Todd McFarlane (@Todd_McFarlane) is an Emmy- and Grammy-winning director/producer and creator of one of the world’s best-selling comic books, Spawn. He is best known to many comic book fans for his work as the artist on The Amazing Spider-Man, for which he co-created Marvel’s top villain, Venom.
Todd is the CEO of Todd McFarlane Productions, McFarlane Toys (one of the US’s top action-figure manufacturers), and McFarlane Films. He is also a co-founder of Image Comics, which debuted Spawn in 1992, selling 1.7 million copies of the first issue. In 1997, Spawn was made into an Emmy Award-winning animated series on HBO and a live-action feature film that grossed over $100 million. In 2019, Todd made history with Spawn #301, earning the Guinness World Record for longest-running creator-owned superhero comic book series.

[1:37:07] How Todd finds time to create while managing his businesses.
    [1:42:15] Brand matters.
[1:48:25] Making a music video, winning another Emmy, and almost killing Eddie Vedder.

The single greatest interview I've ever followed. I cannot thank you enough for letting Todd share with us who he is. Funny as hell, informative, invigorating, real. One hell of a guy.
    Thanks Todd! Thanks Tim!

Wasn’t expecting part two to a; come so soon, and b; blow past part one to become the best McFarlane interview ever. Long time fans really get to see where Todd the hype man and Todd the artist/husband/father equally struggle on the evolution through the human condition. Thanks to you both for this hyper confluence of interests, it’s the perfect wrap and re-armament for the year.

As a lifeling comic book fan and artist, whose biggest influence is McFarlane, this is by far the best interview I've ever seen with him. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to see my favorite comic creator in this space, and thanks for taking it as seriously as you did. You asked all the question I've been wanting to know the answers to. Please consider interviewing Frank Miller in the same capacity!

Todd is an incredible storyteller. I've probably listened to his story across different platforms, socials, etc. - The same exact timeline, everytime - and there is always something different he sprinkles into it. It's like reading a great book over again or your favourite movie over and over. Thank you for making a difference good sir.

Todd is an amazing person. Thanks again for making a Part II. So many great nuggets of knowledge and of thinking outside the box. Don’t hit walls when the walls aren’t there. Keep your mind open because opportunity will come around in so many ways. Todd went for these opportunities and it kept creating new ones. Could listen to you guys all day.
    Happy Holidays Tim and Todd

2:32:08 After repeatedly saying he wishes he could cut the heads off his enemies, Todd then lectures at colleges about "how to keep your humanity and how to be a reasonable human being." Don't get me wrong, the entire 2 1/2 hour interview is pure gold, and Todd definitely thinks out of the box, but he's not without some rich contradictions. ;)
