely long for commuter trains. Worth checking! Thanks for leaving a comment wceyuki
Definitely! Only included a few mods in the video because a lot of mods could make it more overwhelming for a viewer. This exact mod you are talking about is what i use when i usually make my depots 👍
Love little things like this have played transport games since the OG transport tycoon I play transport fever on console going to start trying stuff like this your vids are really helpful :)
This is exactly the realism stuff I'd love to see implemented in a full let's play in addition to making these huge cities. Could it be done on hard mode going through all the dates with all the evolution from direct lines to all the cargo hubs and distribution hubs? Including early game cash making? Essentially all your videos in one slower build series.... Do i ask to much? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is Epic, is there any chance you could please add one or two steam trains or possibly even a Heritage Railway, this channel is epic & It would be epic too see more.
Some great mods there. The only one really missing was for the platforms. Game generic passenger platforms in the maintenance depot look odd. But the whole build is very good! Very cool simulations. Awesome!
There is one called invisible platform modules but i try to keep mods to a minimum as a large portion of the console community watches my videos as well as PC gang
@@Hushey yeah that makes a lot of sense, but I was thinking there's a mod called Freestyle train station by Lollu on Steam where you can lay platforms like track, but it has no lights and chairs on it etc. :) Just on the recent announcement I'm excited for console players as TF2 are looking to find a way to make mods available for players on console edition!
Another solution can also be a reversing siding i once had a junction that had a divergin main, and a straight going branch to the passenger main, and i had services that needed going from the branch to the curved away main in a way that needed a triangling of the junction, but i changed it so there was an extra loop, so the main couldve gone main, branch and the loop and from the siding to the branch and loop, and from the branch to the siding or main but norhwards | |/ |\| | | / /|
Ps i couldve gone triangle but tbh the blocks were about what i wanted(with the junction troughputs on bothmains) so it wouldve probly been slower than the siding
what i woul love to see is to be able to build a construction and copy paste it where i want. like marking a part of ur construction and just paste somewhere that would help alot with complicated constructions.
But it makes it lot harder to work with the lines later. I tried your approach and when expanding the lines it caused me lot more headache. Plus the trains were not running in full capacity as well. Not worth doing in the early game. Maybe late game it could work.
Maybe I can think of creating a mod for this. We just need to count the number of times it doesn journeys before it goes into a depot line (pit line). And returns back to the line after sometime.

Basically, Transport Fever 2 is just a railway game at this point.
Basically, 90% of the fans are into trains my train vids perform wayyy better than anything else haha
There are some station platforms on the workshop that look like dirt, so that could be good if you want the depot to look more realistic
Definitely! Only included a few mods in the video because a lot of mods could make it more overwhelming for a viewer. This exact mod you are talking about is what i use when i usually make my depots 👍
@@Hushey It is a mod that adds a wooden station with dirt platforms.

i have never thought of doing that. that definetly revolutionizes depots!
Thanks puuro. Im so glad that this was helpful!!
Brilliant mate, I love the Service setup, might have to incorporate that in Billy's Bluff at Cape Hank
That would be so cool!! Glad you liked ham!!
Wow, I could legit never make this, well done🙌🙌🙌🙌
Believe in yourself swxshi!! You can do this!!!

glad you liked it herr!
do you take mod sugestions for future videos?
i dont usually do mod videos but im open to them!
oh ok i was just wanting to recommend the MOTRAS station mod@@Hushey
Always wanted more to depots, I barely use them. Do to the size and just general blocky it is. I prefer mod depots, like the bumper depots.
Will check that out thanks jimmy!
@@Hushey Thanks for the video, the entertainment value and the gameplay with the design is amazing!
What is the red and white train called?
Lastoshka or ICE 1 depending on which one you mean
@@Hushey i needed the lastoshka thx
I love the vid bro keep it up :)
Thank you trainformer!!
Brilliant video, enquiring minds must know what your urgent thing is though lol
I just gotta market my ideas 😅
The stripe on your ICE >.> wrong colour. It hurts. ^^
I chose that color, i like it 😎
Ok this is amazing
Thanks jimmy!
Ooooohhhh so this is TF2 😮🤯
Do truck bus tram and airplane and then have maintenance deport in transport fever 2 can u make videos for that
I think so ronaldo
Hi, I'm a big fan of your tutorials. I was wondering what mods do you use?
If you add me on steam i have a fairly recent collection with all my mods on it!
how can i set custom time and make the map completely empty to start with nothing on it?
Sandbox mode, and custom map save and load it
can I have the mod for the depot? (4:33)

Hi saiponath. This is indended when you have "completed" a game and need to decorate as thats what is left to do
Maybe I can think of creating a mod for this. We just need to count the number of times it doesn journeys before it goes into a depot line (pit line). And returns back to the line after sometime.
Why do you need a depot apart from creating a train? I thought repairs and replacement happen on the go
You dont. The game will function without. This is for players who want pretty/realistic games.
Very nice thank you
glad you liked xsar thanks for sharing!
My train can explode?????
Lol and I’m using the base game stuff like a fool 😃😃
Most if not all the stuff in the video could be done with no mods! They just help :)
